Did not like local market you were pressured into looking at their goods. We felt a bit wary walking through it. Otherwise very nice. However got taxi to Port El Kantoui which was beautiful.

Sousse is a lively town, lots of cafe bars, shops and numerous smart hotels. Less than in an English town however, there were a few derelict areas. Unlike Britain, they wash the streets.
I cannot comment too much on the beach because I visited it at Christmas which was not beach weather.
You can visit all the hotels for entertainment which is why I have put 5.

We found Sousse a wonderful place, all the people very welcoming and pleasant. No hassle whatsoever. Very laid back. I much preferred it to Port El Kantoui, which was undoubtedly beautiful, but man-made. Sousse much more Tunisian, felt more like real Tunisia.

This being the first time we had been tunisia we cant really comment on the other resorts, but sousse was an excellent place to visit , it was clean the locals where friendly and helpful . the beaches in Sousse are fantastic, white sand and blue seas , that are kept clean all day long .

the resort itself was neat but an eggy smell hung constantly in the air, i think from a local powerstation situated near by (this created no other harm).
The area was great but had nothing to offer, although only a short journey to sousse or port el kantoui. I personally liked the fact i could return to peace and tranquility. The beach was by far the best i saw although i wasn't liked by the jellyfish. on return i'd like to stay at port el kantoui but the hotel and tunisia on a whole were amazing.

The beach is on the doorstep and is always kept very clean. Each hotel has its own area with umbrellas. Over the years we have got to know 'Steve' who looks after the beach loungers and who looks after us very well too.
Try to visit the Casino in Sousse within walking distance and do go into the Medina and do some haggling! Tunisians are lovely people - we'd live there if we could!!

the hotel is not far away from sousse and is quite a nice walk which you can do along the beach if you like but if you would rather get a cab then there is always plenty at the main gates and will cost you about 1.50 (3 dinars).
The madina in sousse can be quite a busy place to walk around and great if you enjoy a haggle but if it gets too much a firm no thank you should do the trick.
There ars plenty of trips you can run by the travel agents youcan book in the hotel but if you want to see tunisia hire one of the local taxi drivers for the day you can agree on a price and you cant get a better guide and they will stay with you all day if you wish.

This hotel is in a great spot only a garden away from the beach!!! the beaches are clean and so are the outdoor pool thank you holly pidgeon
Sousse was a very hustle bustle type of place, but where all the main hotels were it was quite and peaceful. We never saw much resort entertainment as we were happy with what the hotel laid on for us. The beach was swept every morning, you did get a bit of hassle with people trying to sell you stuff from cigarettes to cashews, but we just said no politely and they soon left. We would go back tomorrow if we could. We also recommend this resort to all our friends.
