Everywhere seemed very clean, didn't seem much to do on an evening so we stayed at our hotel. Some shops during to visit but all similar, unfortunatley the usual story, our two daughters 16 and 18 went shopping and were robbed by the flower sellers, they were too polite for their own good and let them get too close. Beach was okay but not very nice sand, very gritty.
We would go back again it was a very relaxing holiday.

Beach is not great because shingle is hard on feet. Going into the sea is very dangerous because the shelf that drops into the sea is lethal. Not ideal for children. Local people are lovely. The friendliest and most welcoming place. The bars on the beaches are great and the children can play right next to you while you relax and enjoy the beautiful sea views. If it rains though and you are caught out there is a problem with the sewage as it comes up through the drains.

Calella is the same as any other Spanish resort but with a sleepier feel. If I did not go for the Rockin Fest then after a few day I would be bored as there is not much for the families there in the night. I would imagine that if you had kids you would book a hotel with kids entertainment. I think it is great for older people who just want to chill out. The beach is great and at only €5 for a back massage on the beach who can moan!
I know Calella is dead in winter as a mate lived there.

As our hotels pool was so small we found ourselves either on the beech or visiting the many shops of the resort.
We found the beech to be of a high standard, but would warn people with children of the level the sea drops in such a short space.
The people are friendly, the shopping, resturants and night life is very good. I would recommend the resort as family friendly.

Calella has 2 main streets that are packed with shops and bars, if you are a shopaholic then this is the resort for you. It's beach is clean with golden sand, although the sand is a bit gritty but the kids don't mind. In the evening there are family pubs, some of them have playrooms for the younger kids, but there are also nightclubs for the older market. Barcalona is great to get to from Calella and the Nou Camp tour is well worth going on.

Quite a nice resort with a few good bars to escape from the hotel to. Try Molly Malones, Beach Bhoys and Alcatraz.

The beach was always clean, and had lifeguards.
There was lots of activities on the beach like volleyball, football etc(a international volleyball comp was on, they are very tall men.)
Lots of littles cafes with toilets, they also hired out sunbeds.
The resort cleanliness like anywhere has a hard job of keeping up with all the rubbish 24 hours a day, some streets are worse than others.
The entertainment was good in the bars we went into, drinks and food not over priced.
We went mainly into Papas bar which is next to the hotel,
and we are returning next year.

The location of the hotel is fantastic only a couple of steps to the beach and is the centre of many many shops, also a few mins on the train takes you to Barcelona where you can visit the Neu Camp which is fab.
The hotel was very very clean and the staff very friendly, unfortunately not too keen on the food, not much variety for my daughter.
Rooms were cleaned spotlessly everyday and the sheets and towells changed too.
Entertainment was only on a Sat night but the season for this had not started.
