Hotel was good. Furniture dated but adequate, beds newish and comfortable. Cleanliness spot on. Arrived at 11.00.a.m - room ready which was a bonus.

Hotel staff from reception, dining room staff, cleaners all 1st class. Great sea and beach views. Sometimes a wait for lifts but nothing major.

Disappointed with the food (but I am a fussy eater) Salad bar best I have found among several other 4* hotels in Benidorm.

No noise at nights. During the day we were wakened by the pile drivers opposite the Ocas, and again in the afternoon when having a siesta, but I reckon anywhere within a mile would have heard them.

Never stayed in for hotel entertainment so can't comment.

Location for beach is ideal and in the evening clubs, pubs and bars are not far away.

Just back from Dalmatas. This was our fourth visit and our last. The food standards this time were very much hit or miss. Meat too tough. Chips dried up.

There was a full variety of food but this was very repetative. By the end of the week we ate out, we couldnt face the same old thing any more.

very good location almost on the beach and staff were lovely. Rooms cleaned daily towels changed daily.

We had the choice of breakfast and lunch or breakfast and dinner. We opted for lunch as we never made it for breakfast (7am-10am) lunch was served between (1am-4pm)we ate out in the evening.

Hotel food lovely but the same every day.

Location fab, sea view from balcony two min walk to the beach.

Didn't speak to the staff much but they seemed friendly. We were put on 15th floor but ask to be moved to lower floor cause we got stuck in the lift on the first night for 3 mins (seemed a long time in there) lifts were horrid, small, very hot, very jumpy and took ages to arrive.
We walked up the 15 flights of stairs one day cause lift never came. Our legs were hurting the next day.

Didn't see any entertainment we went out every night.

Clean towels every day, same sheets all week. Floor always had sand on, never cleaned.

Stayed in this hotel two years running, time for a change next year.

Took our large family to the Dalmatas in June - there were three adults and four children (though two were classed as adults). We had three spacious rooms - a huge one for the children which easily fitted four beds in with plenty of space left over. We had a twin room which was large, and our eldest had a single room (with a double bed in it??!).

Overall impressions - friendly, spacious and cool, nice (old fashioned rectangular) pool with pleasant pool bar.
Rooms dated (especially the bathrooms) but comfortable and nice enough if you aren't concerned with everything being bang-on up to date. Beds were the most comfy we had slept in so far! All rooms we had had balconies and nice views with a stunning one across the bay (which was spectacular to watch the storm from!) Cleaners regular and efficient.
Food - nice, but nothing to write home about. A bit too repetitive for us. Not enough to appeal to young children (except chips!) There were a couple of nights with a bit of variety with a Chinese special and a carvery meal.

Position - very near beach, nice and quiet with hardly any yobbery to be seen or loud noise to be heard. Disadvantage is that it is one of the furthest hotels away from the old town, but it was a lovely walk. If you want clubs and comedians etc. it's about a 10 minute walk to that area. Very near the water skiing zip line thingy and a handful of good British run bars.

Negatives and concerns -
Lifts - they got stuck between floors several times which my younger children were quite scared by. They (as in other hotels I have stayed at) get irritatingly slow at meal times.

Balconies - really worried us - we were 8 floors up (there are 18 floors altogether) and the railing was a bit wobbly in the kids room, and had cracked and broken tiles and concrete at the base. Our room didn't have a wobbly balcony rail but was evidently in need of some repair at the base. I had to make certain to lecture the children every day not to go near it to ease my anxiety about it.

Restaurant - excellent service but too efficient - several times they removed cutlery and even plates of food before we had finished. Don't wander off to pick up a roll!

Entertainment - we were actually quite impressed by some of the acts they had (especially the dancers) but it was a pity that the room was virtually empty most of the time. I don't know if this is usual or partly due to the smoking ban in hotels in Spain now. Us evil ones formed an International smokers club outside the door to the pool area!

Pool - seemed very cold to me so I swam in the sea more, but the children didn't seem to mind! They have a rule about not reserving sunbeds, but it wasn't enforced so most were reserved with towels, many of which didn't move all day. Pool has a shallow area for toddlers. Plenty of shady areas to sit out of the sun.

Gym - was going to spend time in here but it needs updating as most equipment seemed a bit decrepit so didn't bother.

This seems to be a popular hotel, which although packed, didn't seem full. Met many people who had returned time and time again. Warm and friendly staff who are happy to entertain children.

We would definitely return as we had such a relaxed and pleasant time there, but I have strong reservations about the state of the balconies.

Disappointing realy after reading all the good reports. Good location handy for shops, nightlife and beach. Rooms very tired, need updating. Lifts diabolical, not slow, badly programmed, e.g. lifts go to top floor and pick up, travel to ground floor then repeat process to next highest floor, average wait 10 mins, not good.Food good, service very good.Pool o.k., average size, gets sun most of the day. Plenty of sunbeds.Prices for drinks in hotel very high, 11 euros for two vodka and orange.Fresh towels daily but sheets not changed in 7 days. Staff very courteous and efficient.Entertainment, well didn't see any, went out each night. The hotel has a distinct lack of atmoshphere. Lots of steps to pool, outside bar, gym etc, if you are old you won't like this.

We have been in the Los Dalmatas twice now and find it a superb hotel already got another 3 holidays booked. We have been in a lot of hotels in Benidorm and find this one the best of all.

Food is excellent plenty to choose from.

Our room had 4 beds in and still had plenty of room very clean, towels changed every day bed linen twice a week. Large bathroom plenty of hot water. Lifts are a little slow. We were on the 11th floor and had a lovely view.

Didn't stay in for entertainment so cannot comment on it but everything else was first class.

Looking forward to our next holiday there in October 2006. It has made it better now that it is a no smoking hotel especially with having asthma. Ideal location would recommend to anyone.

Just returned from Hotel Los Dalmatos, had a brilliant weeks holiday. Really no complaints at all, OK the lifts are a bit of a pain but nothing to get into a state about.

We had our 2yr old granddaughter with us and she loved it. The restaurant staff made a real fuss of her, and the head waiter could not be more helpful.

Hotel in brilliant position and not at all noisy. Food was excellent with a good choice and really enjoyed the Cava at breakfast time.

Pool area very pleasant with sun beds, tables and chairs and nice areas shaded by trees for when it gets a bit hot. All areas of the hotel exceptionally clean.

My husband and I were on the 12th floor with a lovely sea view. Would not hesitate to visit this hotel again.

Hotel was clean although could be doing with a bit of updating.

Good location for the beach. We were on 17th floor so had a great view.

We were fulll board so the food was plentiful and tasty.desk staff very helpful although the waitresses should be taught how to smile and be more friendly to the guests.

Would return to this hotel. Didnt stay in for the hotels entertainment but plenty of entertainment in the surrounding area.

My wife and I (60ish)recently returned from our 2nd stay at the Dalmatas, and had a wonderful time. We have just booked for another spell in October.

Very clean and comfortable great food with plenty of choice, staff very frendly. Location suited us as it was quiet and close to the beach.

Sometimes you had to wait for the lifts but nothing to get worked up about, and the steps to pool was a bit of a problem for those with walking difficulties.

Didn't stay for the entertainment, 4 pubs a stones throw away. Triangle,White Horse,Plazza and last but the best the Malibu a quality piano bar with top
artists and guest singers.

A meeting place for the
ex-brits most former entertainers, Wednesday night
is the Jazz night.

Well worth a visit and on the doorstep of the hotel.
Many people were returning for the umpteen time, and
easily to understand as this a very well run hotel in
which we felt extremely comfortable in.
