We stayed in a 2bed apt in Fuengirola beach apts.

Apartments were very spacious and we had a massive balcony. Apartments had toaster and kettle and plenty of cutlery. Rooms were cleaned regularly. I couldnt find any fault in the hotel.

I have a 2 year old son and all though he was to young for kids club, there was plently of things to keep him happy, kids slides ,baby pool etc. The First Choice reps were excellent and were constantly in the hotel. They put on entertaintment everynight for all ages.

Full laundry room downstairs which is great ,no dirty washing when you get home lol.

Had an excellent holiday and look forward to my next visit.

Hotel location was a bit out of the way and in spite of the name was no where near a beach. Miramar complex next door was handy for self catering but shopping isn't what we want to do on holiday.

Stayed in a 2 bed apt which was spacious enough for the amount of time spent indoors, although would have been glad of more wardrobe space.

Communial areas of the hotel were clean enough but room was only visited by cleaning staff twice during the week and then only to make beds and change towels. Not what we expected from a 3* rated accommodation.

Hotel staff were friendly and helpful and First Choice staff were excellent. Plenty going on during the day. Evening entertainment a bit "Butlins" style but children enjoyed it.

Never ate in the restaurant so can't comment on the food in there but the menu at the pool bar was limited and not very nice.

Overall we had a good time and it was okay for the money we paid but probably wouldn't go back.

The apartments were clean and comfortable. As we were travelling as a large group, we had booked 3 separate apartments and we were not able to get them together. Carmen, the receptionist not only got us 3 apartments as close together as possible, but anytime we went into reception for something, she knew exactly which room we were from and was extremely friendly.

The hotel did have a restaurant as it catered for all board basis', but we only ventured into the restaurant once during our stay.

As for the entertainment, it's OK for families who are after a "home from home" thing. Plenty of activities for the kids during the day like pool games and football and in the evening they did a little bit for the kids and got them up dancing. Adult entertainment consisted of bingo and themed nights with things like Flamenco dancing, and quizzes to take part in.

The hotel itself was nice big room plenty for 4 of us we had a massive balcony didnt have a pool view but could still see the sea.

Weather wasn't very nice was cold and very windy had a nice shopping mall just five minutes away got a huge supermarket which was pretty cheap.

The main strip was a hell of a walk though. Had to walk under an underpass was safe enough though and light as well. It was a struggle to find a decent eating place even though there's loads. We had two kids asw ell so it made it harder.

We found a lovely bar called bandits its bout and hours walk from the hotel but worth it its a family bar and the kids loved it John Michelle and Stephenie are all great friendy people we also found another called Saras kichen. The food there was lovely we found it the day before we left. It was a shame as I think we would have had many more meals there the staff were great there as well. Avoid the Captains table and Pat and Adrians they were terrible !!

We got there at 9pm and were pleased at the fact that it was busy.

The room was very big and had everything we needed for our stay. The room was clean apart from a few ants.

We were a bit away from everything but it was a nice walk. Shopping centre next door had everything we needed staff were great reps the best we have had. Especially Nicola and Vince.

We would go back but in summer just a bit to windy for me.

Stayed at this hotel in Jan 2007 what can I say hotel spotlessly clean, staff more than friendly.

Rooms very nice with everything you could possibly need.

The only problem we had was being out of season nearly everything was still closed although the hotel did put entertainment on the bars in surrounding ares were all closed so this tended to put us off a little.

Location of hotel could be better was quite a way for us as I have walking difficulties, but would still recommend the hotel to anyone wanting to stop in this area.

We have just returned from a Christmas break at this hotel. We were very pleased with our room which was spacious and well furnished although the kitchen would be a little bit basic if you were self catering. Our room had a large and spaciousbalcony which overlooked the road and therefore had great views over the castle and the sea and being south facing had sunshine all day.

The location of the hotel suited us perfectly as we prefer to be on the outskirts of a resort as it tends to be quieter. Getting into town involved a fairly long walk along the seafront but this was a pleasure rather than a task. We had hired a car for the week so it was great being so close to the main coast road without having to fight your way through the town. There was ample car parking space outside the hotel.

Although this was a mid-winter break there was entertainment every night and the hotel seemed lively. We were travelling without children ourselves but there were plenty of children staying in the hotel and they appeared to be well catered for.

The staff were all very friendly and did everything they could to help, they are a real credit to the hotel.

We stayed on a half-board basis and were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food for both breakfast and evening meal. We did eat out a couple of nights but this was only so that we could try a couple of restaurants in town.

Only one negative and this was regarding noise. The outdoor kids play area was located not far from our room and was open until midnight. We tend to get up early and go to bed early but the noise from the play area kept us up on two occasions.

Overall we were very impressed with the hotel and would happily go back again.

The hotel itself was excellent, clean but towels etc was only changed twice a week. Although we were self catering we eat at the pool bar a few time which was reasonably price. Entertainment by the reps was good, they work hard for what they get paid and put on some good shows , they were all really friendly. Views were good, we had a pool view on one side and the castle on the other. The hotel was out the way, we had to cross under a busy road which wasn't lit, and was flooded at times so we had to walk on the road. The hotel wasn't located where the brochure told us it was, as on the brochure we thought we were near the marine but we were miles away. We couldn't foult the hotel it was up to standards. The resort was terrible.

Excellent three star complex. We had a room facing the pool which offers fantastic views across Fuengirola and the mountains.

The staff are very friendly and very helpful, especially the bar staff who work ever so hard but always manage a smile and the First Choice reps who put so much effort into making the holiday extra special, thanks to them.

There is a happy hour at the bar between 5pm-6pm, buy 1 get 1 free drinks....which is what you need after a long day.

There is a Mirimar shopping complex situated just outside the complex, with a whole host of shops, cinema and even a play area for the kids and even bigger kids, also in the complex you will also find lots of places to eat, with burger king for the kids.

Fuengirola itself can be reached by taxi 6 euro's, and the better food choices are there, with some fantastic prices!

The only downside to the holiday was the Fuengirola beach is a little out of the way, but this won't spoil your enjoyment of a fantastic holiday as there is a lovely walk along the sea front to pass the time away, picturesque views and if you are just feeling tired, there are taxi's situated just outside the complex at the Mirimar.

Best wishes to all the staff at the Fuengirola beach, we had a excellent holiday!!
