We stayed at the Palmeras hotel in August 2004, 6 of us went (adults), and had a lovely time. The hotel was cleaned every day by the maids which were very friendly. However our showers were not too good as little water came out. The beds were comfy, however a little shabby and small.
The pool was very nice, however we didnt have a view of it, we were given a view looking over the car park. The food in the hotel was excellent, there was always different dishes every day. The bar and lounge area was very nice, and the staff were always there to help.

We have stayed in this hotel for the past three years. The reason that we have gone back for the last few years is that we wanted a hotel that was local to the bars, not too near the lively nightlife and this hotel is exactly that.
The front of the hotel is in between a couple of bars and shops, this is not a problem and the hotel is very impressive when you get inside. The reception is very spacious and the reception staff can speak all languages and are very pleasant. On the floow below reception level, it a conservatory and lovely big sofas where you can get out of the sun and relax. This is also where you get to the pool
All the rooms we stayed in were quite spacious and very comfortable. we always paid abit extra for a pool view as this is also a beach view.
The pool is a lagoon style pool which we found really nice. It is one pool spilt into three sections by bridges, there is a main pool, the middle size pool is good for weak swimmers as it is the same depth all over and then there is a baby pool. Both of my children loved their holidays in this hotel. Last year when we stayed they was creating a playroom on the lower floor.
I would stay in this hotel again and again. Having been to tenerife for the last 5 years, we decided to go somewhere new for this year, but will most likely be going back soon.

I have just returned from a very pleasant 14 day stay at this hotel. I was impressed with all the services provided.
The desk staff spoke all languages and were very helpful, efficient, and pleasant at all times.
The meals were buffet style, good quality, plenty of selection, and again the restaurant staff were very pleasant.
I didn't sample the entertainment so I can't really comment on this aspect. However it didn't disturb me, and my room was only on the first floor.
The rooms were very comfortable, clean, air conditioned, and the maid service very good.
The swimming pools were well situated, clean, with lots of sunbeds, but you needed to get down there early as the towels were put on the beds.(by all nationalities!!!) The staff tried to stop this but without much success.
I agree with the previous report, in that it's not the most impressive looking hotel from the outside, but very nice inside, and good facilities e.g. shops, bars etc.
It was also in a good location, with bars and restaurants nearby, and directly on to the beach from the back of the hotel.
I would definately stay at this hotel again if I was visiting Las Americas, Tenerife.

Not great looking on the outside. Very nice inside. Desk speaks different languages and are very helpful. Rooms are traditionally European-small twin beds, which we asked to get pulled together to make a big bed.
Food-Good, is buffet style and tastes like buffet food.
Breakfast is good for Europeans-pork and beans, poached eggs, tea.
Entertainment is very cheesy, I suggest ignoring it. If you get a room not high enough you'll hear the awful din all night. Wish they would entertain us with Canarian/Spanish dancing, music, etc.
I would stay there again. It's clean, people are nice, it's close to a lot of things. Rooms are clean. Buffets are convenient and has variety.
