The beach is lovely! But stay away from this hotel!
Don't go. There are much better places to stay in Menorca

The resort is beautifull supported by the beautifull beach beside the hotel, the views are amazing!!!!
The beach is very clean and golden sands, it is very nice!!
There is lots to do in the resort, there are lots of bars and cafe's and also a 5 min walk ffrom the hotel is a bar which has a big inflatable play area for the kids whilst the parents can sit and chat watching them have fun playing.

Stayed in this resort 14 years ago for our honeymoon. 14 years on and little has changed. That's a good thing. This resort is small, safe, quiet and uncommercialised.
Ideal for families with small children, honeymooners and couples who want a quiet romantic time strolling along a beautiful sandy bay and swimming in crystal clear calm waters.
Dining out in the resort is excellent, overlooking the bay and under the stars. If you want nightclubs and loud everything, this is not the resort for you.
I would class this resort as elegant with a stunning bay.

the resort is queit with a few bars and restaurants, there is also a few bouncy castle places which the children loved and the adults could watch whilst enjoying a drink or two. The beach is lovely and the views are stunning.

The resort of Arenall D'en Castell is very small but friendly. Did not really go out of the hotel complex much as there was more than enough at the hotel to keep us all occupied.

Beautiful resort, really pretty and a lovely beach.(though it wasnt as clean as you,d expect) Most of the bars and restaurants are up either hills or lots of steps so it would be difficult for people with walking problems or if you have prams. The entertainment in this resort is some of the best ive seen, from The Irish bar where the girl does Irish dancing for you to the tribute bands (the Beatles, Take that, The Temptations and many more) theres something for everyone.

I love Arenal Den Castell - if I could afford an apartment or villa this is where I would like it! It is clean, peaceful, beautiful scenery, lovely cliff walks, amazing views. A very family orientated resort. There are bars and restaurants but no clubs etc. I cannot wait to go back again.

The hotel we stayed at was very close to the beach which was a lovely bay with clear seas and beautiful sands and although there was no rubbish there were quite a few cigarette ends around where the sun beds had been.
For two sun beds and a parasol for 1 day it cost around 15-16 euros which to me seemed a little expensive.
However there are many restaurants and cafe-bars very close to the beach that sell food ice cream and beverages like Goody Goody which is situated at the end of the beach, a very short walk for a child looking to find ice cream!
One small restaurant that i was very pleased with was The Good Bridge Cafe as it didn't seem too appealing from the outside but once we were inside there was great, quick service in a clean, well maintained restaurant and cheap meals that were delicious and beautifully presented!
For night life there are a few bars which close quite early or you have the choice to travel into Mahon for the nightlife however a taxi is around 15 euros so i wouldn't suggest making this trip every night!
One of the best tihngs about this resort was the Irish Bar 51! It looks like a small local pub from the outside but is full of great entertainment after around 8 oclock. There are english and spanish speaking staff so no communication problems and they sell many engliah ales which my boyfriend was very pleased about! During our visits we experienced live irish dancing, live irish music and a kareoke. The bar stays open until around 5-6 oclock the next morning most night as it holds a disco after midnight.
One of the live irish artists that play at the bar should really come with a warning as he is absolutely hilarious and has the majority of the crowd in tears of laughter as he plays many well known songs usually with a bit of a rude twist. The children present enjoyed it also even if they were not always sure what he was talking about!
Overall a wonderfull resort, would definately recommend The Good Bridge Cafe and The Irish Bar 51!

Arenal resort had several bars and several small supermarkets, so you are catered for, but still I'd hire a car for a few days as its real easy driving round the island.
Cove Noves at start of resort has options for kids as well as boutique and bars.
2 main hotels - Aquamarina which has best entertainment at nights, some other hotel that Thomsons run as adults only I think.

The resort is not a resort as I anticipated. There was no commercial centre or shopping area, other than a small number of less than super supermarkets and a couple of overpriced souvenir shops and duty free perfume at prices which were beaten by our local branch of Wilkinsons!!
The beach was very clean (smokers please find a bin for your tab ends!!!!) and the sea and bay were safe and stunningly attractive.
The only reason I would be disinclined to visit this resort is that it has nothing to offer other than the tranquility and quiet, which is fine if that is what you are looking for but after a few days I felt a change of pace was in order and there was nothing to accommodate that.
