resort cleanliness was average but i noticed the sea was looking a bit worse for wear.
The entertainment was excrutiatingly tacky with all the things you would expect from a resort catering for English.
The beach was very small to accomadate so many people was impossible.

The approach to Altinkum is appalling. Its the shock of going from the glorious beauty of the Turkish countryside into a slum. But after you have passed this waste land the resort itself is modern, paved and developing. The seafront itself is pleasant, has a safe beach with Coastguards. The sand however is quite untidy and at closer inspection contains countless thousands of cigeratte ends.
The sea is clear and blue, the weather in September was perfect without a cloud in the sky and the sunbeds were less than £1 per day for hire.
Plenty of Restaurants offering good food at a cheap price.

Altinkum was a pleasant surprise having not visited Turkey before i didn't know what to expect. The bars and restaurants we visited were of a good standard. The turkish people are really friendly and make you feel welcome. The beach is perfect and the views spectacular. The little buses that run every few minutes are a great convienience. Alot of the bars and restaurants have their own free buses which will pick you up and drop you off more or less anywhere. Really liked this resort. Certainly worth a visit.

Have only been to Altinkum in May and September of this year(2004) In fact these were my first visits to Turkey after visting Rhodes and Spain. I think Altinkum will be the only place I visit for the next couple of years

We both loved Altinkum, it has a lovely beach & the sea is calm and safe. There are so many restaurants & bars that there is something to cater for all tastes. We especially enjoyed the Diana, the Grand & Dolunay restaurants & Kiss Bar & Egge Bar. We will definitely go to Altinkum again as we only managed to scratch the surface of it this time.

Altinkum its self is the cleanist place i've been to. The turkish culture is great espcially the gorgeous waiters. The are very charming. The beachs are very cleans and the sea is most often clear. The enterainment is fab from the break dancers to the belly dancers, you never find your self board your always up doing something. The boat trips are the best things to go on. Once you go there you are totally relaxed and you will never go any where else for your holidays again, promise.

A very clean and well looked after resort. Lovely beaches, clean and safe. Restaurants are plentifull, offering excellently priced food. If you have'nt done so before, try the Turkish food. It is truly delicious. Preferred dolphin square before the renovation, as it was nice to browse in the little shops during an evening stroll. I will be returning once again this summer.

The whole of Altinkum was clean the beaches, the restaurants, everywhere. There was no problem with litter.
Most places had entertainment even if it was only the staff in that particular place dancing.
We all loved every minute of our holiday and all 9 of us will be going back this year.

Altinkum. Best holiday ever. Tried different countries but had to give up trying. The resort is friendly and fun. Made loads of friends who do keep in contact

Altinkum is a growing resort - very cheap, sun all the time.
Market in Altinkum is great and lots of bargins to be found - we came back with an extra suitcase of things.
A trip to Ephesus is a must!
The only down side to the resort is the constant harassment from people trying to get you to eat in the resturant. It would be nice to walk along beach area or Dolphin sqaure area in peace.
Dolmus transport is cheap and a definet experience! Turkish driving leaves alot to be desired
