All rooms face the pool or castle. Restaurants along the beach front are all very good and in the hotel if its just chips, burgers and pizza you want.
Whole cooked chicken from the skate park cafe was very nice to.

Try La Tasca Andaluza restaurant; intimate, typically Spanish. Excellent menu of the day 8.50 euros; lots of choice, generous portions + complementary olives, bread and liqueur. Ying Ping also very good and reasonable.
Ask for high floor, the view is fabulous.

wasnt over struck on the resort, but we did travel out of season and the weather was awful it rained all week so that does tend to put you off, however we did like the costa del sol and if we come back we would stay in Benalmadena as we liked this resort very much.

We arrived the night after a huge storm and in closed season so dont think we could have a fair comment on the resort as most things were shut. A bit put off buy the busy roads not ideal for young children. More "lucky lucky" men than tourists which was a bit of a pain and dont fall for the scratch card peaople when u could win 3 prizes you waste half your day get driven miles away and you always win the holiday which you have to pay £300 for anyway!

The resort was lovely and clean, drivers were very corteous, they actually stopped at crossings, not like most drivers I have experienced abroad.

Fuengirola is a fine resort for oldies like me & the wife.
It is flat and easy to get around, plenty of seating along the Paseo Maritimo and a cheap and regular bus and train service. One problem is dog mess on the beach and the sidewalks.

I know it was christmas but this resort needs a make over, cafe's and bars to spread out and not much going on in them no particular entertainment for kids in fact this is not a child friendly resort at all ate in a lovely restaurant though called moochers jazz bar very friendly place they look after the kids our 3 year old had crayons and paper as soon as we walked in the door food excellant and reasonable prices beware of the sangria though fantastic taste but lethal especially if had with a kick it's like drinking a fruity drink with no effect until you go outside then you know you have drank it, still lovely though, another place to eat is the wok this is just over bridge from hotel 12 euros each for all you can eat all night we enjoyed this too resort full of men selling watches and copied dvds this can be very annoying but be firm and you'll be left alone to be honest i wouldn't visit this resort again in fact it's doubtfull we'll visit the costa del sol again not family friendly enough for us zoo worth a visit but thats about it

We expected Blackpool in the sun but Fuengirola turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The beach was relatively clean and although this was December the sand was being raked and levelled on a regular basis. We ate out in town on a couple of nights and found some great restaurants in the area behind the marina.

Torreblanca - Los Boliches - Fuengirola run in to each other. We enjoyed some long walks through the resort and along the beach. On Christmas day we paddled and collected shells on the beach.
In the morning before visiting the local Engilsh Church we enjoyed coffee outside a local bar.
The only down side is the dog mess - its everywhere. Litter is to a minimum and graffiti is none existant.
We saw a road train on our last day but didn't try it.
Resort has good bus and train links to bothe Malaga and Torremolinos and beyond.

The hotel we stopped in was very handy because of the train station was about 10 min walk from the hotel and the same for the bus stop as well. there are two supermarkets near by, the Rovers Return pub on the corner and a fish & chip place up the road. The beach front was on the flat and very pleasant. The walk into fuengirola town was interesting and you meet all kinds of people. we found a bench to sit down and do some people watching. Like some people do. We are coming back here soon because it is so nice here.

This was our first visit to Fuengirola. We were at far end of resort could of been done with bit more entertainment.
The beach was lovely and not too crowded. Next time we go to Costa del Sol we might try another resort.
