The beach was a little packed during the day which was annoying, the sand was soo hot.
Also you had to PAY to use the tiolets! When we needed to loo we just went back to our hotel because it wasnt very far away.
The people were so friendly especially the men from Love tours they kept calling us the most beutiful couple in the world which was very sweet.Everyone knew us and remembered us it was great.
The only annoying thing was that when you walked around there would never be a time that you werent pestered to go into a restaurant or bar. Hpwever, everything else was very very good I loved it.

Altinkum is clean, but unless you go into Dolphin Suare, there isnt a great deal to do. Linekers The British Bar and Charlies are the main ones, but all very much of a muchness. If you dont like quizes, Karaoke and breakdancing you are snookered! as I said in the previous section, the beach need tidying, desperately!!!

Altinkum is a divided resort, top end quiter with nightlife only till 2am,nicer hotels, but not so much building work, plus a lovely beach, then the dolphin square end very lively.
Buzzing and always somewhere open for a drink, dance or something to eat, lots of great bars and some good fake designer shops too, then you have the area behind police station, which i remember being waste land now is all apartments, villas and new homes.

You are a five minute walk from the main town where the action happens go and take a look at night that place is alive with locals and visitors its great.
The sky bar across the road is a great place to meet up if there are a few of you doing your own thing as it is right next to the hotel and the staff are excellent you can go in just for a quiet drink.
The staff at the Penguine bar are also very nice it is right on the beach and they will come and pick you up if you ask in reception at the esra they will offer you a great time and thursdays turkish nights are excellent dont forget to book.
I would recommend Altinkum to anyone and am actually going back to Turkey my self next week as I had such a great time and the people are great. It is well worth the journey so book up and enjoy your holiday.

There's something for everyone in Altinkum, and the beaches are lovely. There's an eclectic mix of shops, bars and restaurants. I found the Turks to be extremely friendly, hospitable people. My ownly criticism would be of the business touting waiters and shop keepers who won't seem to let you go by without trying to flog you something.

Plenty of restaurants with their own style of entertainment.
Nigels restaurant was a brilliant night for all the family they really know how to make you welcome and it will be night to remember!
The beach is clean and central to shops bars etc. The harbour is pretty and by 2006 I understand will extend around the bay to third beach which is also a lovely beach.

The resort is definitely an up and coming resort. It's still a bit shabby but work is on going to roads and new buildings etc.
Very clean beach with a promenade and plenty of cafés, bars, shops etc. Every Saturday there is a market too. Water park is close by too, about 10 mins on a dolmus. £8 to get in for an adult. It has a web site(www.didmaquapark.com).
There are some ruins also in didim (Apollo) also 10 mins away. There is also Turkish baths, a funfair, camel rides, boat trips, everything is so cheap!!!
Some of the roads are still dirt tracks and there is poverty here and you will no doubt see some beggars.
Dolmus (buses)are 1 ytl and will take you anywhere in the resort.
Cash machines and banks are plentiful. As are estate agents!!!
The Turkish people are the most friendliest people you will ever meet.

The resort we found was great fun plenty of shops bars and restaurants.
The beach was small but fairly clean.
We would not come back as 1 week was enough time to see what Altinkum has to offer.
