The resort is a good one!
Ive only given a 3 for entertainment as I was there with my parents and I felt if I went with my friends I wouldve enjoyed the evening entertainment a bit more.
The pubs, restaurants and shops were all in 'centres' which I wasnt used to really, but the best centre to go to if youre young is the Kasbah, and the circle opposite where Cream is.
The beach is gorgeous and the Maspalomas sand dunes are something else. There are also 2 aquaparks, I went to the same one twice. I loved it there!! Its fab!!
Its an all round resort, for families, couples and friends, and I will be returning in the future, most likely with boyfriend and friends!!

Fun and friendly resort with something for everyone, more bars than restaurants though.

The resort had some nice resturants but some real crappy ones as well.
The best thing about the holiday was the excursions, the weather and the beach. Thats it.
Airtours reps were ok although someone we know had booked an excursion and the bus didnt pick them up so they had to pay for a taxi to get to the boat on time and when they asked why it hadnt picked them up they got told "i am not prepared to help you" by the airtours rep!!!!
DONT BOTHER GOING.... YOU GET RIPPED OFF......!

It is five minutes walk one way to the beach from Biarritz Bungalows although when you reach the beach wall you've got a steep trek down a couple of hundred steps to reach beach level. Five minutes walk the other way is the Yumbo Centre, which is a great way to start a night out or spend the evening. Yes it may be the gay centre but the atmosphere is fantastic and no one should feel threatened if they are not gay, they certainly know how to party and the choice of bars is very varied to keep you hanging around for ages.
We then chose to head further up the road another 10 minutes stroll or so to the Kasbah. This is where you encounter the endless yellow jacketed Info people who want you to eat/drink in their establishment and try and plan your night out for you instead of yourself. To be honest, if you're laid back enough about it they shouldn't bother you, you know it's coming so just accept it and get used to saying no as they'll be on to the next victim before you've even finished saying no. And, if you visit a few times they get to know you and it all becomes very light-hearted and quite amusing.
Then there's the Gran Chaparel which is another 5 minute walk from the Kasbah and is classed as the British zone. A quality english restaurant there and some good pubs although as with many in Gran Canaria they are quite small apart from Wembleys which is more spacious but always packed as it has entertainment every night. The cheapest drinks we found in the whole resort were at a Scottish bar just around from Wembleys, they had various offers on every day and it is opposite a quite big Dutch Heiniken bar where their seems to be a 24 hour party going on every day.
All in all the bungalows are in the perfect location, 5 minutes walk to the beach, 5 minutes walk to the Yumbo Centre, 15 minutes walk to Kasbah and 20 minutes walk to the Gran Chaparel. These times are based on a leisurely stroll as well so the quicker walkers amongst you will be there in no time. As is standard in Gran Canaria there are taxis absolutely everywhere so if you don't fancy walking you'll be able to flag one down easily but why get a taxi when you rarely get the chance to enjoy a summer stroll to the bar like this.
One thing that did surprise us was how expensive it is. A lot of bar and restaurant owners were blaming the implementation of the Euro for the spiraling costs as folk we knew that had been previously had told us the food and drink would be cheap. After a first day blow out we calmed down and made it through the week with enough money but I'd advise anyone going to Playa Del Ingles to maybe take a few hundred quid more than you'd planned if you can.

This place is basically like Blackpool but hotter. One morning there was a big trail of blood from one side of the resort to the other - obviously someone had been beaten up and had wondered back to their hotel!!
Watch out for the african ladies putting friendship bracelets on your wrist by the beach too - they tie it on and then demand money for the pleasure.
The sales men in the Kasbar are really pushy and generally awful and one even chased my other half out the shop and told my other half to F off because he didn't want to buy the 11 euro binoculars, he wanted the 8 euro binoculars. You have to pay to use the toilets (by an old woman sat outside them), and I didn't even use them because there was no toilet paper!!!
Very disappointing - had heard lots of good things about Gran Canaria but found nothing nice here apart from the beach.

The resort was clean and had a small selection of all things i.e Shops , bars , restaurants and a very clean beach.
A very pleasant walk either way Right to the bars shops and night life ( Pat has arthritus ) but still a pleasant 15 min walk in the evening extremely pleasant shopping malls here also
To the left A very nice morning walk 20 / 30 mins across wooden walkways across the beach to further snack bars and hotels ( we did this every morning after a lazy ample breakfast )
Pat has rather serious Arthritus in all joints except spine and for the 2 weeks this area presented nothing but pleasant atmosphere and lovely casual strolls along the beach front there are a few steps but all are managable ( ok some we took our time with ) But nothing too serious

Very clean town and beach very hot sand. Not a great deal of watersports.
Be careful which side of the towns you go to in the night Yupi is more for the gay people.
Couldnt walk through the shops without people trying to drag you in, gets on your nerves.

Playa del Ingles - plenty to do, plenty to see, plenty to eat, plenty to drink, loads of bargains. Bit noisy in Commercial Centres at night. Excellent restaurants - but worth shopping around Tauro Negro bar in Kasbah excellent food and good value for money. Never had a poor meal but costs (but not quality) varied quite a bit.
