Altinkum has nice clean beach, promenade is pedestrianised.
Lots of shops.

Too many people trying to get you in there shops and bars too much pressure on you when u just want to walk down the street. Resort doesn't have much too offer.

The resort was a very nice place to stay and I loved it. The night life was very good and I will be returning next year for my family holiday.

Altiknum is very lively and upbeat although you do have to beat off the people trying to drag you into the bars and restaurants they are very friendly but it does get a bit annoying after a while.
The town is about 15mins or so to walk and it can be a nice walk if your not wearing high heals as there is no paths and can be a bit dark on your way home or there is the dolmus that run all the time. We used to walk to the town after dinner then get the dolmus back.
There are lots of shops your usual fake sports stuff , trainers, jewelly and stuff, we got loads of stuff for the kids and since we have got home it all washes fine nothing has shrunk in the wash so its worth getting a bargain.
All in all we had a great time and met some lovely people and thoroughly reccommend this place.

Altinkum is more like Blackpool than Blackpool, bingo, quiz nights,karaoke,English food listed in English currency.Dull uninspiring resort, dirty, dusty , pushy waiters ,400 estate agents, rip off prices for beer and food.
Beaches very seldom cleaned, full of noisy dogs during the late evening and early morning.Everyone wants a tip for something or nothing.
Its cheaper to eat Turkish food at Efes in Manchester !!
Running the gauntlet was okay for one or two nights, but became less amusing as the week went on, they simply line up at every restaraunt, even though they know that you are not going to eat there.
They all hand out leaflets, which is rather pointless as none list any prices.
Avoid the Diana...the food was rubbish.
Sea Star was good food.
Try "Your Choice" for friendly staff and great food, and the "Ibos"( Aybosh )likewise.
Dolphin Square is laughable,overly loud bars with pushy staff,drinks at over inflated prices.
Cocktails, most definately watered down.
Egotistical dancing waiters who did not look too happy if people joined in.
Children selling toys, women selling roses all the time.
Marmaris and Icmler are a far better choice of destination for first time visitors as long as you travel with the mainstream companies.
Any trips, avoid your reps and book locally with Love Tour or Croetus.

The resort was beautiful, very clean and the people incuding the locals were also very friendly. The medussa bar in Altinkum is great, the market was also a day to remember, extremely cheap brand named clothing and bags, bought so much for so little! I visited the beach on few occasions but everytime it was a good experience, very clean. i am deffinately visiting the resort again.

Beatiful beach but the harrassing from the owners of the shops and resterauts were just too much to stand. It ruined the holiday as we were afraid to walk anywere because of everyone trying to get us to buy something.

We have been to Altinkum twice now and we love it, the beach is very safe and the water is shallow.
Excellent for children lots of restaurants and bars very livley and entertaining a big shout to the ege bar in dolphine square the breakdancers are fab. We ate at the summer gardens last year which was excellent but all the staff and chef have now moved next door to the Victoria and the food is still excellent. Sunday dinner is a must hello to happychappy and kermit and a big hello to tommy cooper at the bag shop good luck with the baby.
We have made some brill friends at this resort and keep in contact by email its small friendly and yes you do get a bit of hassel but hey dont go to turkey because thats what its all about its fun!
You have to remember the guys at the bars and restaurants are on commision only and when the resort closes down they have to save all thier tips and money to take back home and last them through the winter months so give them a break. Altinkum is a very up and comming resort especially for the young and me my husband and 2 girls love it!!!!!!!!!!

the resort is great.. you do get hassled but we have been going for over a year now so they know us and dont hasle us anymore.. or just tell them that u have already eaten or you are full board and they should leave you alone we tryed it and it does actually work.. the night life is great too you have various bars that you should visit but when you are drunk dont forget too hush hush when going back to your room..

Altinkum is a laid back resort (everything is later). There are plenty of bars to visit. There is a new water park opened just up the road witch all hotels and tour offices will book for you. Pubs have their own dancers on nightly. There are boat trips daily and a carnival up the top end of the resort. Been going to Altinkum for 13 years now and plan on going going for the next 13.
