Just arrived back from a 14 day stay at the Kenz, and have to say, a wonderful holiday was had by all.

On arrival, the entrance to the hotel is most impressive, and a courteous doorman is at hand to take your bags to your room, which is welcome after the long flight from Manchester.

The staff are polite and efficient, the food, I can say without hesitation, is the best we've ever eaten at a buffet hotel restaurant, and the two a la carte restaurants were both excellent, though as has already been said, it really is best to book at the earliest opportunity. We booked the day after we arrived and had to fit our four visits there in to 6 days at the end of the holiday!

The location of the hotel was fine, perhaps a little too far out to be described as 'perfect', though the availability of the cheap local taxi's right outside the hotel gates was enough to make this fact irrelevant.

The decor of the hotel is oppulent, though talking to guests who have stayed here previously, the general consensus of opinion was that some of the furnishings, and the hotel in general, were looking a little tired, though I would say this wasn't evident enough to make a huge impact on our holiday.

Overall, I would say this was a great hotel, well worth its 4-stars, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to any potential visitors to Tunisia.

Very good Hotel in my opinion looks good in a very nice setting. The staff are some of the friendliest I have come across and can't do enough for you. Food was good too and varied.

Two large pools and plenty of beds although I would expect there would be a bit of a scramble for them high season. As someone else said the location isn't the best but for 3 or 4 dinars you are in the main Port area of P.E.K.

You can of course walk it but this will take you anything between 30 Min's to an hour depending on age, fitness etc. 200 yds or so to the beach which looks fantastic with some of the cleanest sand I have seen.

The hotel has it's own beach bar which was OK but didn't sell food. Rooms are of a good size with everything you need. As others have said book as soon as you arrive for the French and Italian restaurants, well worth it.

We arrived at the Royal Kenz 11.30 p.m. and were given a room which had an awful view from the balcony. We asked to be moved but were told no other rooms would be availabe until Wednesday p.m. If you are given any rooms on the row of lll, ll5, ll7, ll9 and 121 you should look at them before accepting because there is no view. Our holiday really began when we got a new room which faced the main road and the side of the hotel.

You really cannot fault the staff, food and cleanliness of the hotel and we would recommend it to anyone. The two al a carte restaurants' are well worth booking. You need to book them as soon as you arrive to avoid disappointment. We had four very enjoyable evenings being waited on. You just pay for your drinks.

We used the yellow taxis outside the hotel which are cheap and readily available. We only went to the mariner in the evening as there is nowhere much to go at night. You need to ask how much the fare will be before you get in a taxi.

This is the second time we have been to this hotel and nothing has changed it is still fantastic value (see last years review). Non of the prices in the bars or for food appears to have changed since last year!! The staff are cleaning all the time. The rooms are always well looked after. The food is good and there is plenty of choice. The staff in the bars etc. are friendly and the entertainment was good. The beach bar is still excellent and the snack bar at the hotel is very good for lunch, the service has improved on last year. All in all it was a lovely relaxing holiday with a friendly atmosphere. I would recommend it to anybody!!

We stayed in the Royal Kenz hotel for 1 week in July 06 and found the hotel to be excellent. The hotel and grounds are stunning as is the beach although the brochures have the distance from hotel to beach completely wrong. It's more like 650 yards to the beach.

The 2 pools are superb and the waiter service for drinks around the pool is first class. Food is excellent and all the staff are very friendly. The management at this hotel are obviously on the ball and keep every other employee the same.

We are going back next July for 2 weeks, it really is excellent.

My husband returned yesterday from a week at the Royal Kenz hotel. It was really lovely, very relaxing. The hotel is nicely laid out and very clean.

The staff seem to be cleaning and polishing the whole time. All staff we came into contact with were really polite and helpful.

The food was good, although perhaps not the best we have ever had, but good enough for a week's stay. The location of the hotel was ideal for us, not in the town centre, however, the 30 or 40 minute walk along the beach to the marina was too much for us in the heat so we opted for a quick taxi ride instead!!

The entertainment around the pool during the day was great fun, both getting involved and just watching, however, the evening entertainment had great scope for improvement.

Overall, a lovely relaxing holiday and well worth the money. Would recommend it definitely.

Have just returned from a two week stay at this hotel. This was everything I had expected. The hotel was very clean and well furnished. We stayed in a Standard room, which was very good. A fridge and air conditioning was included. The maid service was 1st class, as was the whole hotel very clean, inside and out.

I food was very good. Plenty of choice, including a good range of non meat dishes. Some dishes cooked to order. Snack bar at lunch time was very good value for money.

Supermarket on site sold all you needed, again at very good prices.

The hote was easy to get around, especially for those with walking difficulties or in a wheelchair.

Overall a very good holiday, will certainly go back again. Highly recomended.

Hotel Royal Kenz

Terrific friendly hotel went there due to the reviews I've read on this site and I was'nt let down. Can't wait to go back.

Sahara trip was ok--bit long on the bus--not in the least bit suitable for kids.
