All rooms face the pool or castle. Restaurants along the beach front are all very good and in the hotel if its just chips, burgers and pizza you want.
Whole cooked chicken from the skate park cafe was very nice to.

Try La Tasca Andaluza restaurant; intimate, typically Spanish. Excellent menu of the day 8.50 euros; lots of choice, generous portions + complementary olives, bread and liqueur. Ying Ping also very good and reasonable.
Ask for high floor, the view is fabulous.

fuengirlo is a quiter resort excellent for families or couples wanting a relaxing time, theres no noisy entertainment in the way of nightclubs, the beach area which gos on and on is fantastic lots of activities where you can use up your energy of just relax on a bed, which by the way cost you very little and you are very well looked after. I actually had reflexology on my feet just lying there which was well worth the money. there are plenty of people on the beach area and the front trying to get you to buy there bits and pieces but just say no and they'll leave you be. we loved everything about this area and would go back again. try going off the beaten track a bit and you will find some bargins

the beach is long and as relaxing or energetic as you want it to be. hire a bed for the day its very cheap and youre well looked after. this resort is very clean and well maintained. there is no noisy nightclubs so mainly attracts families or couples/singles wanting a laid back holiday. like every holiday there are characters going around offering you there goods to buy, just say no and they'll be on their way no problem. try going off on the beaten track a bit and youre sure to bag a bargin. you will not walk for more than say 1 minute at any time without coming across a restaurant/cafe, pub or shop and thats from one end of fuengirola to the other, try some of the the trips on offer or make your own way on the public transport to the boot sales/market or the zoo etc. we would go back to this resort again and again.

The weather here was disappointing, so we had to adapt our plans and do more walks and visits than we expected. This meant that we were able to discover more places to visit. This is a lively resort, we were there the week before easter, and Fuengirola became more and more busy as the big weekend approached. The Tuesday market was very interesting, the easter parades were spectacular, 80-odd blokes straining to carry these huge effigies (pasos) around the churches. Fish alley has an amazing selection of restaurants, and there are bars of every description, including a large number of Irish bars. Buses are cheap and reliable, and you can get to Benalmadena, Torremolinos, Marbella, Mijas, Ronda very easily. We will definitely go back, but next time would take an apartment. There is an amazing number of these in Fuengirola

The apartments were at the other end of the resort to everything else, but literally 5 minutes walk away is the Miramar Centre, which houses a shopping centre similar to the Trafford Centre with a cinema, food court and a large Eroski which is Spain's version of Tesco (open till 10pm mon-sat). Also outside the Miramar Centre is a taxi rank and a bus stop where you can catch a bus into the centre of Fuengirola for only 90 cents each. The resort itself is full of many decent restaurants serving a variety of food. Just watch out for the timeshare touts that operate during the day. They literally jump out of cars or off mopeds and bother you.

Benalmadena is a great resort with lots to do just don't get confused over Holiday Village it isn't in Benalmadena or Fuengerola!!!

Fuengirola is fairly typical of Costa del Sol resorts. There is great shopping and a mix of entertainment. Getting about on the busses and train couldn’t be simpler. The beaches are excellent and very well kept. Property touts are a real hassle here, they try everything from “Do you speak English” to “Are you going to the festival” (even though you know fine well it’s as phoney as the scratch card). Another thing to be ever on the look out for is dog mess. This is a great place for eating out, 3 course dinners from only €4.50, we particularly liked the Chinese restaurants, the best we found however was "Oscars" and the one to avoid at all costs, "The Pepper Pot". For evening entertainment I’d recommend “Pogs” Irish Pub, now I should say I normally avoid Irish places abroad, but this place is the exception. Great surrondings and atmosphere, the acts here are a cut above, with comedians and “real music” bands in the mix. Would I go back…..well maybe!

The hotel is only a 10 min bus ride to either fuengirola or benalmadena & the fare is only 1 euro. There is a good selection of bars & shops in each town & good markets.

Resort was very nice, only one pool was open and we did not know the other pools were closed until we booked it so if your going soon the other kids pools and activities will be closed for a while.
Otherwise very nice, but we went out every day just mainly slept there and watched evening entertainment as there wasn't any thing going on in local towns.
The towns are a bit of a walk we walked to both but I wouldn't advise it for everyone buses are reliable every half hour though!
