Location
The grounds are well kept and the location is central and very close to the beach.
Noise reduction between apartments seems to have been completely overlooked so be prepared for sharing your neighbours holiday!

Nearly everyone on our bus were staying at this complex and check-in went very fast and smoothe. The location was brilliant we were in the middle of all shops bars and plenty of restaurant.
Plenty of entertainment to keep everyone happy.Appartments were kept clean and tidy with regular maid service.
We were in block 3 and were told that these were the new blocks.
Only down side I can tell you about our hoilday is the noise we had when the people above us were leaving at 4.30am but I would definitely stay at this resort and complex again.

We went all inclusive and the food was wonderful. There was plenty of choice which was different every night and was all very well cooked.
All the staff were always friendly and helpful, the only problems we had were with the entertainment. It is ok if you have kids between about 3 and 10. They do the kids dancing then there is some sort of entertainment which didn't start until 9.30 which was a little too late for us as we had a 1 year old who was getting tired by then. So really shows should be a little earlier.
Our room was ok, nothing special but nothing to complain about. I did hear of some people who had bad rooms but when they complained they were re located straight away!
The only thing to complain about really was the weather and thats out of everyones hands, with having a 1 and a half year old and a 15 year old we did a bit bored.

The apartment was clean and comfortable. We had no complaints at all.
The food was excellent and varied we ate something different every evening and as we were all inclusive the afternoon menu was good too.The entertainment was good, I must say that the animation team work very hard and deserve recognition. They were very friendly people.
We really enjoyed the shows that they put on in the Boulevard on the Wednesday evening and as it was our last night it made it really memorable.
And finally I must say that the restaraunt staff were really efficient, both in the Mirador and the Boulevard. Well done to all. We will definately be returning.
Thank you all at the Los Zocos.

We used it for a base only but still had to spray it with air freshener every time we returned. The pool we were told would be out of action untill the 5 3 06 we left on the 9 3 06 still no pool just the smell of paint from the work.
We were also not told of the building work that was being carried out on the end of our block and is set to continue for some time yet. My advise would be don't go.

The best thing about Los Zocos is its location. Only 2 minutes away from the nearest supermarket, bars, restaurants and best of all for us, the beach.
Once you cross the road opposite the hotel, that whole end of the resort is pedestrianised, which with a 5 and 7 year old, was a blessing. The kids could run free, we had complete peace of mind and there were no scooters and mad taxi drivers to contend with.
The beach is clean, and if get yourself a spot by the wall and you'll be amazed how you avoid the breeze.
In terms of the hotel entertainment, our experience of it led us to avoid it like the plague. The one night we did venture in there was Musical Quiz Night and left us in stitches, more from how bad it was that anything else. The entertainment guys work so hard, so I hate doing them an injustice but it's not up to much.
Fear not though, simply cross the road and there's plenty on offer. Bar Colombus offered excellent value and simple snacks, and Robinsons makes a mean cocktail. There's also a lovely Indian restaurant at the other end of the promenade tucked in just off the main road.
I'm sure this resort won't be to everyone's tastes, but as a busy young family who wanted to simply relax and spend time together, this resort and Los Zocos was ideal.
We'll be back again next year.

Requested block 3 and got it! Apartments very basic but clean..
Food was basic in the main restaurant, but what a lovely surprise that the all inclusive card can be used in the big restaurant next door - which serves, carvery, Chinese
buffet... (the food at the big restaurant was great!) If it was just hotel restaurant would of been a different story.
Entertainment very poor just ran by entertainment team even though they tried their best some professional acts would be welcoming. We went out most nights, or again entertainment was better in restaurant next door (need to reserve a table, so do it daily ) and it's worth checking this is still the case re the restaurants before you book!
I would come here again for a cheap week. Its good
you get what you pay for!
Location fantastic, over road from beach, near to shops , bars restaurants.

The rooms were really dirty and smelt musty we even had cockroaches in the bedroom.
The bathroom needed updating as things were falling off the walls and the balcony was never cleaned so you could not sit outside.
The entertainment was the worse Ive ever seen but at least the food was fine, ten out of ten for that but I would definatley say I would never go there again and would not recommend it to anyone especially families with young children.

First thing to say is that if you're going try and get an apartment in block 3 which is the new block. Yes they are in shade a bit but they are newer blocks, where as blocks 1 and 2 are old blocks and looked a bit shabby.
The walls and floors seemed to be very thin so you could here what people were up to several apartments away. Unfortunately we had a party of 6th formers staying below us for a few nights who came in at all hours in the morning making loads of noise. But then again that's not the apartments fault.
The cleanliness and general repair of the apartment block wasn't always the best with a few loose tiles here and there and rubbish bags and old sheets left in hallways for too long. Room cleanliness was adequate, although the balcony furniture was pretty dirty. Can't comment on the older blocks.
The location is ideal being only a 5 minute walk tops to the restaurants and beach in Costa Teguise and 2 mins to a couple of supermarkets.
The food on site is average at best as it mostly caters to the 'chips with everything' crowd mostly, but then again that's what a lot of people seem to want anyway. Having said that the buffet was OK for the odd meal and you could get a decent salad.
I wouldn't go all inclusive as of course after a week the food will be repetitive, it's mass catering for brits abroad so what do you expect. Go self-catering as other restaurants are very close. For those of you who can't cope with anything more foreign than a curry there's also an English Roast Dinner restaurant in Costa Teguise which seemed rather busy every night.
I found the staff quite nice if you try a bit of Spanish with them and be polite. Must admit I was embarrassed by the attitude of some Brit Holiday makers who seemed to take it an insult that the local hotel staff didn't speak perfect English but then couldn't even manage to say thank you, hello or beer in Spanish.
Didn't use the entertainment so couldn't comment on that.
Also was quite amused by the woman from a sun cream company who every day came by the pool and made hugely exaggerated claims on how hot it was to try and sell more of her sun care products. One day she claimed it was 32 degrees when it was nearer 20.
As we went in December there were plenty of sun beds available so no problems there.

Loved the Columbus Bar in Costa Teguise, really nice staff and Karaoke team Julie and Nick brilliant!!
Really enjoyed the holiday for a late deal can't complain, loved the volcano excursion very amazing, recommend it! Don't bother with Rancho Texas unless you want to be bored, we went NY Eve and found Rancho poor compared to Sioux City in Gran Canaria.
Would go again but thinking of going to Tenerife next year maybe.
