All rooms face the pool or castle. Restaurants along the beach front are all very good and in the hotel if its just chips, burgers and pizza you want.
Whole cooked chicken from the skate park cafe was very nice to.

Try La Tasca Andaluza restaurant; intimate, typically Spanish. Excellent menu of the day 8.50 euros; lots of choice, generous portions + complementary olives, bread and liqueur. Ying Ping also very good and reasonable.
Ask for high floor, the view is fabulous.

Obvious signs of recession, food and drink very expensive though in Eroski supermarket more like home. Nearly got arrested for taking photographs of the Miramar shopping centre, some nasty niffs from the drains, but very few problems with insect life.
Local kids very courteous and on buses, everyone just gives up their seat for an OAP, automatically.
I rarely go back to the same place twice, so will probably not return.
Also Trip to Gibraltar, a lot of money, whistle stop, no time to really see it.
Advise staying in Gib over a long weekend.
Fuengirola has a lot of "British" cafes/restaurants, not much in the way entertainment outside of the hotel, beaches were clean but had a habit of sloping off into deep water very quickly once in the water not good for children/adults that are not good swimmers.
Area gives impression construction workers do not finish their work, lots of pavements collapsing, buildings tend to look the same but other areas look as though the investment was there.
Overall a nice beach but overpopulated, over commercialised.

Went as part of a group with adults and kids. Went to town almost every night for dinner, Lots of variety to choose from ............. but the waiters will not give you the specials i.e 3 courses for €15 unless you ask to see them. As it's on the edge of the Costa Del sol the beach is mainly used by locals and therefore clean. Although the grasslands on the edge of the resort seem to be used as a dump

They keep it cleanish, there are spots where dog excrement is about though.

the beach was very clean but be aware there are pickpockets and the attendants do warn you not to leave valuables on your sunbeds, there are lots of bars on the seafront but just a few streets back you have all the shops you could want. The crocodile park next to the water park in Torremolinos is well worth a visit its cheaper to do them yourself than a Thomson trip as is the water park. Easy to get around on the local buses which you catch from the shopping center if you dont feel like a stroll

Have been using this site for many years, I now feel like I need to contribute for the first time. I was worried on two counts - firstly, that Fuengirola would be a fish-and-chips and steak-and-kidney-pie only resort. Secondly, that this accomodation would not be good enough, on the basis of revies submitted.
Instead, Fuengirola was great - loads of authentic Spanish bars and restaurants. And this hotel was perfect - ideal location, clean, brilliant for the kids and we will definitely be returning!

Fuengirola was quite run down. There were numerous properties and businesses closed/run down and either for sale or rent. Lots of bars etc seemed still to be shut for the winter too. I assume it will improve as the season progresses.

Due to bad weather and distance from hotel, my wife and I only went into Fuegirola on two occasions during the day. These were spent in cafes sheltering from the rain. Taxi back to hotel was 8.50 euros.

Typical, chips with everything resort. The weather and the beach were the only redeaming factors. lots of bars with ageing duos for entertainment, might be late in the season, but not much else apparent.
