If you are ever going to stay at this hotel make sure you are fit and very healthy and don't have any breathing problems were you need to use inhalers, the road from the front up to the hotel should be named as Coronary Hill as this hill could lead and cause a person to have a heart attack, the side of the hotel where we where it was always in the shade, and another thing is advisable to bring earplugs because you find when people come in late they can be a bit nosy taking no thought for people trying to sleep, and people argueing during that time of the morning....

Half board was not worth it as the food was very poor and after a few days we ate out.The rooms were cleaned daily to a high standard. The location is ok but stay away from the road side as the noise is terrible way into the early hours.I found the staff to be surley, arrogant and not very helpful, the bar staff were also very poor. The entertainment was very poor the highlight being a parrot show.... enough said. One visit to this hotel is more than enough,i for one wont be going back.Oh and a word of warning stay away from the "24 hour square" nothing but trouble, trust me i know from experience!

Benalmadena has not got much to offer for kids a couple of bungees in the marina area, travel to Fueringola for the zoo and a playground type of area. Torremolinos has more for kids than Benalmadena it also has a playground type of area. Benalmadena's marina has lots of restaurants very reasonable.

The resort is lovely and ideal for families. The marina has some lovely restaurants and is only 10-15mins walk from the hotel.
I'm not a beach person & we only went to the beach for 1 day, well an afternoon actually but it seemed clean & sunbeds were in good condition.
I couldnt really see much in terms of resort entertainment. There are plenty bars & restaurants however if thats what it means.

Benalmadena is very nice. There is lots for kids to do. I would definitely recommend a visit to the crocodile park, our kids loved it and they got to hold a baby crocodile!
The marina is just beautiful especially at night and you can take a boat trip to go dophin spotting. Sealife is also well worth a visit, as is the aqua park and a trip to Gibraltar is a must. Overall the resort is very good.

Hotel situated on a big hill, it is big when you have to push a 3 year old in a buggy !!, the resort itself is quite hilly, few good bars dotted around, Karoke bars etc,
something for everyone, very cheap to eat out, set menus in local restaurants - 3 course with choice 9 - 11 euros
each.

We will definately go back to Benalmadena again. We had a walk in both directions as the hotel was more or less in the middle. Shops were still open when we arrived at 11.30pm which was great. The beach is great although a little sore on the feet as its shingle as you first go into the water but after about 5 feet you get to the sand. The resort has loads of stuff to do we took a day trip to Gibralta and that was fantastic, take pound sterling tho if going as its better value. And Non EU regulations apply to cigs (cost about £10) and alcohol (£5 litre of smirnoff). There are also day trips to Morrocco which cost around 75 euro. There were tons of markets on zoos and a sealife centre the sort of resort which suits anyone. We will definately be going back to Benalmadena.

First time on the costa del sol and was impressed, the promenade, marina and beaches are spotless. Unlike some of the more commercial areas. Plenty of nightlife to suit everyones needs. from excellent restaraunts to affordable beachside bistro's. Plenty of clubs for the younger at heart and try out the ice bar if you really want to chill. we where lucky to be there during a festival and witnessed the best firework display i have ever seen as well as the locals really letting thier hair down.

This resort is sandwiched between Fuenguerola and Torremolenos with a pleasant promenade which stretches for several miles. There are numerous bars and restaurants providing both English and Spanish quisine. The Beach is not sand but crushed shells and care is needed when walking on it in bare feet. Otherwise it is kept clean and there are always sun beds to be had ( 8 euros per day). The highlight of the resort is the Marina which is spectacular particularly at night. If you visit Benalmadena do not miss it. There are regular local buses to all the nearby towns and resorts.
In the height of summer the walkways underfoot proved to be non too clean but I put this down to the sheer volume of people in the resort.

Benalmadena is a quieter resort than its near neighbours and is mostly centred around dining out. The majority of restaurants along the promenade are cheap and chearful so dont expect Egan Ronay dining, although along at the harbour (20 mins walk, or a 1 euro bus ride) there are some nicer places. It isnt a resort for the young clubbers but it does have the 24 hour square which appeals. Not much to do for kids up to 16. Rent a car when there and visit the Crocodile farm and the safari along the coast near Marbella.
