Went for two nights with my mate for a fag run and stayed at this hotel. If you go with your mates and want no sleep most of the night then this is the hotel for you.The rooms are really bad and in need of refurbishment/demolition. When we finally got some sleep we were woken at about 5.30am by some spanish teenagers singing in the hallway out side our door.I would NEVER EVER take my wife and kids to this hotel as it is not for familys at all.If you've already booked this for a family holiday phone and change hotels.

Clean, food edible, booze good, staff nice enough.
We had a good weekend, not for young children but acceptable for 14 50 year olds from Cardiff.

The hotel was very average for a 3 star. It was very noisy during the night - the corridors are tiled and not carpeted. The food was fine although sometimes I found it a bit bland. If you went to the restaurant after the specified times on the All Inclusive card, the food could be rather cold. Also, you need to go down about 8 steps to the dining room as the lift does not go down to that floor - this was a problem for some old people / families with prams etc. There is definitely no access for people in wheelchairs. The rooms were in need of refurbishment however, they were clean. The maids came to the rooms very early in the morning which was annoying at times. The location of the hotel was great. The TV in the rooms had had the buttons removed so you could not change the channels manually and had to get a remote control from reception which was 20 euros deposit which I thought was a bit steep. All in all, the hotel was cheap and cheerful and my rating would be OK. Cheap & Cheerful!!

I had read the reviews on this hotel before we traveled but only paying 180 quid for the 2 of us with transfers I was expecting it to be a bit shabby.
OMG the first night I almost had a punch up with some Dutch students who thought it was funny to run up and down the corridor at 4.00 am in there stilettos screaming and singing they did quieten down for ten minutes when I had my fist in there face but they didn

Gran Casino Royal, Lloret de mar
Only read reports after I booked the hotel! so was a little worried that is wasnt any good for families.
And that is right location is perfect but no entertainment at all for the children even going in half term week they didnt providr anything.
Pool area too small for the size of the hotel with too many steps and different levels if you have young children with buggies. Alot of young people staying, Clowning around by the pool a little intimidating would hate to be there in high season!
Rooms very basic had four beds in a standard size room very squashed, decoration in real need of updating.
Food not too bad if you will try different things always salad and pasta dishes on and chips.
Visited the sister hotels: The Royal Star and The Royal Beach and would say they are much nicer hotels a little further out but more family orientated and modern. A cheap holiday is what you pay for and its what you get.
Would recommend to either young groups or parties looking for central location, drinking and clubbing but not families!

H-TOP Gran Casino Royal
This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.
The food was basic and luke warm.
Entertainment just played music all night.
Room was not cleaned much took maid about 10 min to do it.

Don't worry about bad reports of this hotel take no notice of them unless you have paid over the odds to stay here.
The hotel is ideally located to the resort centre the all in buffet is usual spanish cuisine with a few English choices thrown in now and again but at least its presented well looks very nice and clean chefs are all suited up too.
You got to remember its all in and you can use the other h top hotels also which i suggest you should especially for food and entertainment. Not very good here for kids full of piss heads mainly especially German and dutch.
They are rude and arrogant always push in treat them how they treat you and you will win. Watch out as you enter the hotel as these dirty bastards spit from their rooms above make sure you report them.
Get to the bar earlyish while about 7-8 because that's when all the foreigners start and it will take you ages to get served get your self down the main strip at this time cos all the deals are on.

On arrival to the hotel in the early evening I was pleased with what I saw, a modern looking hotel with friendly hotel staff on the reception. A good start.
The four lifts available worked OK and were of the highest order of cleanliness.
On arrival to our room we were a little disappointed with the bedroom arrangements as we had ordered a standard double room and ended up with two beds pushed together to make a double and a single bed for the child. The decorations could do with a spot of paint but not that bad and the bathroom needs modernising but clean and in full working order. I would describe the room as livable.
The bar area was both acceptable for smokers and non smokers with plenty of seating in both area's. Bar staff very accommodating and all inclusive drinking acceptable in plastic glasses for safety reasons. Very good entertainment for all tastes with audience participation. obviously some people over do the free drinking but everywhere you go now a days some people have too try and spoil it for the majority.
The meals were not bad with lots of options for variety from salads to full meat dinners. There was always a fresh supply of fruit and a good selection of sweet options.
I had read reports on this hotel before my departure and was expecting the worst, but do not let these reports put you off visiting this hotel, you maybe pleasantly surprised.

When we got to this hotel it took us ages to get checked in as all the Italian students were in the reception.
We [eventually] all went to our rooms. I was impressed with the room then I sat on the side of the bed and it collapsed. The toilet was disgusting and the TV didn't work either.
My sister went into her room she went to use her loo and there was a floater[yuks]. The noise at night was terrible the students made noise in the landing from midnght to 5.30am.
The food was ok the same as anywhere else the location was fantastic.
The staff weren't that happy the entertainment was only at night wasn't too bad for March apart from that it was not too bad, I would go again.

Gran Casino Royal is the worst hotel we have ever been to.
It was overrun with students 16yrs old approx. They were drunk noisy and swearing all night, and most of the day.
Staff didn't smile, manager didn't give two hoots. Lifts kept breaking down. We never saw any entertainment in 9 days, we were booked in for 14 days, but we got out early.
Building work next door, plastic glasses in bar, pork/fish every night. I wouldn't go there again if you paid me.
