Rooms in Main Hotel have more breeze and sea view. They are also closer to the main facilities
Didn't bother with the themed restaurant, the normal one was excellent.

I didnt realy spend much time looking around and doing activities. i spent most of my time by the pool at the hotel, or in the arcade or in the pubs. but it was much enjoyable. I had a great time and wish to come back again.

Have just returned from the resort of Corralejo.
Having stayed in Caleta De Fuste on 2 previous occasions, I found Corralejo to be a very 'compact' resort, i.e. most of the shops, bars and restaurants were situated on the main road.
The resort itself has a lot of building work in progress and this gives the appearance of a somewhat dusty, drab looking place.
The beach is made up of three areas, the town beach by the harbour being the best part. The other areas tended to have a lot of seaweed at the shoreline and were quite rocky in places, with few sunbeds available.
We hired a jeep and visited Cotillo - which has breathtaking views, we spotted dolphins whilst we were there. The sand dunes are a must see - they really are fascinating.
We also visited the water park which has something for everyone and prices for food and drink are reasonable. A market is also situated next to the water park and is on Mondays and Fridays from early morning to early afternoon.
The sun is very strong on Fuerteventura and with the constant winds blowing, it is easy to burn without noticing, so please use high factor, especially for children. Mosquitoes were also a problem and all members of our family were bitten, repellents can be bought in resort.
Although not a 'beautiful' resort, Corralejo caters for all tastes, and yes, we stay in the resort again.

This was our first visit to the island. It is not the most picturesque but you are guaranteed good weather and the beaches are lovely. It is very cosmopoliton and difficult to know who actually belongs there - which took away some of the reason I like going to other places - to meet locals etc - but we weren't sure who that actually was as so many nationalities.
You get hassled a bit by people wanting you to come into their restaurants etc - but you soon get used to them.
Watch out however for girls selling scratch cards - they are usually trying to get you to sign up for other holidays etc.
Last word on the water park - just opened and not all slides etc were opened - I would give it until the summer before visisting - they might be organised by then.

The resort is brilliant for a quiet, relaxing yet social holiday. We made lots of friends and loved the salsa night in bar Rumba! The music square is full of lots of great restaurants and the fire dancers add to the atmosphere.
The beaches are lovely with warm shallow waters.
Lunch for us was great on the sea front with the harbour in view. We only stayed a week but it seemed longer because the whole place is so relaxed. Not to rush about or stress out for a whole week did me the world of good and I hope it does for future holiday makers!
The excursions to Lanzarote and the boat trips are well worth a go.
I can’t wait to travel back to Fuerteventura!

Corralejo has massive building works everywhere. 28 tower cranes in operation visible from Las Marismas!
Adjoining building work though caused little problems because of "bowl-type" layout of Las Marismas.(We were on ground floor facing in - may have been different if on 3rd floor facing out over works).
Many restaurants etc 10/15 minute walk away so we never used hotel restaurant but it looked popular for dinner.
Good offers available now while getting established and units new. Walk in rate in April was Euro43.89 per night for 1 bed apartment.

The beach was beautiful but very windy. We thought a windbreak would make a difference, but too windy to put up. We almost took off.

Food - the Staff of the "Waterside" in the town are friendly & all the food is good there. They dish up a wicked Sunday roast, if you're hankering for home...the also make the nicest Sangria I've ever tasted.
The staff at the “Subway” sandwich bar are friendly and patient. Poco Loco was pretty good...The Singing at the "rock bar" is entertaining, if only for comic value, but the more cocktails you have, the better they sound.
Holiday Highlights- chasing dolphins on the glass bottomed boat, the Quad bike safari...Natural stuff-the Dunes...the Sunsets-the "Black" sand beaches on the SW coast...we hired a wrangler jeep in Wendys in the town centre, much cheaper than the airport, or any pre-book I've seen

Correljo is a lovely town with plenty of places to dine and drink. Plenty of shops too for shoppers wishing to spend plenty of money.Night life not over the top, can get busy in the early hours by the bar/club areas. We landed on easter weekend easter carnival on the island, its the busiest weekend of the year where the locals party till early hours of the morning!
