If you are ever going to stay at this hotel make sure you are fit and very healthy and don't have any breathing problems were you need to use inhalers, the road from the front up to the hotel should be named as Coronary Hill as this hill could lead and cause a person to have a heart attack, the side of the hotel where we where it was always in the shade, and another thing is advisable to bring earplugs because you find when people come in late they can be a bit nosy taking no thought for people trying to sleep, and people argueing during that time of the morning....

SELWO marine park was nice, but it has bad shingle beaches and if you stay in a hotel like ours - the benalmedina palace - you will be the furtherst away from everything thats going on in the town - the highlight of our stay in benalmedina was hiring a car and going to Gibralter - stay there its fantastic!

Promenade was fantastic to walk along - plenty to do here. We walked round the marina (how the other half live) save the Sealife centre for a rainy day. Definitely recommend a visit to Selwo Marina / cable car and Tivoli world (with kids upto about 14 yrs) buy your tickets from the Reps and save a few euros. The park (Las Palomos) in the centre of Benalmadena is lovely to spend a day/evening in.

My husband and I lived in Benalmadena for 5 years, returning to England 3 years ago so it was lovely to visit the area once again. We stayed at the Sorocco Hotel which is ideally situated. Just a few metres down a slight hill and you are on the main road adjacent to the beach. The beach is quite dirty looking and whilst we were there they were replacing parts of it because they had had storms during the winter which had washed some of the sand away. The beach near the marina (Torremolinos side) is much nicer. The prom is lovely with plenty of bars and restaurants - I would highly recommend the local sardines with a lovely salad! The marina is fabulous - when we lived there we had some lovely meals overlooking the boats. If you are looking for the nightlife there are some really nice nightclub/bars here. A short walk up the hill from the Sorocco and you come to the El-Elephante cabaret club - which is a bit like a working mens club but have some great acts. Across the road is Moonlights - where you can listen to one of the original Drifters! A bit further up the hill is Bonanza Square where there are lots of bars and restaurants. Just a short taxi ride or about 20min walk from the hotel is Arroyo which is where the local train station is. By train you can travel along the coast and vist Malaga, Torremolinos and Fuengirola. Arroyo also has the cable-car up to the mountain with fabulous views. There is also Tivoli World which is a funpark with lots of rides and shows. During the Summer season this is open quite late. We love the area and will be going back for two weeks in July to vist friends and get a tan!

Excellent resort and although in low season there were load of places open. Bars, restraunts & night clubs, especially in the marina area which is absolutley beautiful.

It was the first time we had been to Spain & we got a lovely surprise. The resort was lovely & clean & the people seemed friendly. We enjoyed the walks along the sea front & the weather was great.
We found a lovely park with chickens, ducks, rabbits & peacocks running around & readily feed out of your hands.
On the other side of the park there is a Dolphin park with shows on daily.
We had a really nice relaxing holiday & have booked to go again.
