Location
Restaurant okay - we all found something each night to eat although second week did get a bit repetitive but that's only to be expected.
Location of the hotel is excellent, right on the beach and near to hand to the pubs and restaurants in the resort.
Must give mention to Stanley and Laia the entertainers. Enjoyed most nights except the magic show and the parrot show. Good crowd of people on the whole.
Noticed that some people tried to book for 2006 - you can't as the hotel are only taking German guests next year. All I can say is that there needs to be some major refurbishments in that case!

Anyway, the hotel was clean enough and we had staff in our rooms every day to clean it and do the beds. They even did our son's cot all nice with his own blanket that we'd brought with us and put his teddy in the corner ready for bed time.
The food was very nice for the first few days but then got a bit repetitive. I quite liked all the food but my Fiance felt like all we were doing was waiting for the next mealtime before we did anything else (not forgetting that we also had a 1 year old son who wouldn't sleep in his buggy but still wanted a 2 1/2 hour nap in his cot in the afternoon!!!).
I got quite hooked on the Hake Goujons which were part of the 'snacks' and the baby liked the 'potato balls'.
I think that if you're quite fussy or won't try any foreign food then you wouldn't like most of the food on offer, so if you're the type who wants egg and chips while you're on holiday then you should stay in Britain!
There's been a couple of comments about the microwaves in the dining hall but we noticed that they were only being used to either heat up baby food or to melt the grated cheese that all the kids seem to like putting on top of their chips and not because the food was 'cold' and I can't say that we noticed anything being cold either!
Oh, and the chocolate dessert and peach dessert were gorgeous and I could live on them!!
The hotel location was great. Just right for doing a small amount of shopping (can't stand going around shops while on holiday but my Mum wanted to have a look!). We also hired a car for our second week and found that we were nicely central on the Island to be able to get to all the places of interest within a very short time.
When we did get to sit by the pool (which because of the high winds wasn't very often) the views were great. We could even see the ships going in and out of the port.
We moved rooms 3 times (1st was on ground floor so Mum thought baby could wander off from veranda, 2nd wasn't in the sun at all, 3rd was in the sun but on 2nd floor!) so by the time we settled we were on our 4th day. The view from our final room was excellent. We could see right over to the port so we could still see the ships. We also overlooked the the round pool which tended to not have many kids in so wasn't too noisy. At the back we overlooked the tennis courts/football pitch but even though we were within ear shot of the Irish Bar we couldn't hear anything after 2am and it never woke the baby even though we had the window open!
The hotel staff.... well what can we say! Stanley and Laia are truly wonderful and keep the entertainment going as much as they can even though they don't have decent equipment to work with. We joined in with as much as we could and won quite a few certificates! God knows how since the archery equipment is the worse we've ever seen, the pool cues had no tips, the table tennis table was wonkey and the PA, lights and stage for the night time were awful! But Stanley and Laia should have got medals for their constant smiles and cheeriness to everybody in everything that they did.
We wished we hadn't bothered watching the Parrot Show, it's rubbish and they spend the first 45 minutes just going around taking photo's of you with the parrot's. We didn't see the Snake Show we had to suffer the parrot's again but if they're as bad as the parrot's then I'd suggest going out to a bar for the night.
All the staff seemed to fall in love with our little boy so we found them to be wonderful people (especially Judith, Sonja & Maria). Very friendly and happy to help. Basically, if you don't ask then you don't get, so if you wanted you're towels changing you only had to ask.
We were usually in our room when the maids came round and they always brushed and mopped the whole apartment, changed the towels and made the beds. Very hard working so some of the criticism is unfair.
Other than Stanley and Laia I'd have to say that everybody's favourite was Braheim. He would serve people in the bar from afternoon till nightime and always with a smile. Our boy loved him and would always have a big smile when he saw him, plus I think all the girls fancied him like mad!!!
So basically if you want a 4 star hotel then don't book this one! This is a 2 star hotel and that's what you get, but at least it's clean, pleasant and has nice staff.
We wouldn't go here again but then we don't go back to any hotel twice but what we would do if we were ever back in the area is to call in and say 'hello' because that's how nice the people were.

The hotel was kept very clean our room was cleaned nearly every day along with the bedding changed and the towels.
The pool was cleaned every morning.
The hotels downfall has to be the food it wasnt fantastic but it was edible although it did get better as we went into our 2nd week.
It would be nice to have some different snacks for the children.
The hotel location well what can you say you are near all the shops and you are a couple of minutes away from the beach.
The hotel staff from the receptionist to the cleaners to the maintance men along with the jmc reps were very friendly and always had time for our 2 young children.
The entertainment was a good laugh..the children had fun with the JMC reps but I think Stanley and Liah were brill they had us all joining in and making fools of ourselves always a smile on their faces and loved the children..they even had us dancing in the kids disco..but if you cant make a fool of yourself on holiday when can you...
would we visit this hotel again most definatly
we are just waiting to see if jmc get the contract for the hotel and we will be going back next year ...hopefully

Don't expect a 4 star Hotel because it isn't but, what it is, is a very good 2 star.
The food was excellent, if you are a fussy eaters then you might be dissapointed but we are not.
The Hotel staff are very friendly and it was very clean. The toilets are as clean as any 4 star.
The rooms are very spacious because of it being a self catering complex before.
Stanley and Laia are great and they work really hard to entertain every one

We had a great time the rooms were clean maybe could do with a bit of an updating but for how long you are in the rooms it didnt matter.
The food was ok there was always something you could eat.
The staff were very friendly and the evening entertainment was great for the kids. Leya and Stanley are brilliant to keep kids amused.
Would go back again- great holiday!

There were two lovely pools, good for cooling down with the wonderful sunshine you get there. The bar was open by the main pool all day as far as i saw and shut at around midnight. Drinks were available at all times in the restaurant and by the round pool. Which is very good as you get thirsty in the heat alot.
The food was very good, plenty of choice at breakfast from cereal to full breakfast. Lunch was our favourite, always lovely and varied. Something for everyone. Dinner was also good but it was nice to eat out some nights as this didnt always have foods that went together well, edible though!!
As for the reps, for us thomas cook/jmc, they were a great help. Always willing to help and easy to get on with.
Kids entertainment went on all day by the looks of it, the kids staff looked great with the kids. Night entertainment werent great when we went but normal organisers who are reported to be very good were on there hols.
Overall i would definately go back there as it was such a friendly place. Recommended for families as there are not loads of rowdy teens, however weare only 20 and we wanted a peaceful holiday and we got this, but we could also have sayed up late if we had of wanted as there is pleanty to do a small walk away.

The hotel was clean and the apartments which were on the second floor were spacious but in need of updating. They were cleaned every other day and bed sheets changed twice in two weeks,no sight of any cockroaches inside, the pools were cleaned twice a day and the staff were always ready to give a smile.
Stanley and Laia were fantastic, their theme nights were great, they made everyone laugh and made sure they knew all of the quests names, the personal touch was fab.
The kidsworld staff were out of this world, especially Donna, DJ and Vicky, the children were sad to leave them as we were also, the kids had such a great time we felt we were intruding on their holiday, JMC rep Laura was great and helpful.

We had been to Costa teguise before several times, w therefore decided to bring our little boy on his first foreign holiday to the Punta Jablillo.
Good points.
1. Rooms were good, no cockroaches!!, cleaned often along with fresh towels.
2. Entertainment in the evening was for the entire family but leading towards kids (a blessing for us)
3. Staff were very friendly and spent time to talk to us.
4. Pools were excellent, checked and maintained often, (the round pool was by far the warmest!)
5. Even though my son was to young to go to kids club the reps took time to talk to him and made his day.
6. The 2 entertainment reps Stanley and Laia? were superb, an excellent range of family activities throughout the day, Shooting, boule, Sjoelen, 5 a-side, water polo, water bingo, bingo, competitions, pool, evening entertainments plus more, both of them had energy in buckets and were sociable and easy to get on with, kids and adults alike were impressed.
7. Local drinks were good.
8. Food was plentiful.
9. Holiday reps were good, joined in the entertainments and were knowledgable and polite.
Bad points.
1. There were no real allowances for vegetarians in the menu other than pasta and salads. (i like salad though, so no worries for me)
2. Some of the food was not as hot as we would have liked.
3. There were no facilities to wash your clothes.
4. The showers were never truely hot, luke warm at best (get your showers in early!!)
5. The reception needed sprucing up, the chairs were threadbare, pool table was amazing?, ping pong table was bent on one side (now thats why i lost in the semi-final!!)
Neither here nor there points.
1. Someone on this site commented on food being re-used, ie pork one day, stew the next, this is very common in ALL the fully inclusive accommadation we have ever been on, and we wern't suprised or upset (we don't touch reused chicken though, but, they never did it)
2. It was a 2 star hotel, therefore you get 2 star facilities (so don't moan if you don't)
All in all we gave the hotel around 80 to 85%, we would use it again if we were coming back to Lanzarote.

I would like to start by saying, if you want 5 star hotels.....pay for them!!
This hotel is excellent value for money. It is very clean. The location is excellent, as are the staff.
Yes, the food could be better but, for the money you pay, I would consider it to be more than sufficient.
Whilst there we heard lots of other people complaining, and I have to say that most of the complaints were 'winges'.
We stayed for 1 week at the beginning of June and enjoyed it so much that we booked another week as soon as we got home, if we could afford it, we would definatley be going back this year.
Finally, I have to mention Stanley and Laia. They are the best in hotel entertainment team I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. They work so hard to keep you entertained, and do a fantastic job of it.
The Thomas Cook/JMC side of things were not so hot, but luckily we didn't really need them for anything as the hotel reception were more than capable of sorting out any problems!!
If you have been to this hotel and not enjoyed it, try paying

On arrival we found the reception staff extremely helpful and at first glance the place looked very dated. The rooms were very clean but again dated and you had to pay to rent a kettle or a toaster. The food was good but repetetive. We had no incidents of tummy upsets in our party.
If your expecting 5 star then don't go. Its a simple resort with simple food and drink. The beach is very close and I would recommend the sun seekers cruise - a great day out. Laia nad Stanley, the kids entertainers were brilliant and the kids really enjoyed the dancing.
A very relaxing resort with cheap restaurants near if you do fancy a change.
