Location
There are 3 pools each with a kids section also 2 bars, play ground and mini market.
The night time entertainment was dreadful with a handful of very big headed British kids running it.
When booking this holiday I feel that we should have been advised that this actual apartment complex was exclusive to English holiday makers with a result that we were the only Irish in the place very few Scots or Welsh! I have nothing against English don't get me wrong but part of going abroad is to experience other nationalities.

The rooms are, as everyone has stated, fairly small for a family of four. Cleanliness (or the lack of it) was definately an issue throughout our time at Binimar. Upon arrival we noticed a pile of cigarette ash which had been swept into a pile near the patio door that leads out on to the (small) balcony. This pile of ash was to remain with us throughout the duration of our stay.
Towels were changed 3 or 4 times out of two weeks and the beds were not changed at all. On the ocassions that the maids did decide to grace us with their presence we were still in bed as it was 8.30-9am and be warned if you're not out by then they will not return at a later time. We did not leave them a tip.
The bathroom is small, the shower is useless, we found ourselves washing our hair under the tap everyday. Two marble slabs that surrounded the sink fell on my leg a few days into the holiday. The hotel's solution to this was to remove the other slab which probably would have fell of within the week as it too was only securred by a thin layer of glue, therefore leaving the pipes beneath the sink exposed.
As our room was situated very near to the complex entrance, every person who was slightly worse for ware had to pass our hotel room singing irish folk songs at 2am. Newcomers to the hotel also contributed to keeping us awake wheeling suitcases beneath our window at all hours, as did the holiday reps who were staying in the room below us, even when my dad politely asked them to be quiet.
We were un fortunate enough to have the room above the indoor bar. The music started up about 1am most nights so be warned if "I would do anything for love" is not your cup of tea at this hour.
The lack of airconditioning was definately a huge disadvantage. My dad slept on the balcony most nights as it was that hot. God help the person who ends on on the sofa bed(S.) Your spinal cord will never be the same again.
Those of you who are optimistic about lying on a hotel sunbed, dont be, that is unless you intend to be up at 6am to claim one. We were very tempted to throw a few towels in the pool as we were the only ones around the pool oneday yet mysteriously every sunbed was reserved.
I cannot comment on the entertainment as the only time we attempted to watch it, Westlife were being murdered and we couldnt get a seat anyway.
Our Rep was animated, bless her, she was the only thing that was on that complex, apart from those with whom we exchanged words at 2am. It is definately a family hotel with a games room downstairs to keep kids entertained although we didnt venture near the kids club.
The hotel pools were good. Tip: the only bit of shade can be found near the 3rd pool which is also your best bet for finding a sunbed.
Cala n Forcat was a nice resort which i would consider visiting again although my mum did describe it as "Blackpool with sun."

You have to hire fans (15 euros for the week) and we also hired a buggy (20 euros a week)Cleaners came in and changed towels and sheets 5 /7 days. First Choice reps were availiable all day and evening and there was a 24 hour reception staff.
There are three pools, a bar, restaurant and shop on site and we spent the majority of our time by the pool. Towels are thrown on sunbeds - but if we could not get sunbeds when we arrived at the poolside at 10am (is that not early enough!)we just moved them. (there are notices everywhere prohibiting putting towels on Sunbeds)
Evening entertainment was ok - kids enjoyed it, there is a kids club but my seven year old was more intrested in playing pool and swimming.
Food was ok on site, we were in self catering so we picked up stuff for our breakfast from the various supermarkets. (if you are self catering and want a cooked breakfast it's about a 5-10 min walk to find an open restaurant)
This is a fairly noisy hotel (until approximetly 1 am) but this was fine.

Was very suprised on how small the rooms were, the bed matresses have not been changed since Franco was in power!!
We were the first to arrive and the place was just starting to open up, we decided to go half board and this was 10 Euros a day for adults and 6 for children. The food varied from average to fairly good, but for 10 euros a day it was well worth the money.
Towels and bed sheets were changed 5 out of 7 days a week which was good, but the sheets did not fit the beds properly!!!
The on site supermarket was expensive compaired to the local supermarket over the road.
We did have a problem with the room with a very stong smell of raw sewage, but the staff were very good, transfered us and gave us a bottle of (decent) wine to boot.
The hotel entertainent ranked from awful to fantasic, (the spanish organist John was so bad he was funny). The entertainment rep (Rhiane)was very good and did her best given a total of 3 CD's (the pc containing music was broken) avalible and unwanted help by one of the Spanish employees.
I believe that the place is due for a good upgrade, I would suggest that if they made the rooms bigger and went more "upmarket" they would still be a runaway sucess

Place is as everyone has said, Large complex.
It is clean, the food is definately average, had better in 2 star in Benidorm. Everything is geared around the kids, very noisy, especially around the pool, we walked to the Almirante Farragut most days for some peace and quiet.
The entertainment is dire.
No wonder Airtours are in trouble if they think this is 3 star+ accommodation, they need lessons from Thomsons in many areas.
Cala n' Forcat is a concrete purpose built tourist trap, with no character, just some nice beaches. It's not cheap either.
We won't be going again.
