The beach was tiny, would probably accommodate about 9-10 families.
The local restaurants were good value particularly Les Delphines,(for paella, not pizzas),Cuore restaurant for all the food we had.

Cala n' Forcat is very small with one main street with supermarkets shops and restaurants. It is a very quiet place. There is a regular bus service to Cuitadella and the fare is 1.60 (Euros). The beach is quite small and is at the end of a small inlet. We have been to this resort twice now because we like the quiet and we would go again.

Cala n Forcat or Cala n Blanes/Los delfines as the locals call it was billed in the holiday brochure as the resort with the most going on for shopping, entertainment etc....all we can say is that if this is the busiest resort, whatever you do, don't go to any of the other resorts on Menorca, if you actually want to be able to do more than watch the sunset.
The resort consists of a roundabout from which three roads run off, with shops, bars, restaurants running along the three roads for about 100 yards with a little square ( called the square believe it or not ) off one of them with a couple of bars open until 6am and some other bars including Jimmy Hills which was a good allrounder, if somewhat dear.
I would describe the nightlife at this resort as fairly low key for adults, but explosive for kids, with dozens and dozens of bouncy castles all over, along with the waterpark, which seemed well patronised, and various rides and games dotted around.
For lunches we found a cafe called Castaways which served good, cooked food at reasonable prices varying from a light snack to a full meal. The owner Diego was very friendly and customer service was his little baby. One day he got our order slightly wrong, so he proceeded to cook what I had ordered, after I had eaten what he had brought by mistake, then gave me it on the house with a lot of apologising. It was nice to see someone who still values their customers.
The resort itself was clean and well kept, and there were no yobs, lager louts or touts about. You felt very safe, and the local police made regular patrols around the area. They must nave been very bored, because we did not see one instance of bad behaviour in the two weeks we were there, now try saying that about the UK.
As for the beaches, well there's not a lot to say. There are a couple around the resort at the end of the little coves, but unfortunately they would be lucky to hold more than 20 people at a time, as they are very small.
Cuitadella the old capital is a must to go and see, as it is grand but has a lovely quaint old charm at the same time. It is only 10 minutes on the local excellent bus service which stops at various points around the town including right outside the Almirante Farragut. The fare is only 1.3 euro's each.
On the whole this was a clean, safe resort which catered mainly for children, so if you want action or a child free resort, this is not for you.

The season hadn't really got going when we were there but there were plenty of nice restaurants to choose from. Never ventured to the beach as we had small children. Shops were mainly full of tat! Some restaurants have playgrounds for kids (small charge).

The resort is clean and friendly, and very child friendly if you need that. Food of all types is on offer, and you can buy all the usual holiday souvenirs. Be aware that there is no tobacanist in the resort, and following the changes in the law, cigarettes can be bought from machines, and I believe some bars, but if you want to buy in bulk you must make a trip into Cuitadella - a short bus ride away - or probably Mahon. The airport has a limited range too.
Anyone looking for large sandy beaches will be disappointed, the beaches are small and clean, I much prefer the rocky ledges to sunbathe and swim from, and there are plenty of them.

The resort offered plenty to do and was very clean and tidy.
There were some good restaurants and some awfull ones los delfines ane the orient chinese were both great value with fantastic food, I would avoid the grandfather where I was served raw chicken.
We only ever went to the nearest beach which was 5 mins walk from hotel it was quite small but very pretty and perfect for toddlers as the sea was lovley and shallow and with it being October it was fairly quiet but the weather was still good.

Cala'n Forcat isn't going to win any prizes for it's Menorcan character (visit lovely Ciutadella for that) or scenic beauty (visit Cala Galdana for that) and beach lovers should also steer clear as it has probably the most disappointing tiny little beach I've ever seen. What it does offer however, is a pretty lively atmosphere by Menorcan standards which probably makes it a good choice for young families and young couples with the Aqua Center waterpark probably the main attraction for youngsters.

The resort of Cala N Forcat is nice.
Plenty of shops and restaurants and things for kids to do eg bouncy castles, racing cars, pool.
The resort was very clean, and quite safe, although there was this one man who seemed hellbent on speeding around the resort on his motorbike.
The beach is ok, it was a bit small, but we didnt spend too much time there. There is another beach in Cala n Blanes 3 mins away which is very nice. Fantastic holiday!
