If you are ever going to stay at this hotel make sure you are fit and very healthy and don't have any breathing problems were you need to use inhalers, the road from the front up to the hotel should be named as Coronary Hill as this hill could lead and cause a person to have a heart attack, the side of the hotel where we where it was always in the shade, and another thing is advisable to bring earplugs because you find when people come in late they can be a bit nosy taking no thought for people trying to sleep, and people argueing during that time of the morning....

Benaldmadena is quite a nice resort although we have been to much nicer places. the promenade was lovely to walk along and the most outstanding part of it was the marina. Very ncie. There was not too much going on in October in the area where we stayed and watched alot of football. There is alot of walking to be done here either up steps of up cardiac hills. It is fair to say that there is an awful lot of things to do in the area - Tivoli World is a must and very reasonably priced. The Dolphin park was great and the local park was lovely. Buses are frequent and the town of Arroya was a very welcome treat as you wuold not expect it to be there. Not bad resort but would not go back in a hurry.

Harbour area lovely
Lack of night time entertainment

the beach was a 15 min walk downhill (and a 30 min walk uphill when you have kids !!) and was very nice and clean with lots of seafood restaurants. lots of places were closed for the season, so can`t comment on the resort entertainment. there were ,however, a few nice restaurants and they were quite reasonable. i would never go back to these apts and i doubt i`ll ever go back to the resort

Have stayed in nearby Benalmadena before and loved the area, so much going on until late, but no yobs.It was 5 years ago when we last visited and feel that it needs a bit of a facelift, a bit tired and dirty in places. The beach is great and very clean. Will visit again sometime and will recommend to friends.

We found Benalmadena to be very nice the Marina was good but a quite a bit of rubbish about.
Plenty of bars one in particular called The Carlos pub is worth a visit beautiful inside and with a courtyard at the back very classy also if you want a coffee and brandy you wont find better than The Versaille coffee bar. They are both at the top of the road if staying at the h10 Palma Sol closeby to the 24 hr square.
We would definately stay in this resort again.

Benalmadena is centrally located to get to anywhere on the costa del sol, plenty of buses, tickets normally 1.05 euros for most journeys up and down the coast.
Resort throughout is very clean with lovely beaches.plenty to do if you take the trouble to ask. There's the local paloma park, next to the Dolphinarium.
Cable car, this is a must. If you go, try to go about 12 noon, as there is a very good birds of prey show at 1pm.
Take the trouble to hike to the top, its breathtaking.
If you want achange from the hotel you have alarge varirty of restaraunts, English, Chinese, Indian. Many of the bars have entertainment, again pick what you like, karioke, Irish band, Caberet shows, all in close proximity.
If you don't like walking, just hop on a bus along the front. The fare is always 1.05 euros. Easy to get to the larger resorts of Torremolinos and Fuingorola the other way.
We went on the Gibralta trip with the English only excursion centre, lovely day, recommend the island tour and the dolphin trip. You will see plenty of dolphins right up to the boat.
If you take the trouble to enquire you can achieve plenty without going too far or spending a fortune. You can go on on free trips with the nhp, they are not time share. If you can accept the blanket and bed presentation you still get to see some great sites. Try the lakes trip.
All in all Benalmadena is ideally placed and very clean resort.
