Location
The hotel was extremely clean and the maids came in every day and tidied and made beds which was lovely and staff was always friendly and helpful.
The meals at the hotel was nice and always plenty of choice. The only downfall was that sometimes it wasn't always that hot, but we never came away hungry.
The location is as everyone else says, in a great place. While there we went on the First Choice trip to Barcelona (Night & Day) and we felt it was really worth the money. We also went to the reps entertainment evening and had a great time.
The entertainment at the hotel i can't really comment on as we went out at night. Also if anyone is looking for a good pub to visit for a meal try the Titanic as the food ia great and you get loads.

The hotel was spotless all round. Our room was a good size and was cleaned every day with new towels if needed. Beds were changed at least 6 times during the 2 weeks. The pool was very clean, although there were a couple of days when the water irritated my eyes. The kids both got slight earaches, but no infections.
The food was a mixture.
Breakfast was excellent, with loads of choice. Freshly cooked omlettes, pancakes and fried eggs all firm favourites. Along with all the ingredients for a full English, there were plenty of cereals, fruit, bread, cold meats and cheeses. There were even chips if you needed them!
Lunch from the pool bar was ok. The pizzas were our favourite. "Licky, Licky!"
Dinner was less appetising. The meat dishes were mainly chicken, pork or veal and the vegetables were often unrecognisable. The kids' menu was awful, and our youngest spent 2 weeks eating chips and ketchup. We only saw one variation of potato - overcooked jacket potatoes, but there was always rice and pasta. There seemed to be a pattern: Day 1 - fresh veal/pork/chicken. Day 2 - stewed veal/pork/chicken. Day 3 - curried.... get the picture? On the plus side, the food was hot (there are microwaves if required) and the chef-carved roasts and freshly cooked chicken breasts, pork and veal steaks were good. They also had freshly cooked stir frys and paellas. The salad bar was very good and the Friday night gala dinner was great if you like seafood. The puddings were very good, with 'chocolate mush' a firm favourite.
The hotel is in a great location. 10 minutes walk from the beach, good shops, 'tat' souvenir shops and, of course, PortAventura. The land train stops right outside if you don't fancy walking. It's in a quiet part of town, and there's a supermarket 5 minutes away for stocking up the fridge in the room. The supermarket even sells Weetabix, which suited our (fussy) youngest!
The staff were efficient and friendly, and a problem with our room safe was fixed 10 minutes after reporting it. They could, perhaps, do with a couple more bar staff and waiters though.
The entertainment (as last year) was woeful - OK if you like Dutch karaoke! We only saw 3 decent shows all holiday: The Polynesian show, the Magician and 'We will Rock You'. The last being spoiled by the fact that it had to be on inside due to bad weather. The Hotel's entertainment manager is great fun, and very entertaining but we didn't think they made the most of his talents. The Abba tribute band are still on every week, and are still truly awful. Perhaps next year they'll try getting 2 girls who can sing in tune! The kids' entertainment was virtually non-existent, and our kids preferred clambering all over the piles of sunbeds.
We will return to Salou, but not to this hotel. We've been twice and will try somewhere different next time. Don't let that put you off though. It's still a good family hotel in an excellent location.

The hotel was kept very clean as were the rooms, the maids were in every day to tidy up etc.
Hotel food; well let's just say, you would not go hungry! My children are picky eaters and they always got something they liked! Breakfasts were great, anything from cereals to fried breakfast. Evening meals could be improved though.
Hotel location was great, 10-15 mins walk to Portadventura and 10 mins walk to town.
Hotel staff especially bar staff were very friendly and made an effort to get to know you!
Entertainment manager was very friendly. Night time entertainment was not very good at all! They had 2 girls who 'murdered' Abba songs! They were there twice in 2 weeks!

We booked this hotel independently after reading positive reports on this web site and we wasn`t disappointed.
10 mins in a taxi from reus airport in a taxi and we were at the hotel.the location of the hotel was great,
10 min walk from port adventura and 10 min walk from the beach.
The hotel staff were efficient and friendly although their english was a bit limited. the hotel was exceptionally clean and the rooms were cleaned daily.
The pool was ideal for the kids , not to large or deep, with a good outside area and pool bar.the evening entertainment was varied and the couple doing the kids disco every night did a great job.
We had children of various ages in our party from the ages of 2 upto 15 and they all enjoyed the shows.
The hotel food was good with a great selection to choose from every night including a good carvery.
Breakfast was the same every day but all tastes where well catered for.
The beach at salou was ideal for the kids and kept in good, clean condition as was most of the resort which we visited. the port adventura theme park is more for the older kids and does get busy at weekends, but still worth a visit though.
Overall we had a great visit to a good resort and a good hotel and would definately recommend both.

On arrival we were told by some very rude receptionist we could not get to our rooms till 1.30. a 2 hour wait .
The rooms themselves were clean but small. The food in the hotel was disgusting tasteless revolting and after 2 attempts at the evening meal we resorted to eating out as kids would not eat hotel food.
The hotel entertainment was a kids disco till 10 oclock then a entertainer till 12 oclock all very poor. Salou itself was full of lunatic drivers. Very dingy pubs/restaurants. all the pubs were empty till 11 oclock ish .
The hotel has lots of different nationalities mainly Russian/Spanish/German. British were the minority and could count on one hand the British families there out of a 400 bedroom hotel.
The only good sides to the holiday is the weather was fab and Port Aventurta is superb and these 2 made up a little for Salou itself and the hotel.
