I stayed in the Simba on the 24.7.05 and I enjoyed it.

The rooms were very clean even though our room was under the pool and only had one window and no TV.

The food was OK but it was more Turkish dishes than anything. The hotel was by the beach which was good. The going up to the hotel was extremely steep (not very good for wheelchair users or unfit people).

Another problem was the credit card system in the hotel its like your not in control of your money and they already have it (its robbery).

The hotel staff were friendly especially, daisy, behind the bar. But I have heard better English.

The entertainment in the hotel was fab they had all kind from belly dancers to synchronized swimmers.

I dont think I would go back to the Simba, the credit cards put me off.

Hi
I have just returned from a two week holiday at the simba !!!!!

Although the hotel was clean, we stayed in newly refubished rooms, which were DAMP cold, I know that'll be great in the summer but the rooms 107 to 111 never saw the sun so they were cold damp and musty smelling.

We had to put our clothes out every day when we returned from the pool, beach or just a day out.

We put them on a clothes horses so they could dry !!!! The bedding was always cold and damp each night when you went to bed.

The staff were very friendly.

You couldn't take any food into the hotel at all !! Even though they didn't sell fruit you couldn't buy it in the markets and take it back as it would be taken off you by the security man on the gate.

THE HILL if you are not fit or have difficulties in walking in the heat this is not a good hotel to stay, although the walk is not very long the last bit of the climb to the hotel is a killer.

The hotel was very basic but it was clean.

The food was revolting and the same thing was served for breakfast every morning as there were not many people staying there.

The hotel is located on the outskirts and it is situated on top of a hill, so be sure to read the map.

The staff were ok.

There was no entertainment whatsoever.

If you do stay at this hotel I would recommend that you book no trips through the rep as they are much cheaper in the town.

The Hotel was clean and kept well, we had a great veiw over the pool and looking out onto the bay of Gumbet.

The pool was very good for all ages, we have 9 kids between the ages of 17 and 3, and they all enjoyed splashing in the pool.
The breakfast I was OK, but there was`nt alot of English food for the kids, the evening meal was the same, a wide range of foods but little English.
The card system they used in the hotel was ok, you don`t have to carry money around with you.
Prier to us getting there we asked First Choice if there were a kids club there or anything, they said there was but there was nothing, no entertainment at all for the kids.
One of the nights they had a bellie dancer on, but it was only for the staff beleive it or not, some sort of gift from the owner to the staff...
The walk to the beach was ok, not too far, and there`s a great bunch of guy`s in the shops in Gumbet, J.J from "Mr Cheaps, Lee, Sanchuck.
The trips where good also, the only problem with the boat trips you have to buy there drinks on the boat, you can`t take your own on, even food for the kids.
See Sandy on the beach for your trips, she run alittle wooden hut there, she was very helpful, and also Lesley in the town "Queen Travel" she will sort you out with some good trips..

Hiya everyone I went to this hotel this year and I really enjoyed it, it I'd definitely the place to go as it has very good standards in all areas.

The cleaners were always very good the food was brilliant and as for the bar staff they were brilliant the best I've ever meet they were always so nice to you and always willing to help and they definitely knew how to do their job(seeing as there was a comment made about them not)

It's definitely the place for teenagers as they can make friends (as I did Hi Rachael) The same for little ones as their entertainment is very good.

I would definitely go back again Katy xxx

this hotel is definately not for children, the pool is dangerous with no shallow end and having 3 children we could not take our eyes off none of them 1 of my children is 19 months old and the splash pool had a big drop so she could not step in it alone and it was attaceh to the big pool with just a barrier to section it off.
the room was basic but clean and the cleaner made some lovely flower and heart shapes with the bed linen.
the music was loud and did not understand what they were singing as it was hard rap every day.
they had nothing for the kids to do and no entertainment for them day or night.
we had trouble sleeping at night as the music was on till late and very loud and we were put next to the games room where kids played and were screaming till very late too.
some of the staff were poilte and pleasent but there were a couple that were rude.
we were bed and breakfast but never had breakfast there once as it was continental and my children did not like it but i filled my babys bottle up with juice one morning and got shouted at by the restaurant manager.

The Hotel Simba was a good hotel with friendly staff (if some a little too much at times) We found the entertainment ok, though some acts were better than others, but as our kids were 16 and 11 they pretty much went with the flow. The poolside was slippy (most are)as our daughter found to her cost. Onsite doctor vey expiditious but as we're both first aiders, he wasn't required!
We only ate there a couple of times and we found the food to be satisfactory although stiff competition from the wide variety on offer in the town.
Special thanks have to go to the hardest working 16 year old in Turkey 'Orange' or Mehmet to give him his real handle. The nicknames they give themselves are both fun and easier to pronounce. Also Dolphin, Kylie and Daisy were very helpful.
I'd say a good holiday was had by all and would certainly return.

I have just returned from my 3rd time at hotel Simba. I was there in May 2002 and October 2002, when the lovely couple which own the hotel had their wedding reception at the hotel. This wedding was beautiful and all guests were invited.

This time again exceeded our expectation, very nice to see the staff remembered us and lovely to see them all again (Dave, Alpear, Pedro, Romeo and all other staff including receptionist and cleaners)

The bar staff made my holiday - and being a young teenage girl a lot a fuss was made for me, many people said the boys at the bar were to much but it was nice to be the centre of attention for 2 weeks.

Hotel was cleaned everyday spotless and the staff work so hard it makes me angry when people slate their hard work to make you have a good holiday. Nobody was rude and you are treated with the upmost respect

Food was better than 2002 and quite good choice.

Very nice to see all the crew again and some new faces (l) Charlie (l).

For me this is the perfect holiday and I'm going back next year. Can

It was really fun

The cleanest hotel I have stayed in

The staff are really friendly

The pools are really cold at first but that's good because the heat is far too hot

The food is really traditional Turkish food and not alot of English stuff so if you like a full English breakfast do not come here

The breakfast at the hotel was ok and the hotel was spotless. The hotel food takes a while to get to you but when it comes it is ok.

The location is about a 10-15 minute walk to resort centre. The hotel operates a card system which is very good because you dont have to carry money around the pool with you.

The hotel staff would do anything to help you they do some entertainment which is alright.

My favourate member of staff was orange(mehmet) we keep in touch by texting each other. I hope to go back again next year to see mehmet again.
