this is the second time we have visited this resort and cannot fault it. it is kept extemley clean and has fantastic coves and beaches all around(highly recommend the scuba diving with local dive firm).the water is chrystal clear and alive with a variety of fish, big and small.the beaches are golden never too overcrowded.
plenty of bars, most with individual entertainments, being it live acts or big screen, music or just peace and tranquility.plenty of restaurants to choose from, and lots of shops all open till late.
for peace of mind there is a local chemist which proved very helpful and informative even if it was only for just a prickly heat rash!.
there are several sites which offer day and evening entertainment for the kids, from massive inflatable areas to bungee trampolining.there is also a fair size water park which is worth a visit.
all in all a great resort to spend your holiday in, and highly recommended for families.

Small resort but enough to do in the evening.
Beach small and did get over crowded but was set in a lovely cove close to the hotel

The resort itself is very clean.
The entertainment was very good especially in the square.
The coves[beaches]were also very clean, [apart from the invasion of jellyfish when we visited it]

Very pleasant resort we felt very safe walking around the bars and shops. It took us a fair amount of time to find somewhere decent to eat eventually we came across Maxi's Snack Bar which had good food and service as well as the best view of a sunset we have ever seen.

First things first, we read reviews on this site and though Vista Picas sounded good, but hey, it's all about personal taste and preferences. I'm pleased to say we were open minded and have to agree, this place is excellent.
Cala n Forcat is mainly centred around the family with quite a few good restaurants Es Forn being our favourite
(give the Chicken salad a whirl)along with Las Brasas, Cuore and a nice little chinese (oriental dragon ?), others were really much of a muchness. The 'square'has bars surrounding a stage and this seemed to have free entertainment almost every night but bar prices reflected this.
Cuitadella the capital is well worth a visit, I'd suggest evening and do a nice meal in the harbour, we found an excellent place that did a three course menu at a fixed 18 euro (fantastic VFM !!- food was plentiful and very tasty.
I'm not a beach person, good job really as there's no real beach to talk of. We did walk down one day and it is very small but saw none of the supposed jellyfish.
Will we go again - without a doubt and so should you !!

Clean resort with no lager louts causing trouble. Ideal for families with children as every other bar/restauraunt has a bouncy castle/trampoline/soft play area where the kids can play safely whilst you enjoy a drink & meal.

Calan Forcat was the perfect resort for families. Having a young family we didn't get out of our apartments that much to sample the resorts entertainment and night life but if the small part we visited (about a 10 minute walk during the day) is anything to go by this resort was one of Menorca's best.

Calan Forcat is small and compact with about 10-15 poor-to-average resturantes, and one superb resturante 'Las Brassas'
Entertainment was poor, with only one public venue running tribute shows maybe 3 times a week.
If you are interested in Corro' street or soccer, wou will have no trouble filling your evenings with the crap most of us are trying to get away from as all the bars have it on all day long.
The Aqua park is a good day out if you have kids. 1/2 price after 3:00.
The Cove down the lane behind the church is a superb swimming facility.
Bouncy castles everywhere for the kids.
Make sure to take a bus-ride into Cuitadella, as it is an authentic town (Forcat is not). go at about 3:00 its too hot earlier, and there is a seiesta.
