Location
Location at the end directly behind the castle was quiet and a bit of a trail into the centre on a night. (plenty of buses and taxis though)
Very good for self catering as next to a huge shopping centre and supermarket.
Good entertainment, reps try very hard. Well worth a visit.

The entertainment staff and service personel were excellent.
One concern we found that was not mentioned when booking the holiday was the building of what appears to be a new hotel opposite.

Got some shopping in the massive shopping centre next door, but to be honest because we were there for just a week we didn

There is a large shopping centre right next to the complex which is very hany for all your shopping from food to clothes if you forget anything.
There is a bit of a walk to the beach but its not too bad after the first time.
The entertainment was really good I don't think there was one act that we never liked.
We enjoyed it that much we are thinking of doing it again.
Only one thing you only have a 2 ring cooker and a microwave, no freezer compartment in fridge so don't buy frozen meals.
Enjoy.

We found the hotel very clean, staff very helpful.
The room were a nice size, and as we went self catering we had the chance to buy our meals at the hotel or to eat out.
We did buy our breakfast and three evening meals plus the carvery evening from the hotel and it was ok.
My wife did meet two other couples, one from Scotland and one from Wales. All together we had a great week and met some good friends.

Location could have been a little better but is easily put up with due to the hotels many other plus points.
Excellent time was had and have re-booked as a result of this.

Accommodation was very good and hotel staff very attentive.
Entertainment was also of a good standard.
One moan however, a problem with kiddies club which was closed due to staff performing airport duties one day when we went. This could have been avoided if the situation had been advertised in advance by posters in the hotel lobby or elsewhere.
All in all we had a great holiday and shall be returning to claim our quiz masters crown again very soon.

The one problem we found was having to cross the main road, to get to the beach.

The pool was lovely it had a big shallow end and as I like a swim found it great for lenghts. I found it warm after initial dip. They also had a great kiddies pool. In addition they had trampolines, pool tables, air hockey and other amusements for the children.
I only had breakfast at the hotel once, but it filled me up for most of the day. It had the usual buffet style food. I would recommend s/c as there are 3 large supermarkets nearby.
There were just a couple of niggles - there was no icebox in the fridge and the entertainment was very butlins/pontins style. Having said that the flamenco show was good. The kids club was good but not divided into the two age groups as advertised.
There was no rush for sunbeds as all the residents are Irish/ English/Scottish or Welsh. At 9:30 most people still had not surfaced.
The hotel is right beside a huge shopping centre which has just opened. There is a huge supermarket here which sells food, beds, bikes, clothes, shoes, baby equipment etc. There is a hairdresser, a burger king, pizza place, loads of clothes shops inc. Zara and home decor shops, and millions of shoe shops. A couple of bars a tapas bar which sells delicious tortilla and a hollywood restaurant which sells burgers.
About a ten minute walk away is Dunnes Stores and Lidl and a 30 minute walk you are at the train station, but there is also a bus that runs once an hour or twice an hour in the evening.
There are loads of restaurants in Fuengirola, we liked The Pepper pot on hungry row for steak and Ku Damm opposite the harbour as recommended here also.
One slight thing I must mention. You are about 10 mins from the beach but to get there you must go under a bridge that goes over the motorway. This section of the beach is separated from the rest of the beach and the wide promenade by the end of the river. Therefore the best solution is to cross over the Miramir Parque bridge (safest route) and go to the beach that way.
