The resort in the best with lots of street shops there is lots of bars to try the best one is the ROOF TOP BAR or LINEKERS BAR were martin or hussan (blues brothers) will look after you (oppersite the orion hotel) LONG LIVE ALTINKUM

Altinkum is fantastic with regards to everything. Bars, clubs, restaurants etc for all ages all serving a variety of Turkish and English dishes and drinks. All beaches in Altinkum are very clean and safe.

I love Altinkum, yes it loud but you know that before you go so what's the problem?
The resort has a lot of brilliant places to eat and some fab bars, the night life is great and it's good for kids.
The beaches are clean the shopping is cheap cheap cheap.
I will go every year, this is my third trip and it gets better every time, the people recognise you and were very polite and helpful.

Resort has the balance of beach, shopping, nightlife, restaurants and entertainment on tap. Choices abound for all sorts of summer living and entertaining. Three good beaches to chose locally and fabulous nightclub, Medusa. Just get there........

The coast road is clean but there is a lot of building and construction work going on around the resort so many roads are stoney, and properties unfinished - sometimes construction work commences at 7am so noise could interupt sleep. Some areas have a build up of litter.
There are lots of restaraunts and bars with good service and good food but beware you will get hassled everywhere because they work on a commission basis. Just say no to them and find the ones that you like the look of.
One restaraunt called the Victoria Restaraunt - they work wonders with the food and are quite entertaining.
The local nightclub was a joy to visit - very clean and tight security.
All 3 Beaches are very poor, they are very Stoney as is the sea so I suggest you wear shoes, however, you can get boat trips out which are worth the money.
Many hotel pools are tiny too so shop around - The Meryem ana hotel had a decent sized pool.

The entertainment in altinkum was good, there are plenty of bars, but they could do with a few more english clubs.When i went it was during the england v portugal game and every bar had the game on, some even had big screens in their bars.The beach is top quality, and very clean. Sun beds and umbrellas are available to hire and the sea is clean and clear. It was my second time in Altinkum, and I would go again.

Altinkum is great. I recommend going on one of the cruises, go straigh to the boats on Didim beach, dont book through rep.
Also go to Altinkum Restaurant on Didim beach and ask for Hakan, say James sent you. Food is great and the staff are brilliant.

I really enjoyed this resort, although when we first reached the outside of altinkum it was surronded by derelict buildings. But as we reached the main part of the resort it looked very nice and the beaches looked stunning. The sea was beautiful and we couldnt wait to take a dip. We also went to 3rd beach and that was gorgous too.During our 2 weeks we went on two boat trips where we hired private boats as there was alot of us. Both of these trips were really good and we had alot of fun, also going on the watersports that were available. Durig these trips, we stopped at a few places for lunch and for swimming where we went snorkelling.
Restuarants,bars and clubs fill the sea front and the lights look amazing at night. All are free to get in and the drinks inside was good for the money. We had alot of late nights which we enjoyed alot. Altinkum was very clean and kept upto a high standard. I would like to go back to altinkum in the future because it was really nice there and all we needed for a great holiday. Also we met alot of new friends.

Altinkum is a lovely resort, plenty of shops, Restaurants, Especially the Shady Nook and the Blue Rose. The beaches (three) are all lovely and well cared for.
I would definately go back to Altinkum in fact we are thinking of buying a little house there we loved it so much.
