We have just returned from the Eden after a two week stay. This was our Ninth visit to the Eden. We were greeted by the familiar faces of the bar staff who made a big fuss of the kids and us and throughout the stay went to great lengths to help us enjoy ourselves. The evening entertainment (the acts) were brilliant (even though we had seen them on many occassions) but the one very big draw back was the so called D.J Stretch. He has to be the most arrogant man in the Canary Islands, He was often rude, always stuck to certain groups (ie single women and good Karoke singers) would strutt around as though everyone had gone to Gran Canaria just to see him.
He was very successful at ordering his new female assistant Vicky V around and would blame her for any problems that happened and the poor girl would just accept it.
We will not be booking another holiday at the Eden until such times as this boy trying to do a mans job is removed from the Eden and preferably the planet.
P.s
The other staff from the gardener to the top people at the Eden were absolutly fantastic and as soon as the little problem of the boy d.j is resolved we will be back.

We visited The eden in april 2004 it was brill and we will defanatly come again we went with our cosins mollie sophie our auntie and uncle mark and sharon and our family harry george lily mandy simon and me jess it was great the hotel was fab in the evening and in the day i was even better they have singers parrot shows reptile showws and more and even a bbq night that is on every sunday the staff are really freindly and there is always good help if you need it. there are 3 playareas 1 baby on e a kids one and a soft play for under 7s the kidzone was fab too they had a pool side quiz every day and a actibvity like scuba diving or fat arebiccs even water volleyball and polo the eden is fab

Eden apartments Puerto Rico Gran Canaria. We went s/c because we knew we'd be out and about most of the time. But to be honest the hotel food was really nice and we did eat there a few times. Pepe the chef and his oppo were very capable and put up very tasty meals of a good size.
Hotel pretty tidy, the guests could help a bit by not throwing things in the pool and cluttering up adjacent areas with rubbish. Only problem really was kids playing footie by tables with drinks, must admit our kid was one of them. Hotel rules should be enforced strictly before an accident happens,thats our one and only gripe.
Location petty good easy to get to shops,resteraunts, most things needed,always seemed to be a taxi available 3 mins to beach in taxi 2.70euros!
The hotel staff, namely Mitchell,Santiago,Diego,the asian guy,the blond waitress both whosenames we have forgotten,sorry guys were professional, brilliant,and charming. Then there is Johnathan what can we say about apart from crazy, scatty, funny and all round nice guy.Ian the dj did a stirling job keeping us entertained at the poolside and of an evening that guy works pretty hard to give us a good time, kudos to him! We are going back next year for sure. Jeff and Pam.

We went January 2005. The apartment was cleaned most days to a high standard with clean towels, bed made, bins emptied and tidied up.
All staff are excellent except one barman whom is down everytime barcelona lose. The location is in a great location except for the walk down to puerto rico.
The hotel is located at the top of a cliff near the busy europa complex which has only a couple if timeshare touts trying to bother you than the vast ammount in Peurto Rico itself which is good. Plus on the opposite side of the cliff is the best beach the Ammordores which has no timeshare touts and is best accessed from the Eden area of the cliff.
Also where the eden is located gets all the sunshine all day and never in shade as your at the top. Also its only a 3 euro taxi ride to Puerto rico centre or amadores beech or 1.80 euros on bus.
The hotel swimming pools is cleaned during the evening everyday and the bridge is safe and kids do not fall over as someone said above. Also the play area is good with one of the best soft surfaces I've seen, better than any i have seen in england and its well kept.
Also the entertainment is average butlins style holiday entertainment. The kids love the place so much that many were crying when saying bye to the reps as we got on the coach and recieved some gifts off the reps to cheer them up.
We went without the kids to have an holiday break away from them but we are booking up shortly and taking them. The eden apartments are also big with well equiped kitchen spacious bedrooms and patios with 2 sun loungers and a table with chairs.
Also tv has sky sports, sky movies and cartoon network but it costs 1 euro per hour via a meter but its a matter of choice. Also theres an internet cyber cafe area so if you need to use the net you can. Also theres a large supermarket within the complex.

Hi, me and my partner and mum and 3 kids went to the Eden in October 2003. It was a great hoilday, the kids loved it. My 6 year old loved the kids club. The staff was very friendly. The pool was very good for the kids and clean. Lots to do.
The food was good as well. The kids reps were fabulous. We were going again this year but we can't as I am to ill but we have booked for next year.
If you have kids this is the place to go. My kids were 6/2/1 so they were a handful but there is so much to do they never got bored.
Can't wait for next year.

We stayed in the eden and loved it! this was my husbands and kids first time abroad and we couldn't have picked better. So much so that my husband wouldn't book anywhere else but the Eden this year so we are returning in Sept again.
The apartments are clean and very comfortable. The food was lovely and doesn't break the bank. Hotel staff were wonderful and couldn't help enough.
The entertainment was brilliant for the children such as cicus acts, magic shows etc. Actually there was something on every night and we always stayed in the pool bar at night. The resident entertainers Jamie G and Vicky B were fantastic.
The kids club was fantastic and the only thing i would change would be to hold the two different age groups at the same time. The reason for this was my son aged 4 went in the morning and my daughter aged 6 went in the afternoon which stopped any plans we adults had for exploring the resort itself as the kids wouldn't miss it.
I would truely recommend Eden apartments especially for families it was excellent!!

Partner and I stayed at Eden Hotel. BBQ there fantastic well-cooked food, restaurant food very good. Close to the Europa Centre (5 minute walk) so plenty of restaurants to choose from if not eating at the Eden. Evening entertainment at hotel very good, but may not be for YFS types as it stopped around midnight - but lovely for us golden oldies and for young families.) Staff exceptionally helpful. Avoid the happy hour or risk missing your evening meal!! Too generous measures.

we have stayed at the eden apartments TWICE and are considering a THIRD trip this year, the entertainment is second to none and the food is very good and quite reasonably priced the staff are all fantastic, we found the cleanliness of this hotel did slip a bit the second year but we are all confident that the hotel has stepped this up again,,,,,,,, we look forward to seeing you all in OCTOBER and our daughter NICOLE is looking forward to seeing barman MARK again BYE FOR NOW

We visited the Eden in June 2002.The apartments are on the small side but very clean. The pool and childrens play areas are cleaned daily. Staff at the pool bar are very friendly especially with the children and are very efficient. Food from the pool bar is excellent and very reasonably priced. The new Amodoras Beach is beautifull and well worth a visit but wear trainers as the sand is gritty and sharp, a taxi ride there will cost no more than 3 euros. The Europa centre is a three minute walk away and has some great bars and loads of places to eat, for the kids there is trampolines, bouncy castles, crazy golf etc.
Overall we had a brilliant holiday and are already booked to stay at the Eden again next year.

Myself and my family went to the El Eden appartments for our annual holiday in May/June 2002. I have to say that i have heard some fairly negative opinions of Gran Canaria but they were all wrong. The hotel itself was always kept clean and the pool was reaaly well looked after. We ate in the complex's resturant a couple of times and the food was always excellent, the staff were always friendly and did what they could to help myself and my family. The entertainment was great, there was always something going on and i joined in a couple of games of water polo!!
we are returning to the hotel this year and hope it is still at the same standard as before
