The hotel has a wonderful location in the middle of las americas and fanbe areas. There are 2 pools and one thats right on the edge of the sea with fantastic views. The only problem I had with the pool area was the breeze that would blow in from the sea, it could make it feel chilly if the sun went in. They need wind breaks.
The hotel was very clean but the maid service in the rooms was not upto standard and we had a few compliants with towels not being changed and sheets not changed.
The staff were always polite and would apologise straight away for problems you may of had.
The food is of a high standard with a good choice at breakfast and dinner. The only thing I didn't like about the food was the meat dishes were mainly grilled and roasts with hardly any meat dishes in a sauce. How much grilled and roast meat can you stand, 3 days was enough for me. There was pasta, salads, fish and 2 grilled meats and a roast meat. The childrens selection was very poor.
The entertainment was very good with 5 professional a week and the entertainment staffs own shows were not bad on the other 2 days. Drinks are not cheap and a barcardi and coke and martini and lemonade cost

My wife, Marie, my youngest son (Christopher) and I had been to this hotel only last year. This time, we bought our eldest son(James) with us. We booked two rooms, to give the boys some 'breathing space'.We all used to holiday on a self catering basis, but this time we all agreed this was a much better option, as the two boys could eat as much as they pleased.
The hotel is very clean, but could do with a 'make-over' in certain areas, especially the bedrooms. They do look a bit 'tired' and a fresh coat of paint and furnishings wouldn't hurt. The function room / bar areas could do with air conditioning, as it was very uncomfortable on one or two nights.
The choice of food was excellent. We couldn't fault it, especially Christopher. He specifically liked chips with melon for his main meal!?

Agree with all of the reviews we have read.
Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful (especially the kids club staff).
The pool area was a bit cramped (down at 5:30 with the towels!!), and pool is in need of a makeover, though this is being done in Jan/Feb of next year.
Breakfasts were awesome!! Dinner was ok, but sometimes only lukewarm.
The hotel has a great location, close, but not too close to amenities (bars shops, beach etc).

This hotel has excellent stanards, however at the moment the hotel is looking a bit dated however they are renovating it during the winter, it is still a nice looking hotel its just got 80's decor
The rooms were always cleaned very well every day. The food was brilliant for the adults, great selection of food and all the food is very nice. However there isn't much choice for young children
The location of the hotel was good, close to the beach. It was in a quieter part of Playa de las Americas there was still some bars and shopping centres but not as many as the main part of Playa d las Americas (near veronicas strip)
The entertainment at the hotel was good, whilst we stayed there, there was a 1 hour show from some professionals and before and after the proffessionals show there was a singer (not very good singers but there was a different one every night)
The staff were excellent they all spoke good english, even the cleaners ! they always had a smile of their faces. The entertainment staff during the day were quite annoying when they're trying to get you to participate in activities but i suppose thats their job

The hotel was good not a four star more a 3 plus.
The food was excellent lots of choice, the staff were very friendly and most helpful.
The entertainment team worked very hard indeed always wanting you to get involved. The only fault I could have on this hotel is the lack of air conditioning in the entertainment area, the rooms have it but nowhere else has.
The pool area was busy and said no reserving beds but you had to do as everyone else did but it meant getting up at 6.45 each morning to get one - a nightmare.
I would return here but would like these points to be acted upon.

Excellent Hotel, the food was fantastic - massive choice for breakfast & dinner. Room was spacious & very clean on the 8th floor, so had a superb sea view.
Staff are very friendly & helpful. Pool areas were very busy, but, it was July peak season. I would have no hesitation recommending this hotel - fantastic value for money, well worth a visit.

The room was kept clean and teh towels were changed as often as you wanted.
Not sure the corridors were kept as clean. Spotted a rare cockroach in the hotel and squashed it. It was still there 4 days later.
Hotel food had a good choice but after a few days it became a bit repetitive, not much choice for kids specifically, pizza and chips.
The hotel entertainers very friendly and had bags of energy, constantly trying to get people to join in. Thought they were excellent particyularly with the kids.
Nice touch with champagne on arrival also a few freebies around the pool with sweets, punch and fruit dished out.

Not long got back from the Bouganville playa, had an excellent 2 weeks there, stopped with family....9 of us altogether and I can safely say not one person had a bad experience at all from this hotel.
The Hotel itself was very clean, the food was worth tucking into, different selection every day, the Entertainment was top class, Thanks to Sergio and co.
The Miniclub was great for the kids as well, Andy and friends made sure of that, never seen so many smiles from so many kids in one go lol.
I for one would like to go back to this hotel next year, second day back and there is planning for next years holiday at the same hotel.
5 stars from me.

Iberostar Bouganville Playa. This must be about one of the best hotels on the island.
The hotel was spotless, always clean towels, clean sheets & the air con. was great.
Food was fantastic, as much of it as you wanted. the hotel is in a great location, not in the bizz, but not isolated either.
The hotel staff were absolutely fantastic, the waiting staff could'nt do enough for you, they were always to hand.
The entertainment at the hotel was very good indeed.
The whole hotel is run like a tight ship and that certainly instills confidence in one's self.
I most certainly will be visiting this hotel again! and again! and again.
