Just back from these apartments.
The complex has a lot to do if you have children younger than a teenager, there is archery if you are over 18, football pitch, 5 asides, kids club though my daughters 14/15 did not go as it was all younger kids who attended so they were board as they could only go into the pool or play killer pool every day in the games room, they also used to go on internet for soemthing to do.

There was no evening entertainment for them either. Cannot fault airtours reps they put on family entertainment at night great shows, they had a flamenco lesson during day one of the days and spanish lesson another day, however i cannot say same for our direct holdiays rep he was rubbish.

Other thing put me off was location, yes its only 10 mins from centre of fuengirola and beach, if you want to trek there every day, the myramar parque shopping centre has loads of shops even a wallis and dorothy perkins, great hipermarket.

Across the dreaded bridge there is a dunnes and a lidl. Beware!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gypsies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was mugged by them 20 feet from front door of castle beach as there is waste ground across the road where they hid in the bushes - not adivsed to walk thru them- they ran out after us and stole my bag. We were not the only family or persons this happened to, there were 5 other people we heard about had something happened to them. Some were attacked some had bags stolen, in fact one boy was threatned with a knife. Best if you are going out go out front door and go left round to the shop centre not right, otherwise get a bus if you are going into town only 85 cents for the bus ride every half hour on 15past/45 to hour or coming back get a taxi around 6 euros from taxi rank nxt to bus station. We had an okay time if it hadnt been for the mugging, so rem beware of gypsies.

Good restaurant to go to is pepper pot, across from macdonalds up the side street, scotsman down at the marina and the restaurants at marina are lovely too, picadilly and try logues bar.

Hope you enjoy yourself but take plenty of money if eating out though dont take all out with you if going out family 4 around 50euros for meal , dont take credit cards out with your at night or passports.

Hotel reception staff very nice and security also nice, maids cleaned three times a week not every day, change of bedlinen/towels 3 times a week which i thought was excellent.

Just recently returned from a two week stay at this hotel and would just like to say what a lovely clean well run complex. Rooms are spotless with towels changed every other day and linen twice a week. Self catering kitchen is adequate though we ate out most nights either in the shopping centre opposite or in Fuengirola itself. Snack bar food was ok. We didnt eat in the restaurant itself as it was mostly cold buffet which we didnt fancy. Most of the staff were very friendly and the airtours team were brilliant especially with the kids. The evening entertainment was pretty good and quite varied. Again as previously reported just be aware certain bar staff tend to short change if they can get away with it! All in all would recommend it for a relaxing family holiday.

Hi i stayed in the castle beach in july 04 it was excellent the location was not the best when we first saw the castle beach it looks as if you are in the middle of no where but when you find your way about it is ok you were about a 15min walk into fuengila and about a 5min walk to the nearest super market.

The meals at at the hotel were cheap, entertainment was excellent lots to do for the little children still a lot to do for the older children to facilities were good.
The pool was big and clean.

The hotel was very clean to the rooms were very big to i would go back to the castle beach because it was excellent holiday and it was very cheap!!!!!!!!!!!

My family and I travelled to the Castle Beach in the summer. It gave us a lovely first impression. We stayed in the apartments which was the 3rd block. It was spotless.

We went self catering but you could still go on occasional nights to the buffet it was clean and the food tasted quite good. If you don't like it there are brilliant restruants in the shopping centre.

The location was fine it took 10 to 15 minute to get into the centre of Fuengurolla which was great. Also next to the Castle Beach was a lovely shopping cente which had big food stores (alot like asda) clothes chemists (ect).

The entertainment was mostly for younger kids but there was pool for the older ones. The also do bingo.

Just got back yesterday and had a fantastic time. We found these apartments spotlessly clean, the cleaners were round every day, except sunday, towels were changed every day and bedding twice a week.
We didnt eat in the restaurant, but did eat a couple of times in the Snack bar and found the food to be well worth the money.
Although some people seemed to find these apartments a bit out of the way, we thaught it was ideal. Only about 10 mins stroll from the beach and the centre of fuengirola and with a large shopping centre next door with every type of shop you could wish for.
The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly although some of them didnt speak much english.
The entertainment was really good and kept the kids happy for the full two weeks, various things going on throughout the day eg football, archery, bowls, water polo and lots of others both by the apartments staff and the airtours reps. Each night again there was always something on organised by the reps and the apartment entertainment team.
Although i would visit these apartments again, i didnt like fuengirola itself, but would say for anyone with young kids this is definitely the place to go.

would never go there again ok the place is clean and the maid service is excellent but thats where it stops for me.we had gangs of teenagers fighting and getting drunk till 4 in the mornin then throwin there emptys in the baby pool,food is awful and expensive and the bar staff constnantly short change so be warned,you have a trek to get to anywhere which is not ideal with a young family so you have to stay on complex and get ripped of entertainment was ok but have seen better at a so called airtours suncentre my recomendation is to go elswhere,

I visited Castle Beach hotel in June with my friends. This was my first student holiday and I was well impressed with the accommodation.

It was so clean and ultra- posh looking. The food in the hotel wasn't very nice, yes you could eat as much as you wanted but it wasn't worth the money.

The hotel was very family orientated and I was disappointed that we seemed to be the only student holidayers, of course as we were leaving a load of Spanish hunks arrived. June isn't the busiest student month.

The entertainment in the place was targeted to kids or families, I did enjoy the happy hours though and drinks were so cheap, visit the old castle pub, little happening but with happy hour and friends you can liven it up.

The 'Castle Beach' apts are nice, staff excellent, rooms cleaned every other day.
but beware of these few things:
The indoor pool is all one depth. 1.6mtrs (aprx 5ft), no good for children.
The location of the apartments are bad. The beach is about 1 mile away by quickest root under the 'motorway' roadworks. Then the town is about 15min walk along seafront.
If you have a child in buggy the kerbs are high. So make sure you have a well made one.
There r plenty of scooters wizzing about, lookout for riders on the pavements.
Use 'Lidl' for shopping (water,beer & wine) excellent. Also in new shopping complex use 'Consumer' supermarket.

The entertainment and entertainment staff was the best you could not get any better there is a great team there and i would recomend this to any-one especially familys.
The room miads were always seen around the place cleaning. The location wasnt that good but there is a water park just down the road and under a tunnel PLUS there is a shopping centre just built it is huge. All the staff are so so so friendly.
There was a restraunt was ok and pretty cheap for a buffet.

i am this hotel right now, the hotel itself is great but the location not so great it is about 10-15 mins walk into town which is ok for a family but not if u have elderly people travelling with you.
the beachs are a bit stoney but the sea is really clear a bit chilly though.lol.
i fuly recomend percys bar which is on a street coming off of the beach the owners are really friendlyand the atmosphere is great. the food here is also great there are proper HOME-MADE chips that are so nice.
so you have to go there.
jennas bar is also really nice food and that is on fish alley but the people in there arent to friendly but as i said the foods great and weve been there 5 times since we got here last wednesday
anyway i fully recomend this area but not this hotel if you dont like walking.to get into town you have towalk over 2 bridges under one down a few back streets and out on to the beach front untill you see somewhere you want to go.
