Didn't bother with the themed restaurant, the normal one was excellent.
Rooms in Main Hotel have more breeze and sea view. They are also closer to the main facilities

Try for pool view room. Some of the ground floor apartments at the rear of the complex didn't get any sun.

We visited Corralejo 14yrs ago when it was a large village, and loved its chilled out feel. Went back 3 yrs ago and it had changed and spread into a town, still it was not too bad.
Unfortunately this year when we went back the place has sprawled out with accommodation and complexes sprouting up everywhere, although most of the entertainment, restaurants, shops are still centred on the high street.
The reason we chose this resort was because we didn't want the tacky neon crassness of some resorts in the other Canaries, and enjoyed the unspoilt quality the island had but it would seem Corralejo is heading the way of the other islands.
The place is a bit of a building site with enourmous cranes, and building sites everywhere. Noise wasn't a problem, as very little work seemed to be going on (?), but check with your tour operator before you travel.
Having said all of this the beaches are still spectacular and harbour restaurants still offer good seafood, and we met people who said that Caleta De Fuste was great for families, others recommended a village called Cotillo.
We all look for different things in a holiday so if you want livley centre with plenty of bars/shops and complex based accommodation then Corralejo could be for you. If on the other hand you like to feel you like a taste of local life then forget this one and look for another place to stay.

Correllejo is a typical Canarian resort.
Excellent surf beaches if you walk or ride out of town to the dunes.
Lot of shops selling duty related goods.
Restaurants are various with quite a few Chinese and at least one exellent Italian. But with half board we did not visit any ourselves.
The pubs were a bit tacky but passable.
Good water park for youngsters and some nice little sandy beaches for the toddlers.
Also with a car ferry leaving every hour for Lanzarote there was the opportunity to visit there for the day.
Also other boat trips the the island of Lobos nearby.
More to do here than either Jandia or Caleta de Fuste.
Lots of new building going on everywhere, in 10 years it will be massive.

This is my fifth time to this resort I love it. It has a great atmosphere with plenty of restaurants and bars.
Its a great place for families.
The sand dunes are beautiful and well worth a walk out to.

Corralejo - friendly easygoing resort, wide selection of restaurants,
Special mention for Al Andaluz and across the street
Los Pepes, do book they seat only 20. Also Mirador al sur
best steaks you will find ever!!!!
The beach is a must take no 8 bus 1 euro, its vast and spotless.
All the usual pubs, sky sports everywhere.
Open air market Monday and Friday worth a look. Its a family type resort, few if any night clubs.

The resort is just what we wanted not too noisy and not too quite.
It is not a place for a 18/30 holiday.
There is even a bookmakers taking bets on english racing,a definate plus for me.
There is a variety of bars and restaurants not spread out all over the place like some resorts.
This is definately the place for me, we will be back in september 05.

The resort of Corralejo is a clean well kept resort.
We found plenty of bars and restaurants with competitive prices.
The people are friendly to us and there are plenty of Expats with bars.

Caleta is not a very large resort but has a very nice beach. The promenade has been extended now and you can walk along towards the golf course and they are constructing another man-made beach. In the other direction you can walk along the promenade to Neuvo Horizonte (now called Costa Antigua but definitely don't book a holiday there!)

Some good bars - Chablis on the main street and one of the British bars down a side street which did a Paly YOur cards Right type quiz every night
The beach in the main part of town isn't brilliant but if you can get down to the sand dunes they are beautiful
Take a trip across to Lanzarote - Puerto del carmen is a bit more lively

The resort is excellent all the buildings are low rise and it was very clean.
Go to the Rock cafe on the left as you get into town for some excellent live bands/artist also the Dubliners was great.
We went to the beach once but it was windy although you can hire wind breakers and there are some lovely restaurants along the beach.
I will definitely be coming back!!!!

Negative: The constant wind, it was rather cool and we ended up hiring a heater for a night. Take a jumper if you are going in Dec/Jan.
Positive: We stayed in Correlejo which is a nice quiet resort. You can catch the ferry to Lanzarote for a day trip. The ferry leaves several times a day. The harbour is a nice clean place with some nice eateries and places to sit.
There's quite a good selection of the usual perfumeries and souvenir shops, not to mention the restaurants and bars. There were also quite a few ' Netto' supermarkets for those of you who were self catering.
We hired a car for 2 days and took a day trip to Jandia which is in the south of the island. It took us most of the day to drive there and back!!! The beach was truly beautiful, but I felt that we didn't need to travel so far as the beach and sand dunes in Correlejo were really spectacular. Gorgeous white sand and crystal blue waters!!!
We took a trip to El Cotillo which is on the west of the island (pass La Oliva), they had the most shallow lagoons and beautiful beaches, ideal if you have small children. The lagoons were a 20 minute drive from our hotel which was perfect. We all loved it here so much that we spent the whole day there!!!
I loved Fuerteventura, beautiful beaches and a small friendly place.
