Sousse is a longish walk or a cheap taxi ride away and is interesting. Purchase wise, unless you want a wooden or stuffed camel, there is little else to buy as far a souveniers go so you will probably bring money back home.
You will get hassled by all shop keepers as you walk past their stuffed camel display and fake tee shirts in the Medina, but it is all in good jest. The Sunday market was not worth going to for us as it was almost impossible to push a pram through the crowds and the stuff there was the same as in the shops or what looked like second hand clothing.
Food outside the hotel is nice but is all similar, pizzas, grilled meats etc so We'd recomend going half board or the food really will get repetitive.
Port El Kantaui is a nice place to visit as well and you get hassled less by the shop keepers.

The Resort was wonderful. It was clean to the point that I took off my sandals while out walking some of the time.
We didn't do the entertainment scene because it just wasn't for us but to be honest, we didn't need it. There was enough things for us to do. The beach was lovely. We got a lot of laughs with some of the locals and their wares at the beach.

Night life seemed to consist of sitting on the wall along the beach.
Can catch the fake-train to Port El-Kantoui for more restaurants, bars etc. Lots of bars only seem to do drinks and snacks perhaps because most hotels are half/full board or all inc.

The resort was great with lots of shops and resturants, we even went to a football match, a brilliant experience with a real carnival atmospher.

The Resort was very good, specially the swimming pool and indeed the beach area, and the small resturant at the beach.
May be there should be more play area for Children eg swings, slides, etc. Also, the evening entertainment, too little, too late for the childreen. May be just for kids 8.00pm to 10.00pm entertainment. Thereafter for adults.

The Sindbad is positioned right next to the main road to Port El Kantoui, so it was never very quiet. However, it was a quick walk to the beach, half an hour walk to the marina but if needs be it was really easy to catch a cheap taxi (hold onto your hats though, they drive like maniacs in Tunisia!!!). Personally, I think if we ever went back we would stay nearer to Port El kantoui, we loved it there, although slightly more touristy.
The beaches were ok, nothing to write home about, loads of seaweed!
Definetly go on the two day excursion to the sahara, you will never forget it. Riding a camel in the desert as the sun goes down! However, expect early starts.
We found some lovely restaurants serving a veriety of english, french and tunisian dishes in the square opposite the marina, it has a lovely light and water show in the evening.
Last but not least go to the medina in Sousse, not everyone would enjoy it, you have to haggle your way around but it is an amazing experience. I will never forget the smells of all of the spices. Its brill, take loads of cash you will spend it all!
We fell in love with tunisia it is just such a lovely country with so much to see and do. We will definetly be going again.

This must be the filthiest place I have ever stayed in. Table cloths in cafes and restaurants are stained and never changed, the whole place needs a good clean. It resembles a land fill site with hotels and houses built on top of it and that applies to the whole country. The entertainment is all hotel based, there are one or two bars (you need to travel into sousse town to find these)that have a scattering of people in them and the music is from the dark ages or very bad karaoke. The beach is quite nice and a lovely breeze blows for most of the day to keep you cool and top up your tan, but beware, you are pestered for most of the day with young boys selling fruit and nuts, men selling rugs, and day trips for camel rides, para-gilding etc. I certainly wouldn't be rushing back to this place.

Beach could be better, cigarettes butts and bottle tops on the beach, perhaps the holidaymakers could put them in ash trays, a radical idea I know

The beach was great - right next to the hotel it takes less than 2 minutes to get there. The sand was lovely and there wasn't a stone in sight! It was a great way to cool off because there was a slight breeze on the shore. There was also plenty of watersports to keep you busy.
The only negative thing was that you get asked to buy palm trees and rugs etc along the beach but most of the time if you just say no they get the message and leave you alone! It didn't ruin the holiday in the slightest and most of them were really friendly and started chatting to you even if you didn't want to buy anything.
I would DEFINATELY visit again - it was absolutely fantastic. I loved everythng about it.
