If you are ever going to stay at this hotel make sure you are fit and very healthy and don't have any breathing problems were you need to use inhalers, the road from the front up to the hotel should be named as Coronary Hill as this hill could lead and cause a person to have a heart attack, the side of the hotel where we where it was always in the shade, and another thing is advisable to bring earplugs because you find when people come in late they can be a bit nosy taking no thought for people trying to sleep, and people argueing during that time of the morning....

Just returned from a 11 night holiday in Benalmadena, the resort itself was ok, plenty of bars and places to eat. The Marina and the local Park were in my opinion the best parts. The local bus and train services are cheap and regular so we visited lots of other places. Mijas was a lovely spanish town which was pretty and clean, well worth a visit. (Bus 121) and we went on the Bus Tour of Malage which was a great day out. Tivoli world was a good night out and our 6 year old loved it there, we ate in the chinese restaurant where the food was lovely and only 9 euros for 3 courses off the menu of the day. We also visited Aqualand which was another good place to take the Children. Look out for vouchers in McDonalds and a few of the shops on the promenade which offer discounted entrance. Tickets to the Zoo are also cheaper in the office near the ticket station in Fuengirola. If we did return to the Costa del Sol I don't think I'd return to Benalmadena, my main reason being the cleanliness of the resort. We found there to be lots of dog poo on the paths and the resort a little Blackpoolish (not that there's anything wrong with Blackpool!!)

We enjoyed the walk along the front. Lots of places for walking. Our hotel was just on the edge - probably the best location in Belamadena.

Paloma Park is great place to visit. There is a lovely lake, various play parks and loads of tame wild animals to feed. We spent some time in the park most days.
Arroya de la mil is the Spanish end of town and has lovely tapas bars and some nice shops and play parks. Tivolli World is in the this area.
Tivolli World was great until our two year old tried to say hello to the bear at the front of the park and wasn't allowed near him in case we took a photograph. We had already bought the official photograph. This left a sour taste in our mouth and spoiled what would have been a good evening.
The Beach is shingle. There is a nice walkway all the way along the resort from the marina. The marina itself is nice for a walk in the evening.
We will visit the area again but prefer to stay nearer to Torremolinos as we enjoy San Migel Street area.

Second time we have been here so we obviously like it. plenty of entertainment to suit all tastes. Can't comment to much on the beach this year as the weather was so bad while we were there we didn't get to see much of it.

Benalmadena is wonderful. It seems to have everything.
The 24 hour square (for those that want it) bars with entertainment (for those that want it) and plenty of bars where you can just sit and watch the world go by.
The Marina is outstanding. The restaurants are great. We first went there in July last year and have just booked our fourth trip. You really must find the Square Ole you will get a very warm welcome from Mo and Wally (we called in for a quick drink and ended up spending most nights there) and Don'Rebecca and Stuart (try her home made food) and the Buddha bar is a must, Jan is a charming host and makes everyone welcome.
On the promenade, we found the Carte D'or great, always made us very welcome. There are lots of lovely fish restaurants and some great stalls selling jewellery and other bits.
The park is a must with chickens and rabbits wandering around, ducks in the lake and deer in a pen. You should also go in the cable car, bit scary but worth it for the view and the birds of prey. If you have youngsters with you Tivoli World is a must.
All in all a great place.

As we only stayed a couple of nights didn't really see much of resort as it rained on one day. We walked along beach and around part of the town and found a lovely Spanish restaurant, very reasonable. We loved the Marina & Beach, not too keen on the rest of Benalmadena could do with a bit of a face lift.
