The resort of Morro Jable is a new modern resort with lots of hotels, bars, restaurants, a Thursday market and lots of supermarkets and tourist shops. It appears very clean and well cared for. The resort caters best for all types of holiday makers except for single groups. Although an hours car drive from the airport, the beaches here are easily the best on the island and it is sunnier and warmer at this endof the island. The beaches are outstanding with miles and miles of soft golden sands and beautiful turquoise seas. We regularly walked for at least an hour and back at waters edge. THe beach near to the hotel has a small nudist section which in no way is intrusive. The resort also has a lovely promenade next to the beach in excellent condition.

The resort of Jandia had quiet a lot of unfinished building work, the shops were very simular to other Canary islands. We did visit the old town of moro jablie which was only a very short distance fron Jandia town centre. This was well worth a look at, not as commercial as Jandia.

jandia is a very nice resort with lots of tourist shops a beach that is stunning, a bus service runs to all the hotels around the area and there is easy access. did not see much in the shape of entertainment but a few nice eateries. Now it does not say in the holiday brochures that 95% of all holiday makers are german, whilst that does not worry me as i find them very polite and willing to speak english ,it is a change to be away from english speakers and immerse yourself in different cultures for a while. if you are the sort who like to be around your own countrymen and natter this is not the place for you.

Jandia is a bit isolated unless you hire a car. To get anywhere on the bus takes ages. Other than a beautiful beach and a few tacky shops, theres nothing else there.

There is nothing at this "resort" - Just a couple of hotels. There is nothing around them - just barren landscape.
Beach is full of nudists. Not for the feint hearted

The hotel is out of the way and there is nothing but other hotels around it. Fine for us as we had all we wanted with the beautiful beach and the hotel complex. You can walk to Jandia along the beach, it takes about 45 minutes but obviously this is no good if you struggle with mobility.
We loved the remoteness of the location but if you want to get into Jandia, its one euro on the bus and about 5 euros for a taxi so hardly a big problem. Its also worth considering hiring a car so you can get out and about.
There is a beautiful beach called sotovento (I think) about 10 kms away. The beach itself is one of the nicest on the island, good long stretches of sandy beach with a few beach bars dotted along the way for well earned pit stops! the other day, I was sitting in the beach bar near Esquinzo, the sea was turquoise, the sun shining down with a man playing the guitar in the background. Heaven!

beach is the most beautiful & sea is clear, some areas have big waves where other areas are sheltered - lots of nudists so dont go if this offends you!
only a handfull of bars & shops but the pizza i had was lovely. would consider going to this resort for another relaxing holiday as nothing to do but swim & sunbathe but overall after talking to other tourists think i would have preffered to stop in the north where more british oriented.
