There are plenty of places to eat and drink. The best place to get some good English food is the Black Horse.
The beach is clean and nice but quite small and my hubby got stung by a jellyfish there.
There are plenty of things for little ones to do it is an ideal place for families and anyone wanting a relaxing holiday.

Most lively resort on island enjoyed the stay to long a walk down to the so called beaches many bouncy castles and trampolines for the kids to play, but be careful couple of accidents.
Restaraunts not much meals could have been better if you can hire a car and get around the island you will enjoy the different resorts beaches in calan bosch was the best.

We fley out to Menorca on 27th may 2005. We flew with Monarch which was a great airline!well we thought!
We arrived in Mahon airport at approximatly 11.30am, we went over to the carousel to be reunited with our luggage and after waiting just under an hour for it to come round, it had not arrived. 1 out of 4 cases arrived out of our party. we went out to find a First Choice rep to help us as we didnt know what to do. They just rudely said to us that our transfer coach was waiting for us and we had to go, we had no suitcases and refused that transfer.
We went to an Iberia office- Monarchs baggage handler and explained what had happened, the man told us our suitcases would probably not arrive for another 2 or 3 days!this was the start to a disasterous holiday!
We had no choice but to get on the next transfer coach. One and a half hours later we arrived in Menorca Sea club.
It looked nice, the weather was hot and sunny, but we felt lost without our luggage. We went straight to reception to ask what had happened to our luggage and they phoned Iberia at Mahon aorport. They did not know where they were! the next day we went back to reception and asked had they heard anything?they phoned Iberia and said that the cases would arrive at later on that day. The cases did not arrive.
Everytime we asked a rep for help they just shrugged their shoulders, not showing a slight bit of interest! We werent even offered a tea or coffee as a good will gesture to make us feel a bit better. We went back to reception later on that day to be told our luggage was not arriving as they are in Malaga! Three days had passed and we were being told our luggage would arrive but unsuprisingly everytime it didnt!
We kept asking the reps if they had a spare bikini or something I could wear in the pool, they just casually said go out and buy one! We did not have that kind of spending money on us so we continued to wait in the same old clothes for 4 days (washing them every night). We were told by reception that our luggage was in Gatwick, why hadnt it been sent yet!!!??? It finally turned up on the 5th day and the weather turned bad!
I was very disapointed with the lack of good customer service which was given to us throughout this awful situation. I want to take this oppotunity to praise the reception as they were absolutly brilliant, they were so helpful and went beyond what thier job requirements! However even though the staff seemed frindly, nothing was being done to make us feel comfortable or secure. We did not get anything out of this other than a ruined holiday.
Whilst we understand it was not First Choices fault, we have been on holidays with them year after year and they have always provided us with excellent customer service but this time we did not feel they did thier best to make us feel better. The resort was nice but they did not show us that they are able to handle difficult situations appropriately and we will never choose to book our holidays with First Choice again!!!

The resort was just one big wide TV, every bar had a tv and most had one on each wall. TVs are great for those very sad people that pay to go away and then sit in a english bar drinking beer watching english football.
If you are looking for a holiday that allows you to broaden your mind and see some local culture then stay away from this place.

We loved cala n forcat. we have 2 small children under five. So the bounce castle and whale parks were great, they made our holiday.
There were a lot of restaurants to chose from and they were all child friendly. The music goes of at 12 o'clock and the bar close for the evening.
If you are look for a relaxing holiday with the kids you will enjoy this resort.
The beaches are small coves, but good for fishing with the kids.

There are plenty of bars, restaurants, shops and supermarkets to choose from in the resort (typical of a Spanish resort though), and as already mentioned by others, lots of bouncy castles!
On the minus side, there is an awful lot of litter, particularly on waste land which seems to become a dumping ground for just about everything (a lot of English people were commenting on it).
This was our first visit to Menorca (although we have been to Spain and the Canaries etc numerous times). When planning the holiday, I had difficulty deciding whether to stay at Cala ‘n Forcat or Cala Galdana, but the reviews here finally helped me decide on the Almirante Farragut.
I went on a trip to Cala Galdana as I was curious to see if I had made the right choice, particularly as I had heard how beautiful the beach is there. However, although the beach at Cala Galdana is without doubt beautiful and it is a lovely resort, I felt that I’d made the right choice for my party as we are not beach-lovers and although we are not party animals we do like to have a good variety of shops/restaurants/bars within the resort.
Hence the small beach at Cala ‘n Forcat was not an issue for us as we loved to potter about around the cove.
Incidentally, out of curiosity we went into a couple of hotels in Cala Galdana which we’d seen in holiday brochures back in the UK and noted that the corridors to the bedrooms in both hotels weren’t as spacious as the Almirante Farragut.

Resort was said to the most liveliest in Menorca but I think we went out of season as it was farily quiet so we ended up enjoying the hotel entertainment mostly.
Definitely a good place for families and couples and not really single people - although we did have a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday.

Everything was close by, small water park tens mins away, and plenty of shops.
Small beach near by that you can hire sun beds for and ice cream and drinks avaliable to by.

This was the tackiest place I have ever been, Butlins abroad is the best way to describe it, if you ever want to go on holiday to a place with misbehaved kids and uninterested reps then this is the place for you.
Menorca as an island has very little to offer with only a handful of authentic restaurants throughout, so if you like British food and undesirables then book now, however if you want a quiet relaxing holiday avoid this place and Menorca like the plague!

The resort is what I would describe as pleasant. Probably not best suited to groups of 18-30 as there didn't seem to be a huge amount of clus and discos but all in all a nice family resort where you can find a balance for those who want to relax and those who want to have fun.
