If you are ever going to stay at this hotel make sure you are fit and very healthy and don't have any breathing problems were you need to use inhalers, the road from the front up to the hotel should be named as Coronary Hill as this hill could lead and cause a person to have a heart attack, the side of the hotel where we where it was always in the shade, and another thing is advisable to bring earplugs because you find when people come in late they can be a bit nosy taking no thought for people trying to sleep, and people argueing during that time of the morning....

Very nice resort with plenty to do, although a lot more expensive than other resorts we have visited. The port is vey nice, and the free park with lots of little animals and birds etc, lovely for the little ones. Tivoli amusement park is very good value, while a taxi back to the hotel was only 7 euros, very reasonable.

Beaches were good but crowded at times.

A walk from the hotel along the promenade at night to the Marina is recommended.

We also went to Gibralter for the day , booking through a local travel agent. It cost 30 euro and included a tour of the Rock - well worth it. !

Streets were dirty and never washed down. All stained with the ice cream and sticky drinks from the day before.
If you like karoke you may be satisfied but otherwise its a bore. The only possible fun is in Tivoli World but you would only visit this once. The quality of the sand beside Sunset Beach Apartments is very rough.
It is the nearest I have ever been to walking on builders rubble. Tons of sharp shells and stones.
If you are bringing small children make sure they have foot protection or they will be hurt.(Even for adults it is very uncomfortable) The sea also has a very steep drop which could take you by surprise if you are not a strong swimmer. Definitely not suitable for children. If you take a trip by taxi for about ten minutes you will get to a nice soft sandy beach, but do you want to take a taxi every day?

Everything is on the doorstep! Bars/restaurants, the beach is great, the marina was voted best in the world many times, Tivoliworld, a fun theme-park, Paloma park which is stunning...all the little animals are loose and just come up to you in the park. The resort also has a Sea-Life. Although the walk back from the beach is steep but short, the taxis are cheap!

Just felt Benalmadena looked very tatty in several areas.

Thought the Marina looked great and the walk along the prom. The beach looked ok with plenty to do on it.

Overall, been there, seen it, wouldn't go back.

We particularly enjoyed the cable car ride up and down the mountain, really spectacular views.

Once you get there there are free donkey rides, a Birds of Prey display and Andalucian Horses. also Paloma park was great, feeding bread to the fish, ducks, swans and terrapins. Also a lovely cactus garden.

The Marina was beautiful and it was nice to feed the fish in the harbour.

Trendy buildings and yachts all around. Lovely to walk along in the evenings. Cocktail bars all around!
Beaches were clean and sea was really exhillarating with quite big waves, really important to take care with the children!!

Quite a lot of time-share touts on street corners but you only have to say you are not interested and they back-off.

Same with the other people selling things and trying to get you to eat in their places. Most restaurants along the promenade barbeque fresh fish on wooden spikes particularly sardines and Dorada fish served with salad, wedges of lemon and crusty bread. All serve good wine and delicious ice creams and coffee. The Gazpacho (cold soup) is delicious and is different in each place as they all make their own.

Quiz nights are good in Chrissies bar and The Albatross Pub both on 'cardiac hill' (Avenida de Telefonica)Albatross also does Bingo if you like it. Chinese food really nice at 'Chinatown' - 3 course lunch for only 4.55 Euros (about £3.20 each!)

Trains to Malaga are cheap and frequent, the Cathedral is magnificent.

Trips to Ronda and Gibraltar were great shop around for prices but check carefully what is included. Torremolinos good for shopping.

All in all a really relaxing holidsay with plenty to do if you wish to do it.

We would definitely go again if only to visit Granada and play a round of golf, Thanks to all who made our holiday so enjoyable. Viva Espana!!!

The resort has everything you could want no matter what you liked from English pubs and food to typical Spanish which we prefer.

The resort caters for all age groups and the only problem its looking a faded in areas with litter but who drops it ?

The hill wasn't too bad but after a long prom walk then doing that hill it was a bit of a killer.

Benalmadena was superb something for everyone and lots to do Tivoli world was great and the marina was beautiful.

I like a busy resort when I go with my daughter and found this to have alot less going on in the meaning of cabaret, karaoke bars or many bars catering for children no beer gardens play areas or clowns etc on so we stayed in the hotel until the kids disco ended then made our venture out.

The near by park by the windmills is free and beautiful with playground and free ranging rabbits and peacocks.

We all had an fabulous time. I am a great believer in your holiday is what you make of it and we certainly enjoyed ours as much as we hoped we would no doubt we will be returning to the bali soon xx

Loved the whole feel of benalmadena only problem was the time went so fast.

one of the places i wasnt too happy with was aquaworld.
after paying around 64 euro for a family of 4 to get in i didnt find that much to do and some rides we were cueing for upto 45 mins. the kids got on about 2 rides then got to tied and hot to cue any more.

Also for the first few days finding a good place to eat was hard when you have a fussy kid with you. nothing in the hotel was to his liking. we tried a few places along the beach but werent to happy. they give you bread rolls while you wait for your meal then charge you 1 euro each for them.
thank god for the Bella Vista in the marina. we ended up eating there most nights food was fantastic kids loved their lemon chicken and garlic bread.

looking forward to next year to head back to benalmadena
