The resort was rubbish-sorry but the Azur complex is all that is there-be warned! Hammamet was a dump-in need of a good clean and road repairs. The driving was awful-every man for himself-no highway code there.
The houses were half built-no roofs e.t.c. The men lazed around in cafes all day-these cafes were not for the tourists.
Basically we had the feeling that this was their town and the locals did not want you in their town.
We did visit Yasmin Hammamet down the coast and this is a specific holiday resort. A bit artificial but very modern.
We would go back to Tunisia again-but never to Hammamet ever again!!!
The only good thing about Hammamet was the beach.

If you love cats then this is your place, they overrun the grounds and often scamper into the dinning room. We had the table dividers removed from the dinning room as the cat's had used the flower pots in them as litter trays, not a pleasent smell when you are eating.
There are no kettles in the room so don't forget to take a travel kettle. The water is so chlorinated that you think you are drinking the water from the swiming pool.
The majority of holiday makers here were Russians, they seemed very load and didn't like to queue at any time. Brush up on your French as this helps a great deal, all the locals use this as a second language.
All in all we will not come back to either the hotel or the resort again, sad but true.

Yasmine Hammamet

Quiet and modern, yet with a touch of character. Beach looked messy, but it had been windy for a few days, so various bits of flotsam and jetsam were lying around. Shops very interesting, Medina even more so… Didn’t stray to far from the hotel as we spent most days relaxing by the pool.

Long transfer journey from airport though.

Can’t wait to go again though…

The resort was clean but lacked things to do of a night you had to take a taxi into hammamet for any night life. The beach was good but you got bugged by people selling anything and everything. They wouldn't take no for an answer and hotel security turned a blind eye.

The resort was something you see off the posters in your local sunbed shop that you don’t actually think exist. But the resort was spotlessly clean, swimming pool was beautiful.

Beach..... Well what can I say breathtaking especially at sunset. Such an amazing place to be what ever mood you’re in.

Beach area great, lots of shade if required. Sea warm and clean. We did not get too much hastle from the shop keepers a firm 'No thank you'is all that is necessary. There is no such thing as just looking. Taxi's are very reliable and cheap. We loved it and would go back any time.
