The location of this hotel is the best thing about it. You go out of the front door and you're right on the beach.

The food wasn't to our taste. We ended up eating out a lot, or eating loads at lunch time to avoid having to eat much at night. Feel a bit ripped off as we had paid for half board.

The hotel staff were ok - Veronica on reception could be very grumpy. I know she was busy, but it is her job, being the first point of contact.

The cleaning staff were friendly and always busy around the hotel.

The swimming pool is far too small for the size of this hotel. There are no where near enough sun beds and what there are have to be the most uncomfortable and unsafe sunbeds I've ever encountered.

The entertainment staff work very hard and Maria is fantastic with the kids. Albert and Christopher are also great fun. The entertainment was great the first week, but became a bit repetitive the second week. However, our kids thought it was fine.

It's pretty safe to say that we won't be back to the Donaire.

The Donaire (pronounced-donnaray) Park hotels' position couldn't be bettered, literally out of the front bar patio onto the sand. It is at the very end of La Pineda, (the boundary sign is outside hotel) next to Cap Salou.
We would have given a cleaning rating of 5 except our bedroom floor was never cleaned and you could have grown spuds in the dust under the beds! Fair do's though, when we mentioned this to reception they sent a cleaner straight up.
The food was what you would expect in an hotel where several nationalities stay, there were even 50 Russians when we were there.
Staff were very pleasant in general, the barman Blas never had a smile off his face!
The hotel caters mostly for families. We went during school time to avoid kids but the hotel had lots of them.
Because of it's family orientation the entertainment was directed that way. The MC/Compare was a young Spaniard with a loud voice and a mike who thought it was good to yell `OLA' all the time. Bingo every night for 1 euro per ticket with a bottle of cheap plonk as the prize (bit of a con?)
We wouldn't visit this hotel again simply because we now like a holiday without screaming kids. We've had ours, raised them and got shut of them. Sounds awful does that but you know what we mean.
If you hire a car see the reps- I priced them on the web and in the resort but the reps prices (Europcar) were the best,

Well, we liked it so much in 2003 that we went back the year after. The place is clean, tidy and the beach is on the doorstep!
The kids absolutely loved the entertainment and the adults were hooked on bingo thanks to the enthusiasm of the entertainment bloke (David) who was brilliant. It got a bit repettative but we still loved it.
Food is great...our kids are fussy eaters but even they were happy with.
Hotel staff are always happy to help and nothing is too much trouble for them.
Best hotel we've ever stayed in!

The Hotel Donaire Park is a very nice hotel.

The pool area is great.

It is near to the all the fun places of La Pineda if anybody thinks of going I would strongly recommend it as you will have a blast with the Aqua park about 1km away. Nice flat shop walk and having the theme Park Port Aventura not far away from the hotel.

I couldn't fault this hotel. It was clean, staff were friendly and the location was superb. It is situated right on the beach and when at the pool area you have a great view. It is a 5min walk to resort centre of La Pineda but it's better going right into Salou as there is more to do.

The food was edible but was really the same thing every night. When leaving we were all given a flower which I thought was sweet (lol). The bar staff were the friendliest of all the hotel staff (if you know what I mean?)

Location of this hotel is ideal especially if you have young kids its right on a lovely little beach,my kids were kept amused for hours catching fish, baby crabs and even squid from the rocks at the side of the beach.

Its perfect for a quiet family holiday there s not much to do in the way of pubs and clubs but you have salou along the road if you fancy some noise or a larger choice of shops. There is a few places just outside of the hotel if you fancy a change, the bee s knee s was good with evening entertainment.

The hotel is kept really clean and tidy, rooms were done every day.All the staff were nice and really friendly.

Entertainment was really good too for the adults with something on every night also nightly bingo, but its the kids entertainment that i have to give the most praise, there s the kids clubs on day and night and also the hotels own people Alex,Nuria,Rene and all the others were brilliant. My kids are still doing the dance routines they were shown every night at the mini disco.

The only bad point that i have was the food,i felt that they did nt cater very well for kids and i ended up taking mine upstairs to the bar and buying them burgers and chips quite a few times when they did nt like anything in the restaurant, its also a bit repetative if you are there for a fortnight.

I would still stay here again because we all enjoyed it so much.

Wow what a good time we had here !!!!!!!!!!!!!
We really couldn't fault the hotel for anything.

This was our first family holiday outside the uk and we had the time of our lives
The hotel itself is in a premier position being right by the beach side which was enjoyable and very handy because this way you don't have to carry all your beach stuff miles and miles!

The only one downside we found (if there is one) is that the entertainment provided was a bit basic, but we did go very early in the season so that could have something to do with it.

If you like good honest filling food then this is the place to go...eat as much as you want....and we did.the only problem we found with the food was that it was the same everynight but with so much choice on the self service tables it didn't cause us any problems at all.

We will go again to the donaire park.................... Maybe we will see you there

I have been going to this hotel since i was 4 years old. now being 18. my whole family love it. the staff are so friendly. Pedro the head waiter wants to take my sister home with him every time we go. blaz is always sticking pennys to his head. the bar staff are all great. It couldnt be in a better place. Its out of the front entrance on to the sand. the pools are great just the right hight for little kids. the entertainers have gone down hill a little from when i first started going but you can find your own as its a stones throw from la pineda and salou. i havnt been here in about 2 years thought but my grandma is still going every year. and i think when ive sold the house in spain i will start going back to this amazing hotel
