Dolphin Square is 10 mins walk down the dusty roads or you can get the bus for 1 turkish lira about 30p. It gets very busy down here on a night time but there is plenty to do for everybody the restaurants are all very nice and the food always hot and freshly cooked. If you hav'nt been to Altinkum before and want some English food visit the Queen Vic in the square. The owner is actually Australian but its an English restaurant and bar every time we go we get a bottle of house wine on the house. The first time we went here my daughter ordered pizza which had some kind of herbs on which she did'nt like, we told the staff and the pizza was taken away and she was given the menu back and told to pick anything she wanted at no charge. The shops are good too if you don't want anything just say so and they will leave you alone if you do want something haggle for the best price you will be surprised how much you can get things for. Altinkum market on a Saturday is very busy but well worth a visit very cheap.

The resort looked like a war zone with building materials everywhere, roads were uneven and full of pot holes, there were dozens of bars and restaurants and each one hassling you to eat there.
Maybe someone should explain to these people that if they stopped hassling more people would eat at there places.
The beaches where packed but obviously this was the time of year (August)but we managed to find a cove and had a wonderful 2 weeks on the beach.

Generally the resort was fine but I would put a reservation on it being offererd as a young family spot although this may change, however the attraction was orientated towards the older teen+ crowd
Beaches were ok but not cleaned very successfully at the end of each day, very crowded and with the rate of building going on doomed to be impossible in a couple of years.
Eating out was very good with an abundance of good places and plenty of Turkish food available.
Hasle-Hasle-Hasle from the Shop and Restraurant owners the one thing that caused many an evening, for a majority of people to be ruined, We for one found that after a couple of attempts of eating down town we were forced to remain in the hotel to eat out across the road,This has to be controlled it spoilt many a night out.

The resort was very busy which we expected in August but we nver had a ptoblem in finding places to eat.Beaches could be cleaner but ok.
Very dusty paths but you get use to this and it adds to the culture of Turkey,Market on Saturdays a must.
Overall a very friendly town.

We stayed in Altinkum, a nice resort with plenty to do.
Being kareoke fans we found lots of bars that had this. Did visit the beach but the weather was very hot so found the beach too hot this time of year.
The boat trips are a must they are worth the money, had a nice day out with a meal included.
There are plenty of shops the prices not too bad, but found the price of the drinks have gone up 100pc from last year.
All in all had a good holiday and would go back.

This isn't the first time we've visted the resort we've visted it 4 times however it was the first time we stayed in the Burak.
The area of night entertainment is excellent and is well situated within an area of many holiday apartments/hotels and borrows itself to a fantastic luxuary area for all ages.
We would recommend it to anybody looking for a relaxing, enjoyable holiday.

Altinkum was quite a lively place on a night, with a large selection of bars and restaurants. We had 2 excellent meals in the Grand Restaurant, opposite The Swan. I can't comment on clubs etc as we never visited any!

Quite lively in places but felt very safe. The guys outside the restaurants beckoning you to go in really started to aggravate me after a week; they just don't get it do they - be a bit 'cooler' and they'll get more business.
Force people to go in and they won't be relaxed or they probably won't come back again! Same in the shops - they really don't have a clue - it's all a game to them; they're only interested in your money of course.
Found most locals a bit 'false' but the guys in the SkyBar seemed OK.
Third beach really good - get the minibus from reception but make sure you buy your drinks and eat at the beach restaurant which owns the minibus you go in. We got shouted, yes, shouted at for buying a small bottle of water (20p) from an adjacent restaurant. Didn't go there again.
Nah, don't like Turkey much - locals too excitable and I really wonder if they like the Brits at all!!! - Greek Islands and people much much much better.
