I stayed at the PBC for a week from the 28th December - 4th January. The apartment, a great sized 1 bedroom with seperate kitchen area, was on the 5th floor and had a balcony with a great view of the sea. The kitchen was fully equipped for SC and included a cooker, fridge, kettle and m/wave. Plus utensils and cutlery.
The room was really clean upon arrival and this standard was maintained for the entire stay. The maids were very efficient and always tidied up all my mess everyday. Towels got changed every other day but if you dropped on floor you got fresh ones. The bed linen did not get changed whilst there but that was no problem as it was only a week's stay. It can be hard to have a lie-in because the cleaners start early and can be quite noisy; especially when you have only had a couple of hours sleep!
The location was fab. Right opposite the beach and close to Veronica's. You could walk to the Safari patch in about 20mins, or at least I did. You could get cabs right outside the hotel to anywhere at anytime of day or night. You just wait outside the chinese as that is the taxi rank.
I never really had much contact with the staff but they all seemed nice enough and check-in + check-out was smoothly dealt with. You pay for the safe but that is the same as most places out there. There is a restaurant attached and the food was actually reasonable and tasty too. I didn't use the pool on site but it was buzzy and active down by the pool with loungers and the like around. There is also keep-fit activities and games organised which only cost a few Euros to access. You buy a card for around 10Euros and you get as many beach towels as you need per day and can also take part in the classes and games on site. It is most definitely worth it so buy one!
There is also a supermarket on site and they have offers on beers which can be good value if you don't want to do the supermarket mission.
I loved the PBC and Tenerife in general and would return to the hotel without hesitation. It is most suitable for families & mature holidayers but that is not to say there were not younger holidayers about. As a single person in my 20's, I felt comfortable for sure . Because of the proximity to the Strip there can be some noise heard late at night but it is not that bad at all and to be expected because of location.
There are lots of places to eat around and there is an internet cafe about 2mins away which was like the icing on the cake for me.
You have to pay 3.5Euro for the sun loungers on the beach which got my goat but as long as you are aware of it in advance, which I wasn't, then I guess it wouldn't get yours! I know I said this already but the location is truly SUPERB and PBC is a great clean and spacious hotel that allows you to really enjoy the best of PDLA & Tenerife from a great base. I would class it as a 3*/3key establishment.
