All rooms face the pool or castle. Restaurants along the beach front are all very good and in the hotel if its just chips, burgers and pizza you want.
Whole cooked chicken from the skate park cafe was very nice to.

Ask for high floor, the view is fabulous.
Try La Tasca Andaluza restaurant; intimate, typically Spanish. Excellent menu of the day 8.50 euros; lots of choice, generous portions + complementary olives, bread and liqueur. Ying Ping also very good and reasonable.

Due to the time of the year we visited (Dec), the resort centre was fairly quiet and most of the shops by the sea front were closed .
There were quite a few bars and restaurants open later on in the afternoon and the odd souvenoir shop. However if you go in the back streets where the ' square' is it would become alive form 7.30pm onwards with all the clothes, shoes and eateries open till late.
I think that as we went in low season most of the bars and clubs were closed, but the locals told us after the months of April the resort centre comes ' alive'.
Fuengirola is much quieter than it's other neighbouring resorts like Torromolinos and Benalmadena. Ony 20mins away from Malaga airport and 30-40 minutes away from Marbella by car.
The beach is absolutely gorgeous, really clean and soft sand and huge!!! I think about 3km of beach. Funfairs and rides for the kids everywhere you go and plenty of beach ' shacks' to get some food. Plenty of supermarkets and internet cafe and the usual chinese and indian restaurants to choose from. All in all if you want a quieter pace of life then this resort is perfect for you!!
We loved it and would definatley go back again!!!

The hotel was very clean our room was cleaned daily, our towels were changed every day.I evan saw gardeners wiping some of the leaves off the trees. There was entertainment on every day sometimes in both bars, the dancing wasnt for us but we had a laugh watching some of the others. The beach is a 5 minute walk away, its lovely and kept very clean.I would definetely go to this resort again,I thought it was excellent value for money.

Long flat prom with lots of benches and good rail service to other resorts. Main criticism was in that area you are close to karaoke bars and discos which open at midnight - 6 a.m. so all night and especially around 6, there is constant shouting/drunken screaming and fights. Also Spanish dustmen etc. etc. so if you want a quiet holiday, do not go to Fuengirola unless you too want to go to discos all night!

We thought that it was better in the Torreblanca area than the main town, we enjoyed the promenade apart from the disgusting people who let their dogs fowl and then don`t clean it up and we also didn`t enjoy being pestered by time share touts or the spanish ladies trying to push carnations for money into your hands.

Something for everyone in Fuengirola, even the children as theres a childrens play area opposite the hotel, but no facilities for children in the hotel itself.

The only downside was the stupid idiots who try to get you to do those stupid scratchcards! They must think we are thick. I saw them rejected all week.
Feel sorry for the Lookie LOokie men. No one buys anything!

plenty to see and do both in resort and surrounding areas. While we will return to Fuengirola, we want to explore the Costa del Sol more as we fell in love with it.
