Move
If you are ever going to stay at this hotel make sure you are fit and very healthy and don't have any breathing problems were you need to use inhalers, the road from the front up to the hotel should be named as Coronary Hill as this hill could lead and cause a person to have a heart attack, the side of the hotel where we where it was always in the shade, and another thing is advisable to bring earplugs because you find when people come in late they can be a bit nosy taking no thought for people trying to sleep, and people argueing during that time of the morning....

First visit to Benalmadena - first impression was very busy and even dirty in some parts. If you walk along the marina and along the sea front though you soon change your mind - it is lovely - especially at night. Lots of English bars (saw a lot of geordies) who make you feel really welcome. Can recommend the "Bar Timeless" a couple from Newcastle who have only been out there four weeks and work really hard to make you welcome.
Our friends were there in an apartment and highly recommended the Potters Bar and Sharvilles for food. First-Class English Nosh - they loved it.
Elephantie Club was highly recommend by couples we met - although we were happy with the bars we went in. Up by the island covered in windmills/flags there is a park to walk round in with rabbits, chickens, emus, etc - really nice. Our friends carried on walking past this park and found "Real Spain" - a lovely little village with white small buildings and the school children playing in the playground.
The "lucky lucky tom tom men" were everywhere but if you said no thanks they didn't hassle you but we lost count one night after counting eight different ones. There are the usual timeshare lot - but not too much of a problem.
All in all would recommend - go and have a look at the yachts in the Marina - see how the other half live..........

There was plenty to do in the area. Our 10 year old girl loved the dolphinarium, the Sea Life Centre, the Crocodile park in Torremolinos, and the cable car ride up the mountain. The Tivoli park is only open at weekends, but it was a good day out.

A good all round resort.Tivoli world just up the hill, great if you have kids.
The chair lift up the mountain and the horse demonstration and falcon display, well worth the ride, and stunning views from the top. The beach, adequately clean although not the golden sand that you would find in Majorca, for instance.
The bird park, free to go in, well worth it just to walk around and see all the rabbits and other animals walking free, the nice lake with it's ducks, carp and terrapins to feed, kids love this place, they get to react with all the animals etc. Definately would come here again.
Not as busy as Torremolinos but is only a twenty minute walk from it along the front.

The resort was let down by all the dog dirt, cannot believe how tourists and locals throw rubbish everywhere, even when there are bins close by. Lots of nice restaurants and bars but too many had football on t.v.s!
Nice park.

Overall the resort is quiet and clean. I went in September and found it lacking in entertainment. the nain bug bear was the looky, looky people and time share louts. they never leave you alone.
I do not understand why the spanish goverment don't clamp down on these people as they definitely have an effect on tourists.

the area was good for eating out and small frendly bars, the marina is worth a visit but remember you are in a costly area.

the streets around here were very dirty, lots of dog muck to negotiate around, but it hadnt rained all season so i suppose that didnt help much. there were loads of bars and restaurants to choose from, and an excellent train service so you could go to other resorts very cheaply. the beach was fine but there were jellyfish in the sea which put us off. there were plenty of places to drink and eat and the weather was great, i really enjoyed it.
