all the brochures say altinkum is a quiet family resort...i found it to be whatever you wanted it to be...if you want it lively, there a loads of bars and restaurants, or if you prefered a quieter time, then there are numerous bars where you can just chat and chill...the beaches are very clean and sandy, the water is shallow and clear, and also there are the water sports(ringo's, jetski's etc). there is alot of building of apartments and houses but this is not intrusive on the resort

plenty of bar and resturants, entertainment fine if you like young guys dancing and pawing over your wife.
just keep walking past the bars and resturants unless you like the look of them or you'll be talked into going in.

altinkum is a very busy little place, but plenty of places to find something different to eat every night,
the beaches were clean, the beach patrol or deck-chair man
were friendly, and helpful, if you needed shade or a sun-bed,we had no problems with travel, the local dolmas(buses)
were very cheap and clean.

Because the Tropicano Didim Beach Resort Hotel was not a five (5) star resort as sold to us we spent plenty of time in Altinkum.
Altinkum is a pleasant resort with lots of shops and bars. The atmosphere seemed ok and it appeared safe as well.
Places to eat would be 'Big Ben' or 'Valentino's'. At both places we had very nice meals.
The views are superb across the sea and the weather was dry and hot too.
A word of warning, recently, whilst we were on holiday there were several earth tremors so be careful! Also eight (8) people were shot dead in one of the apartments! Something to think about!

There is lots of things to do like go to the fair...in which most turkish people go to so it is good! Dolphin square is amazing on a night time ...full of atmoshere and parties...but don't worry if you're not into that the hotel is situated a while away from this and you can't hear any noise. The beaches are lovely but the main beach gets a bit crowded a lot so I recomend you to go to the third beach...it doesn't get that crowded and they have there own restaurant which is very nice.

The resort was REALLY nice!
The entertainment was good expecially in the Swan Bar and The Dolphin Square Bar!!The people who worked there where friendly and i have to say i fell in love with Michael from the Swan Bar he is REALLY nice and I LOVE HIM TO BITS!!
The beach was ok but i prefered in by the pool! The beach had more people on it and you would struggle to find somewhere to sit!!
I WILL go there again you can count on me!! I'm coming to live there in two year!!

altinkum is a friendly quiet place, but if you take a 5 min walk into dolphin square, you will find lots of shops and resturants, we ate out most nights and found the food and the service to be excellent, the prices are reasonable aswell. the nicest beach to visit is the 3rd beach, there is a minibus service that collects you from the esra and will take you home again free of charge. there is a lovely resturant on the beach where you can grab some lunch.
the only thing we found about the beach was it could become crowded at times, but the water is shallow and good for the kids. we are hoping to return to altinkum as soon as we can!!

great resort with loads to do.we had two weeks and didn't see half of it.very clean, and with three beaches and hundreds of bars and restaurants you can't go wrong.the only downside for me was the hassling by the staff to get you in their place.funfair for kids or big kids and don't forget the boat trip,it's a must.

there is alot of entertainment in this resort however too much male attention for females to be able to go out and enjoy themselves without being annoyed all the time. The beach was very clean.

Altinkum, is Blackpool to the Turks. They were there in their thousands.
We paid for sun loungers they came and lay towels right next to you on the beach. It was like Benidorm. You could not walk on the beach without walking into someone.
It was awful!
