Location
The food in our opinion was very good, better than some 4* hotels that we have stayed in. The restaurant staff kept the areas very clean and the food was regularly re-stocked so it was always hot.
Lee, the rep spent a lot of time at the hotel, maybe something to do with all the poor reviews that they have had, and some kind of manager wandered around the buffet pointing things out to staff, even though we felt it was all fine.
Main problem could be if the hotel was full the entertainment and restaurant are quite small and could struggle to cope.
Rooms were fine, bit dated but clean, nice to have a fridge, usually have to pay extra for one.
At the end of the day you get what you pay for and we were more than happy and would go again one day.

The rooms were basic but spacious, surprised that fridge and cooker worked as we were all inclusive, the room was kept clean, which was my main concern.
As for the food, edible, it meant we ate out more than expected, I usually sit for an hour when I go away normally, but 15 minutes and we were in and out.
The entertainment was typical holiday entertainment, not great not rubbish, but it was enjoyable
It wasn't the greatest position to be situated as far as the hotel was concerned, but it wasn't far from the centre, a nice stroll to the front and the centre.
At the end of the day I got what I paid for, I was more than happy with what I got, like I said the food was all I was disappointed in.
Would I go back? I wouldn't rush back, but yes I would return at some point in the future for a cheap holiday.

The hotel reception were quite helpful especially when my partner was ill with bronchitus. But...although the pool was clean and looked after, it was freezing.
We found a cockroach roaming about out room together with some other small creepy crawlies.
The food was appalling. It was buffet style and left standing on heat trays, consequently if you didn't want to eat at 1.30pm or 7pm you got tepid food..not healthy by any standards.
The choice was limited, very few vegetables, lots of plain pasta and chips (soggy ones).
I suppose the standard is dictated by the price, in which case I will save harder and pay another

The rooms were of a good size, and were cleaned regularly, although the sheets were only changed once in 2 weeks. the pool area was immaculate! and watching the daily fight for sunbeds was very funny.
The food was ok, nothing fantastic a bit repetitive.
The staff were polite.
The entertainment was available during the day (water polo, darts, football, bingo etc) and on an evening there was a less than inspiring kids disco and the main event started between 10pm and 10.30pm. As we had small children and the music was very loud this became annoying as it often carried on until after midnight.
To sum up we thought the hotel was geared towards the older family!

On arrival reception staff were friendly told us all about the hotel then gave us our all inclusive wrist bands. We were on the 3rd floor kills you with all your suitcases.
On entering our room we were pleased very clean, lovely view of pool area and sea, exactly what we asked for. You have a cooker, fridge all you need. You have to hire the lead for the kettle we didn

Everyone enjoyed the food (even something for the fussiest in the group).Sometimes had to queue for tables but not for too long.
Hotel cleanliness excellent.
Pool was cleanest I've seen.
Pool cleaner was very hardworking.
Location was a bit far from beach but didn't need to go there as too much going on by pool.
Shops,a few bars aquarium and mini golf in walking distance.
Reception and cleaning staff very helpful.
John and lynn excellent fun. If you join in everything you' ll never be bored!
Kids club not on site a good 5min walk. Wild west night ,reps charity night and Wacky Wednesday were fantastic fun.
The race for sunbeds got earlier and earlier. Some people starting to queue at 7.30 even though they weren't unchained until 9.00.
Would definitely go back there as excellent value for money and had something for all our group.

The rooms were cleaned 5 times a week with clean linen twice a week and maids were very polite at all times. On a all inclusive would have expected to have kettle, fan(as no air con)and TV included in price and not have to pay to hire/use.
The Restaurant/Bar staff were excellent and good fun also. The biggest complaint would be the food as on themed evenings no edible alternative in hot food was available just salad and chips(as there was mid morning lunch mid afternoon and yes evening meal too)If you like chips you were catered for.. However large English breakfast in the morning saw us through. But had to eat out on a number of occasion in the evenings which on all inclusive you should not have to do.
Entertainemnt... Lyn & John 10**********
from morning to night Lyn & John worked their socks off
Quizzes round the pool, Killer Darts, Play your Cards right, French Boulles, Killer Pool, Football at Ultrabol
both kids and Adults, Water Polo(won my superstar T-shirt as did Catherine)) Water volleyball Water Aerobics Pool Party Bingo by the pool. Then in Evenings Kids disco, Not the 9 O'Clock news Cash prize bingo and then main shows where again they both excelled and the end of every night the main complex song was played and what a cracker it is
HOLD YA HEAD (Shake it up Shake it up) nobody was allowed to stay seated and what an absolute gas it was. Lyn John you made our holiday and a personal mention for Jessica Andrea Paki & Mauricio
It was just a shame the food was not half as good as the staff and entertainment crew
Thanks

The entire site is about as big as the foyer in a decent complex. The pool is too small with smelly slimy water and the "activities" would have the cast of Hi-De-Hi blushing.
Don't go, forget to take your passport to the airport, get on the wrong coach at Arrecife, don't get off the coach at the "Freakus Apartments", go back to the airport and beg for a flight home.
Sleep in the gutter for a fortnight-it will be cleaner. You can eat the stray animals that lurk around the Freakus, they certainly look tastier than the cack served in the "restaurant".
The place would be vastly improved if someone dug a very deep hole and dropped the whole bloody lot down it.
If you do go, be sure to travel around the island looking at how much nicer ever other hotel and apartment complex is compared to yours.
You have been warned.

The rooms were huge they had a seperate bedroom and them a living area with a kitchen and dining table in.
The Rooms were cleaned 5 times a week and all staff really friendly.
The food was really nice quite allot of choice (soups were gorgeous) I was really surprised to see they had coca cola as well thought it would have been the a cheapo version.
Pool was really nice the cleaner was out cleaning it everyday.
John and lynn were great entertainers. Joined in evernight for the bingo. (even won 100 euros) and loved charity night where all the reps got together from around the resort and put on a show. It was great!!!!
I would reccomened this hotel to anyone. Had such a fab time. Wish i was still there.
Enjoy your holiday

Apartments are really clean and very spacious, maid service 5 times a week as per brochure.
Pool very cold but you do get used to it, and it is cleaned every day apart from Sunday.
You don't have to get up at the crack of dawn for a sunbed either as there are plenty to spare.
Hotel location was fine, only a couple of minutes walk into Costa Teguise and 10 minute walk to lovely beach.
Hotel staff work really hard and are very friendly.
John & Lynne do a fab job and keep everyone entertained and they work really hard. Poolside quiz, killer darts, killer pool, games in the pool etc. We heard complaints that there wasn't a lot to do for kids, out daughter wasn't bored once and loved the pool area. Mini disco for kids is great as is "more tea vicar", Hold Your Head song really catchy, you end up singing it all the time. It doesn't state that there is a kids club in the brochure, if that is what you want then don't come to the Ficus.
After reading reviews before we went away we were a bit worried but needn't have been. Everthing was spot on and we would definitely go back. Please judge for yourself and don't be put off by the reports that you read.
