We have just returned from a two week stay at the loz zocos it was a lot better than I expected after reading the reviews I was in block three and found it very clean and tidy, the maids cleaned the room and changed the towells every other day, and I did not see one insect in the two weeks.
The only thing wrong with the holiday was the weather and the entertainment in the hotel it was very good for the children but not verygood for older people, the food was very good plenty of choice.

We stayed in block three. The actual apartment were clean but the public areas could have been a little tidier. Sheets, towels were left in corridors all day, cement was coming off the walls. Minor repairs needed to be completed.
Could not complain about the food it was varied and plentiful. There were micro-waves available if it was not hot enough.
Location could only have been bettered if it had been on the beach.
The entertainment was totally focused on children. There was no entertainment for adults which meant that we did not use the bar at night as much as we would have.

We booked this holiday for xmas and were extremely disappointed.
On arrival we had to wade through puddles and when entering the room found it was damp, dirty, tired decor and we even found underwear from the previous occupants!!
The bathroom drain smelt, the tiles were broken and whenever we used the shower everything including the towels and toilet rolls were damp afterwards.
Our ground floor apartment balcony was flooded and never cleaned throughout our stay and never got any sun on it. The maids cleaning to say the least was basic, towels were not changed too regular and the bed linen was only changed once in the week.
The complex had pools that were relatively tidy but were always too cold to get into.
We never ate at the complex so could not comment on the food but found several reasonable restaurants nearby. A shopping mall with shops and reastaurant was just over the road.
The entertainment team did try their best but I am sorry to say that the bar was very much like a working mens club.
I would not recommend this complex to anybody in fact I would advise them to look elsewhere.

We stayed in Los Zocos middle of November. We were looking forward to our allocation on arrival 3* hotel-what a disappointment!
We were in the first block on the ground floor 2 bed self catering apartment. I suppose the best description to give our room was very tired,and looked like it had never been decorated or updated since it was built 20 years ago!th whole apartment smelt of sewage so we had to have the window in the barhroom and the patio door open all of the time we were in which wasn't easy with a force 9 gale.the bath had water stains in it and some strange electical item on the wall above the bath we which dare not touch.
The bedrooms smelt musty and we had a cockroach famoly in the cupboards and under the frige.the walls need some paint and the carpet replacing-however on a good point-the claeaners came and did there best 5 out of the 7 days we were there and chanded the bed linen twice and were always friendly and polite given the circunstance.
Our apartment was south facing so when the sun came out it was hot all day made up for the pink cadilac in the scrapyard on the doorstep!kids club kept our 5 year old entertained everyday which was good but the First Choice reps-what do they do except look miserable and try and push expensive trips and we even had time shere offered to us in the welcome meeting in the hotel.
Would we go again? only if we were in block 3 and even our suitcase had a better room than we slept in for a week. We felt the resort was okay, Blue Moon bar happy hour 1pm till 7pm 1 euro 50 for a large beer made up for things-and the food available in the square was value for money.
We would visit this resort again but didn't feel we got value for money compared to other First Choice holidays we have taken in the last 3 years.

This has been our 4th year at these apartments. Requested block two this time as the balconies are a lot bigger and they get the sun from am to pm. Block three is in the shade from early afternoon. Apartments are basic and the landings and balconies could do with a lick of paint, but in two weeks saw no insects at all. Staff cleaned very well and we always had clean bedding and towels.
Used the pool between blocks two and three much quieter and plenty of sunbeds available, though a little chilly for most people!!
The hotel does offer all inclusive after you've arrived approx 72e adult 33e child for three days.
Entertainment is ok if you've nothing else planned,we only went in once.
Excellent location a good selection of bars and restaurants over the road.
Remember this is a three key hotel, and you get what you pay for. Looking forward to next year!!

Booked this hotel last minute after finding a good deal on the Net.The Apartments are spacious and have a full cooker.
We were All Inclusive , but it's nice to know there is a back up if you don't like the food. Saying that I am a fussy eater but found the food excellent. Wow! the first spanish hotel I have ever been that served proper back bacon for breakfast.
There was also a good selection on offer every night. The area is flat and very near the beach and shops. The worst thing about the hotel from our point was the entertainment.
Though the Animacion team worked hard, there was very little proffessional acts. The main entertaiment consisted of the team miming to various shows soundtracks, such as cabaret, grease etc.
Saying that overall we had a good time and I would go back, but not too soon. Probably a better place for families with kids than couples. Oh! and by the way the tropical storm we endured one night ,will probably not happen again... too soon.

Went to Los Zocos as a result of tour company pulling the flights to egypt for Sharm el Sheikh. The flight was okay got our room, there were 6 of us 3 for a week the others for two weeks so we shared as appropriate. I went for two and we went to the room we were allocated, which smelt really bad of urine.
Reported it back to reception who sent someone to fix the problem, which consisted of a maid spraying air freshener over the smell. We got a new room which was fine. On the ground floor.
The food was lovely, bit repetative and sometimes cold. The sausages in a morning were loverly just like at home. The entertainment was very Butlinish. The bar staff were very ignorant unless you were male. Had a run in with one girl who insisted banging the bottles on the bar and scowling.
The food in the snack bar is only a cold buffet. A couple of the girls in the snack bar were horrible. One of my party had a reaction to a mosquito bite and ended up going to the doctors and getting two injections and a bill of 300 euros. After getting her second injection we came back to the snack bar and as she felt very weak went to get a drink of water and was told as she had no card she couldnt have one so I went to get her one on my card and was told I could have it and not my friend. My friend was in tears but got no satisfaction. I had murder and reported their conduct to the reps and as everyone knows probably nothing was done about it.
On the whole this hotel was very basic and really needed a good overall. Would i go back again, never. Would I recommend it, No. As my friend is a travel agent she wont be recommending it either. I have been to Costa Teguise three times before going here and I always go AI. This was the worst place i have ever been to.
Go at your own risk, but given a choice dont go.

This was our second visit to Los Zocos. The room was basic but clean and the maid service was very good. Our only dissapointment of the holiday was that the food was not as good as our previous visit.
The hotel staff were always helpful and eager to assist.What made our stay so very special was the members of the Animation Team, all of them were just wonderful and our two young children loved all six of them.
The overall amount of work they all did to ensure everyone had a great time was simply fantastic. All of my family wish to say a big thankyou for making our holiday a success.
A word of caution check cost of local buses to Teguise Market much cheaper than First Choice excursions price ( quite a ripoff ).
The hotel staff were always helpful and eager to assist.What made our stay so very special was the members of the Animation Team, all of them were just wonderful and our two young children loved all six of them.

After a long journey we had to wait for our all inclusive cards to be made with our photos on. I did request 3 rooms in block 3 which was granted. I was pleasantly suprised but there was not enough beds. my two youngest ended up top and tailing.
I got food poisoning on the first day and was admitted to hospital and was not let out until it was time to fly home. The rest of the party carried on as best they could with my sister in law looking after my 4 kids and her 4 kids!
They said the El Boulevard was the best place to eat and you have to book one night in advance. The waterpark was the best day out.
The restaurant is very strict on taking tea bags etc for your room.

We stayed for 7 nights at Los Zocos.
We found the food fantastic, with plenty of choice, even for a fussy vegetarian and 2 small children!
Our rooms were in block 3, which is what we asked for before we went via email. Our rooms were clean, well equipped, and in a great position with views over the pool 2. We made a short visit to block 2 and we quite taken aback by it having brown carpets on the floor.
The staff were very friendly, and our made service was every day apart from Saturday and she always tidied the room to a high standard.
The only thing we didn't like about the hotel was the entertainment as it was very "Butlins".
The bar next door was very very nice, it was called El boulevard and all of our All inclusive options were used here also, it provided more adult entertainment such as a vocalist and harp players etc.
The First Choice reps are a little...erm..rude? We booked 7 adults and 2 small children to travel on the grand island tour and we paid in full with proof of our booking on a receipt but when we turned up for the bus we were told there was no room for us as we were not booked on, even though we had the proof? When we asked the rep for advice we were simply told the tour company were at fault and not them and were told to "chill out and have a drink on us!!" after giving us 3 bottles of wine..not mush use on an all inclusive holiday!!!
Our recommendation is a company called Last minute tours who did take us on the island tour and we had an absolutely fantastic day with them, they were so very organised!! but all in all we had a fantastic holiday!
