Beaches

The resort itself was clean, however if you ventured down any of the back streets there was quite a bit of rubbish.
However the resort was great, after visiting other resorts on the train im glad we choose Sousse. The resort did not have a huge array of entertainment, however there was enough there for a 2 week stay. The beaches were clean.
I would def visit this resort again.

Resort was very nice, everything was within walking distance. To walk one end of Sousse to the other it takes about 45 minutes at a slow stroll! Area also seemed clean enough!

sousse is very central for making visits to other parts of tunesia either way, the beach is lovely and the town itself is very busy, it was nice to walk the streets at night side by side with the local people without encounting any aggresive behavour like in other resorts

Resort was as to be expected really nothing to write about.
If your looking for nightlife there is not alot its all hotel based with entertainment. Its ok but we wanted some clubs & there were a few descent ones but people only start arriving at 1am? There are no bars here?
Beach standards are ok certain beaches have different activities some have none.
I will not be returning here again. I couldnt wait to get home...

Beautiful gardens to walk around during day or at night.
Beach was lovely with warm sea, be aware of cheap cigarette sellers on beach! They soon get the message though!
Entertainment in resort was excellent.

The hotel was like a resort in itself, with outside shops and cafes. The only thing I found off putting was trying to eat a nice lunch, with the head waiter shooing away prowling cats.
The beach was fantastic, safe, clean and free sunbeds.
We will definately return this year.

I believe the resort to be as a whole fairly good, be carefull of shops of the beaten track as they tend to attract you with their staff with a friendly handshake and aslamma!(hello) then you will be led into a shop for the HARD sale for 1/2 hour. Also be carefull not to be also accosted by the beach salesmen in sousse as they can be very aggresive and if you dont offer money, they may even remove your sunglasses as payment or check your wallets (not good given the idea of a relaxing stress free holiday really).

Overall though the holiday was good, especially Bonepartes restaurant and late night club downstairs, across the road from the hotel entrance.
Also i recommend a visit to the Rose & Crown pub and also the Bistro for a chilled drink without hastle, both located in the shopping centre out of the back of the hotel.

Forget it. This area is like the Gaza Strip circa 1982

We only went to Sousse once and Monastir once. Sousse's Medina is typical - lots of shops with pushy aggressive salesmen trying to sell you everything from carpets to copy ciggies. The medina itself is dirty - watch out for the rats - both live AND dead ones!
Monastir has a good market on Saturday mornings. The way it is arranged means that if you don't want to buy, you CAN walk away - the stallholder won't follow you as he can't leave his stall unattended!
The beach is great; soft white sand, plenty of sports - ringos, bananas, jetskis, pedaloes, canoes, parascending waterskiing.
