Beaches

The resort is 'right on the beach' and if you are 'all-inclusive' there is a buffet-style small restaurant/bar with lots to choose from as well as a beach-hut providing hamburgers, sandwiches and icecream.
The beach is very clean and safe for children. There is a variety of watersports and parachutes available at a reasonable cost and this proved very popular. Horse-riding is also available from the hotel stables.
The hotel pool also has two bars to choose from and snacks and icecream are available there also.
I thought this hotel represented excellent value for money, and would definitely visit it again.

Nice resort but the Tunisians always ask for money and hassle you all the time to buy from them. Beaches are very crowded although kept clean. Plenty of places to eat and drink.

This could be a nice resort with lot of attention on what tourist expect to find and for what they have paid for.

There was enough to do in the resort. A 10 minute walk from the hotel brought you into an area with a few fixed priced shops, british bars and a few restaurants. Ideal resort for the family who like a fairly 'normal' holiday.
Watch out for the gypsy boys who try to give you a flower. They then demand money from you, some people we got talking to had their wallets pinched as they went to pay them. Just say a very very firm no!
The beach was lovely and clean with various watersports that were a lot cheaper than any other country I've been to.

Hammamet is very clean and plenty of things to do. Taxis very cheap and the best way to travel around to various medinas and nabeul market on a friday. hammemmet yasmine medina is slightly more expensive than hammamet medina because it is in a more expensive area and is purpose built.
Plenty of bars and clubs
Beaches are fantastic and very clean plenty of sunbeds available and nice staff on the beach bars.
Would highly recommend apart.

The resort of Hammamet itself seemed fairly nice - although because of the isolated location of our hotel - we didnt really see much of it.
In fact - we spent most of the time we went out in Yasmine Hammamet which has a good selection of restaurants and bars.
We did enjoy a visit to Carthage Land and to to the pubs around Bel Air hotel. The resorts distance from the airport is a major problem for us - nearly 3 hours is far too long.
We were very dispointed in our holiday, especially our treatment by Thomson.
We would go on holiday to Tunisia again - but definitely NOT with Thomson or to Hammamet.
Maybe next time we book a holiday to Port El Kantoui - we'll actually be allowed to go!

Resort was very clean apart from the smell of sewage, the staff after a few days of complaints did start to clean up the mess but the heat made the smell more intense.
The beach was fab, the sea was the best i've ever seen, the beach staff was fab and if it was'nt for the locals wanting to earn a few bob we would'nt have had our frozen water that lasted all day, fresh fruit to keep the kids going and the English paper that we could'nt get anywhere.

Hammamet was the perfect place for us to stay. The shopping was great fun, the people were friendly and the food was totally fine. Everything is amazingly cheap, take an extra case with you for your return journey!!

Resort seemed clean in that there wasn't much evidence of litter. There was alot of air and noise pollution from the noisy, gridlocked traffic. Thre are no bars for tourists outside the hotels nor any street cafes. there were a couple of dire looking male only drinking establishments for the locals. Remember that Tunisia is a Muslim country (although benign) and alcohol for the locals is generally frowned upon. So you won't find pubs and cafes like you do in most resorts. However the good thing is that there is no drunkeness or bad behaviour. We were here 10 years ago and the big change is that nowadays most of the tourists are from other Arab countries - mostly Algeria and from Eastern Europe - and most of those that we met were non-alcohol drinking Muslims themselves. Western tourists now seem to be in the minority so this really is a holiday with a difference and the weather is superb. One really interesting thing is how at night, in the dark, local families flock to the beach with their picnic tables and chairs, blankets and cool boxes. While the adults sit around and talk, the kids play football, tennis etc. Not for them summer nights stuick in front of the telly and hanging around street corners. Yes it seems bizarre, but it is fantastic to see the big emphasis put on the family unit. Hotel beach was sandy but rather dirty with little effort made to clean up the rubbish dumped by other tourists. Also, many of the sun loungers were broken although on the upside they were free to hotel guests. A big effort needs to be made to clean the place up.

The beach is excellent. Give the beach boy 5 TUD a day (£2.40) and he will save you 4 chairs at the best spots
