The hotel could be doing with re modernisation especially the bathrooms. The maid was in every day except sunday, beds changed every third day and towels every two days. The apartment was swept and washed every day. The location was excellent food fine we didn't have any problems as regarding sunbeds. I would go back to this hotel but only with children as it catered more for them than adults. The entertainment was ok but we preferred the square or the irish pub.

My partner and I were on a self catering holiday.

The complex could definitely do with a lick of paint!!

We only used the restaurant for lunch meals (twice)the rest of the holidays we ate out.

The location of the apartments were ok very close to shops bars etc.

We were fortunate enough not to have any dealings with the staff or reps (in fact cant recall seeing any reps during the day!!)

We only had one drink at the bar each night before heading off out for our entertainment so can't pass comment on that or lack of it.

No I would not visit here again next time we are going to hire a private villa.

We had no probs getting a bed around the pools that could of had something to do with the time of year that we were there.

We had a 1 bed apt which was fairly big although could do with updating. Our room was opp the kids club by the sand pit/park we had a ground floor which was good and luckily we had bars and a gate to lock our 12month old in whilst we were sitting on our patio otherwise he would have been off!

There are 3 pools here all really nice the kids enjoyed the big one the best.

The restaurant is ok a bit on the small side not much room for a highchair for people to squeeze past.

The entertainment was good most nights, it was outside whilst we were there but it could get a little chilly.

Room was cleaned daily although we did have a big problem with flies in the room every night, maybe because we were by the sandpit!

The resort is good lots of shops bars etc the kids loved the bouncy castles at the bars.

Beach not too good better at C'an Blanes which is a half hour walk or you can get the little train there, not much there though just a hotel and beach.

Would go back to Menorca again but my try another resort, had a lovely time though.

Just come back from Binimar on a family holiday. Had an ace time, absolutely love the resort as a whole and these apartments are quite close to the centre so its all good! Although it is fairly noisy til about midnite time because of all the entertainment, in the resort and at the surrounding apartments.

Apartments are nice, plenty of mirrors and plugs which is good for a lass on a night out :D balcony had a good view but the bedroom window looked onto about 6 other apartments, so if you like your privacy i wouldnt chose Binimar! The kitchen was cleanish but I have seen better, had a few appliances so that was ok, the dining / kitchen / living room area is very small, once you get the camp bed up youve not much chance of moving about the apartment!

It was full of small kids so its obviously a good place for a family holiday and the kids club reps are awesome!! Ed, Claire, Rich, Hannah and Donna do a great job, deffo recommend the Airtours Kids Club! Pools are nice and big so its good for swimming, we found the middle pool to be the quietist. Be warned you have to get up at 8 am if you want a decent sun lounger, as alot of people go down and reserve them early or even do it the night before!!

Reception staff are nice and freindly (Julia is tops!) and helped us whenever we needed anything, to b fair we didnt need much but they were always on hand!

TOP TIP: Ask at reception for a second room card, with only one it can get a bit tricky if you arent all in teh same place at the same time, we had two and it was ideal for when I got in early morning time from Breeze!

Food from the snack bar was nice and not badly priced, cheeseburgers are yummy! :D But there's alot of nice restaurants about (Sa Caldereta) which are well worth a try so I wouldnt stick to the resort restaurant unless you have to.

Its easy enough access to the beach, although that little beach next to Binimar is a bit poxy and seen as I dont really like sand we tended to go to the Los Delfines beach, which is mostly concrete platforms but its ace for jumping in etc! Well worth a visit!

All in all I'd say : Get me back there next year!!

just got back 14/08/04, hotel staff were friendly.entertainment staff worked very hard but they seemed very amature.the big problem was you had to be up at 7 am to get a sunbed any later and the beds were already covered in towels.

This was our 11th time here & Still enjoyed our visit.I found their was plenty of sun beds always managed to get some but just lack of space to put them which can't be helped. The staff are very friendly & the entertainment team where great & worked very hard to make sure everyone had a great time. The cleaning was not it's best this year but we really weren't in the apartment that much. Pleanty going on around the middle pool during the day for adult & children. Great entertainment in the evening outside till 12 then it moved to the show bar till 1 am. Close to the centre where there is plenty of reasturants to choose from.We will be back 1st August next year.

Just returned from the Binimar - never again. We were self catering for which we are eternally grateful. On the one occassion we tried the breakfast it was similar to eating in the school canteen and the one ocassion we tried to eat dinner there it was practically inedible!!!!!!!Yuck.

The cleanliness of the apartments is also in question. The apartments are compact(?)so should be easily and quickly cleaned. There was a maid service 5 days a week, they changed the ill fitting bed linen everytime along with a quick sweep & mop of the floor, unfortunately our cleaner was either blind or incompetent! I found the location to be ideal. Far enough from the centre but an easy walk to anywhere you wanted to go.

The kids reps appeared to be uninterested in anything the few times I was unfortunate to meet them - unless they were asking for money. My children attended these sessions only a couple of times and were not enthusiastic about going. No wonder if the reps treated them the same as they did the parents. Also if you are on a sundeal(?)and the kids club is full your children will not be able to attend. This happened when I was there and there was a lot of very disappointed children. It also seems they can cancel the kids club whenever they desire and not tell anyone.

I would never ever ever return to these apartments they are noisy both day and night. The adults seem to allow the children to do whatever whenever they wish. The noise starts at about 7.00am and does not finish until well after 1.00am. the entertainment may end at midnight but the drinking and any associated noise does not. No complaints tegarding the sunbeds, always seemed to get one when we wanted. We used the bottom pool but I am aware of the other pools all having the sunbeds taken by 7.00am and guess what there were no Germans staying there.

The reps were constantly badgering the holidaymakers for money supposedly for a sick child in the U.K. and I am as willing as anyone to contribute but not several times everyday.

The Binimar is a sprawling, inpersonal housing estate in desperate need of redevelopment - you do not get to know your neighbours - There are no boundaries or rules to be followed which allow others to enjoy their holiday. We did have an excellent holiday but we could have had an even better one had we not stayed at the Binimar. Please, please, please do not go there!

Have just returned from this hotel and would rather boil my head in oil than ever return! It had all the charm of an inner city council estate complete with gangs of teenagers hunting in packs after dark making as much noise as they could and tearing the smaller kids lilos' and floats apart. Most of the apartments are in dire need of updating and I don't mean a lick of paint!!!

The hotel staff were indifferent to say the least and the airtours reps were a bunch of kids who couldn't care less and certainly didn't instill any confidence in anyone with a genuine problem -or otherwise!

The "Restaurant" was a joke (school canteen would be a more apt description) along with the food and service. We were on a Half-Board basis but 'chose' to eat out or prepare our own food than eat the 'Swill' on offer.

On one of our only visits for breakfast the Canteen was so crowded and we were so fed up of falling over buggies that we took our tea outside to drink - Big Mistake - we recieved a diatribe of abuse from the waiter who took it from us and even took the biscuit that my daughter was eating out of her hand.

The Kids Club was a huge disappointment with kids regularly being turned away because they weren't booked on Holiday Plus and there weren't enough reps to look after them. I personally saw many upset children asking their parents why they " couldn't join in" especially after the reps had given the Kids Club the hard sell at the welcome meeting. My 10 year old went a couple of times but as they were all rammed into a stifling wooden hut and treated the same as the toddlers found it too hot and too boring.

The accommodation itself was in 'Estate Agents' speak 'Bijou'- (meaning small and cramped) although there were only three of us we had a balcony ?? which could only hold two people.( which I suppose was just as well, as the noise day and night was too horrendous to want to sit out as a family). In the first week we saw a maid only three times and our floor was only swept and cleaned once in two weeks - The day before we left!!. For the people who called these apartments "clean" I would like to recommend Specsavers!!

We watched as sunbeds around the pool were reserved in quantities from 12 to 7 at a time from 6.15 am every single morning (apart from our last morning when the pool attendants chained them up.)Although I am aware that some families at the lower pool didn't have quite the same problems as at the first two pools.We were at the first.

The Entertainment left a lot to be desired I've seen better, more professional perfomances at my daughters Junior School. I was "especially impressed"!? where, Men from the audience were dressed as transvestites and encouraged to grab a male partner and burst balloons by performing psuedo sexual acts on stage i.e doggie fashion female jumping on top etc.. Very appropriate for the young audiences attending ??????????
All this performed on stage in a huge square resembling any city centre at kicking out time. The noise was so bad all around the hotel that we were often bumping into couples with young children deliberately staying out 'til gone 1am because it was impossible to get the children to sleep before that.


We hired a car and got out of this place as often as possible and visited some beautiful resorts and saw some very nice accommodation at other places. We tried and tried to get out of the Binimar but the Reps were just too lazy and not in the least bit interested in helping. We offered to pay more, anything in fact to get out but was amazed at how often the office was closed or the Rep not there.

We met some lovely people on holiday and it was THEM(not the Binimar, not the staff, not the Food, not The Kids Club, not the Entertainment and most certainly NOT the kids who call themselves REPS) who made sure that this holiday was not a total waste of time and money.

BINIMAR!! - BIN-IT-ALL This place is Tacky, Cheap and not worth your hard earned cash. Do yourselves a BIG favour now and DON'T GO.

By the way I have only given 1's on this report for diabolical because there was no rating below Zero for PURGATORY !!

We booked in faith with Airtours to the Binimar apartments in Cala n Forcat, Minorca. We booked the holiday on the understanding that the accommodation was 3+ stars rated and had a family friendly,

What a nightmare. This resort was tacky and unclean.

The staff were terrible, even locking us out of the apartment thinking we were leaving that day. The room keys never worked, we went through at least five keys during our stay.

The appearance of the resort was like looking into a tin of quality street you daren't look at the walls without the fear of getting a migraine.

The pools were crowded everyday, however, the only thing that was clean were the pools.

Housekeeping was atrocious, we had to grab toilet rolls ourselves off the maids trolley because they didn't seem to think that we needed any.
