We picked this hotel because it seemed to be one of the best all inclusive 2 week deals i've ever come across. It really really was amazing value for money.
The food was excellent, a wide variety every day. Sure... if your fussy you might moan that the baked beans are slightly more similar to kidney beans, but really.. where the food was concerned there isn't much to complain about..:) You could line up for omlettes cooked right infront of you.. or freshly made crepes and choco sauce... mmmmm. Pizza Stations, Salad stations, desert stations, meat and chips & EVERYTHING.. and ... well.. you get the picture..
The Hotel cleanliness was standard. The main entrance is kept very clean, (marble cleaned everyday) along with the pool and all the bars.
I had a little trouble with my maid however, and got slightly irritated that they 'EXPECT' tips. ( I hugely advise ONLY tipping at the end...)
The entertainment was watchable.. (if you know what i mean) .. it was very low budget but turned out to be good fun most nights.. the entertainment team were great.. and all worked really hard to ensure that everyone had a great holiday...
I miss the bar staff so much.. and the little man that gets your sunbed's for you... all the staff were really accomodating, i'd definitaly like to go back again soon and say hi...
If you are fussy however.. and arn't prepared to have anything to get in the way opf ruining your holiday... then get ready for the following:
- Water: If you are all inclusive- you are only allowed bottles of 'GAS' water. Not Still. (Still water in plastic cups only)
- Bar: 2 Drinks at a time
- Waitors: DO NOT WAIT ON YOU if ALL INCLUSIVE... give them a hefty tip and they are your best friend
- Half Board priority- If you are half board you get given priority over the all inclusive.. the waitors hang around to try and get tips...
- Maids (EXPECT TIPS)
- English People are OUTNUMBERED LARGELY.. Russian, French, Czech, Italian... however.. the english people tend to stick together.. we met some amazing people out their.. a family of 10 from leeeds, a family who live really near us, and a couple of young guys from yorkshire and liverpool.. (It really did give us a chance to make friends...)
Dining Room: DESIGNATED TABLES.. (very annoying some nights.. NO AIR CON... AHH!
If i think of anything else.. i'll type it out.. But Please guys.. all the annoying things can be worked around.. buy a card if your all inclusive to buy water on..... Please go to the Marhaba Hotel.. it has so much to offer..!!

No need. The public areas are clean and well maintained, the pool is great with 3 water slides and a good mix of shallow and deep water, young kids pool with their own slide. The beach is infront of the hotel and is soft white sand with a gentle slope into the sea.
The room are a bit "tatty" with cracked and chipped floor tiles but they are immaculately clean and are serviced every day. Most rooms overlook the pool and/or sea. Request an upper floor for the best views and to avoid the crawlies!!
The waiting staff at the bar and restaurant are friendly and helpful and - yes - they love to be tipped! Just like they do in the UK really! I would agree that tipping at the end is best except for the pool attendant. Tip him a dinar or 2 (50p -

staff seemed very happy to help, even letting us move rooms for a better view over the lovely pool and gardens and right out to sea.
The entertainment was dire and the entertainment team were more than a little smarmy.
very little information (hotel, travel, local area)
hotel has a no cash policy, you need to get a card from reception (5 dinar diposit) and charge it with cash. good idea but would have liked to be told rather than getting to the beach only to be told i needed a card..get card..back to beach...told to go back to bar at the pool to pay for sunbed and towel...back to beach with ticket...told that he only does sunbed have to go back to poolside for towel!!!....aaaaahhhhh. Just put some signs up, it's that simple....

This hotel is good for the price you pay. I mean you can go self catering or half board, full board and all inclusive.Either ways its rather good value for money.
The Cleanliness of the hotel was very good. The maid service was everyday. the towels got changed everyday the bed everyday too. She would even fold our clothes neatly if they was on the chair frm the night before. Marajia Our maid was for the whole 2 weeks. She had a nice Tip at the end of our stay. Funnily enoguh she even remembered us the next time we went.
If you like Eggs then you will be fine. What was on offer for breakfast i would have had for my dinner or tea. Fish, Rice pudding, Salads, Chicken, The only thing wrong with it that there was nothing for english people. And if you like german sausages with a spicey taste then you and the food will get on fine. Personally i think the food was descusting. I survived on one meal a day which i payed for around the pool. Which was very nice. About 3 dinars for chicken nuggets and chips. Very cheap i think.
The location of this hotel is really good. Its in the middle of everything and only a 2 minute walk passed the pool and down through the gardens to the beach. Taxi's are also cheap about 3 dinar to the madina.
Hotel staff are very friendly. and they will help you in anyway they can. Mostly are out for the tips but usually 50p would cover the help sucha as suit cases being taken to the room.
The Entertainment is amazing. In the nights the Shows are mainly Audience participation appart from a fakir show and fire spitting, belly dancing and they even did irish dancing. The mini disco was a blast with the adults and children. Half hour of fun. After a show like Miss Marhaba or Mr Marhaba they put on the club dances. bomba, Mueva La Colita and pipipipippipip. Great times they are.

The food in the hotel is good, but still needs a little more thought into the variety on the menu. We love the location of this hotel as it is close to everything, plus there's a small shop at the entrance to the hotel which is open almost all night.
Again this year the staff were great, the waiter Zubar is just the nicest man ever. He remembers us every year and had a table set up for us every night right infront of the stage so we had the best view of the shows.
The entertainment team this year were great. They arrived at the hotel 4 days before we left last year, after a disaster with 2 entertainment teams last year. Don't get me wrong the shows still need a little work, but you can see how hard they all try to do the best they can. And to be honest the shows were actually quite funny. Abdu, Angel, Joe, Simo, Mimo & Alex (bibo) were great, they played football with our son almost every day and really made our holiday a good laugh.
We are hoping to return again very soon.
